Kuro (in Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood) Davie Reviews from The Last Year
Ambiance is very young and casual.
About half of the people were wearing t-shirts and sandals. Our waiter, Richard, was less than friendly and enthusiastic. Had next to no recommendations or guidance on what to order or how to order given that he said there are "no sides." It would've helped to know that I could order a bowl of rice, you just can't call it a side order of rice per Richard. Drinks from Richard were very slow, but near instant when the manager was made aware we still hadn't received our second round of drinks. Food is okay. Nothing to write home about. Everything we ordered was good, but wasn't great. You'd be better off going to somewhere like Osaka for really great food and an even better ambience.
The food and service at this restaurant were fantastic.
The sushi was exceptional, and our waitress was very kind and attentive. The ambiance, with its low lighting, added to the experience. Despite not having a reservation, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated within an hour on a busy Saturday night. This place truly exceeded our expectations. Definitely going back! Also, their crispy tuna is the bomb! 10/10
The secret of Kuro: come when it's not swamped.
Early or late is great. Peak periods you'll hate. Perfection comes at a price. They've come up with a wider variety of price points for A-list and more usual offerings. If you're going to try a few dishes and sushi, expect it's about $100-150 a person, all in. You can do less, if you don't get too adventurous. On the low end: The California roll is OG, real crab. Definitely see how it once was done. Their soft shell crab roll is one of the best that I've ever seen. On the high end, the dishes here are OMG good. Freshest seafood. Subtle preparation. The oysters three ways was a command performance in subtlety. The ambiance, for a restaurant nestled in a garish casino atmosphere, is pretty awesome too. See the photos. Bar is amazing but, even at half occupancy, slow slow slow. It took 35 minutes from ordering to get my drink. The service, when they're not booked to the eyeballs, is excellent too. When they are swamped, especially on big show days at Hard Rock Live, it moves from a quality experience to a mid grade one at top dollar. It's not the staff. It's the design of the restaurant. The place simply doesn't have the kitchen to table, or bar to table bandwidth for the 5 alarm fires that big events, on top of a hotel and casino, require. Vegas restaurants have this down. Not here. Great place, except when assaulted by the rat race.
Went here Saturday night for dinner with some friends.
We were seating around the beautiful bar by their wonderful manager Danny. He was a pleasure to speak with and made sure our dining experience was above and beyond. Our server Chuti was attentive and made great recommendations. We had a couple rounds of cocktails and everyone agreed that the cocktails were very well made. I particularly enjoyed their lychee martinis! We ordered a bit of everything and it was all well executed and delicious! Those crispy tuna rice cakes are addicting and so were the spicy edamame! Great sauce. The short rib was melt in your found and the glaze they serve on it is really good! Get their miso cod too. The best miso cod I have had and it was super moist. Can't wait to come back!
I am surprised I did not like this place.
It is very attractive and I like the way it is decorated. We Dat at a high top overlooking the bar. I liked the setup. Normally I prefer to sit in the main dining room of a restaurant but the bar area is lively. I like that. I loved the dessert. I forgot to take pictures of some things. But let me say, I ate the whole thing myself. I offered my friend some but he doesn't eat sweets very much. I ordered the mochi cake. It had a couple cakes and some Okinawa ice cream with miso caramel. I wasn't sure I would like it but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Mushroom Katsuo salad. It looked good but was sorely lacking flavor. My tall Margarita did not seem tall. Maybe our server did not input it correctly. Worse than that is when he comes back and asks my friend if he wanted a second drink and ignores me. I had no drink left. My friend asked our server for another one for me. I had ordered Patron the first time buy don't think it was that in the second drink. I asked for a new one but never received it. The first drink was pretty good and the second one was not. My tenderloin steak was OK. It is not worthy of what they charge. The two carrots were ok too. I tried my friend's Brussel sprouts. I thought they were OK. He loved them. He thought his sushi was on the small side. Overall, I prefer Council Oak. I don't see the excitement about this restaurant.
Service was excellent however the sushi portions where
Service was excellent however the sushi portions where undersized and overpriced, quality seafood but nothing amazing considering coastal location. Would go again and try some dish other than the sushi. Good atmosphere.
If you are in the mood for fancy expensive sushi, this is
If you are in the mood for fancy expensive sushi, this is the place you go !! The food overall is a 3.5 star given the prices. The restaurant is usually very busy on the weekend and it is recommended to make a reservation ahead of time. We ordered the sashimi omakase, very nice presentation, def Instagramable but it's not too good valued. The seabass is not good. Not my favorite. The scallops are Highly recommended. The sushi omakase is okay, and the octopus is just very mediocre The portions tent to be on the smaller end. I guess this is a place you go to when you win a lot of money in the casino because for the price tag, it ain't worth it.
This is a Very pretty place .
They have good food but it kind of pricey small portions
Everything was perfect And everything on the menu is
Everything was perfect And everything on the menu is delicious Been there a dozen times First choice spot Now there's new cherry blossoms that make the place look incredible Get the donuts !!!
Used to love this place but their customer service is
Used to love this place but their customer service is terrible. We recently made a reservation (weeks in advance) and tried to add two more people shortly after. You don't talk to the restaurant directly they have a 3rd party booking service, so all they were able to do was put in a request to add people to the reservation with no guarantee Kuro could accommodate. This was for a birthday party so after over a week of calling and getting nowhere, we couldn't wait on them anymore and had to find another restaurant. Very unfortunate. Just give people a yes or no.
Excellent restaurant
The waiters are very kind. Obviously good Japanese food. The meat and fish of all types are also excellent. Pleasant environment in the old part of the hotel.
Superb service and food
Wonderful sushi, tacos, main entree, drinks. Atmosphere and vibe are superb. Marcos is amazing. Very attentive, made suggestions, answered questions. Just perfect
By far one of my favorite dining experiences in the Fort
By far one of my favorite dining experiences in the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood area. For starter you must get the tuna crispy rice and Wagyu Tacos. We usually do a family style tasting to get a taste of all the unbelievable flavor combinations. Some other favorites are Wagyu Beef served with a hot rock to cook at the table to your own desired doneness, shrimp tempura, and all the sushi rolls are amazing. If you want a modern take on a Japanese restaurant with amazing social experience, this is for you. And don't forget you can also hit the casino floor after for a little adult time fun!
Made reservations to Kuro specifically for their Sunday
Made reservations to Kuro specifically for their Sunday Brunch after seeing reviews of it on YouTube and wanted to give it a try. Location - it is located in Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. It is about a 45 min drive (give or take 5-10 mins depending upon trafgic) from South Beach Miami area. Parking - you can valet or self park in the ramp. If you valet, you'll need to walk to the end of the hotel past high stakes to find the restaurant. If you self park, you'll take the elevator then escalator into the Casino and you'll be half of the way to the restaurant once inside. Reservations - you'll want to make reservations. You can do this online. Finding the exact site to book it was a journey - so here you go: https://www.sevenrooms.com/reservations/kurohollywood They do not pick up the phone here. So if you're like us and had follow up questions or requests, good luck getting in contact with someone directly at the restaurant. We tried calling a few times with the direct number that the hotel provided, we also made sure to call during their business hours as well. When we called it connected us to the main casino and hotel line where they had to put us on hold to then call through to the restaurant to ask the question for us. Price - $125/per person. Children 12 and under are $60ish per kid. We had two kids in our group (ages 2 and 4 and were charged the $60ish per kid) Food - decent quality seafood. Few others in the group enjoyed the caviar. Hot dishes were minimal but considering it was for brunch it did the job. Seafood was yummy, particularly the king crab and oysters. Drinks - plentiful and delish. They offer bottomless bubbly Champagne, Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Sangria. Service - seems like all servers work together collectively versus having specific tables to tend to. Most of the servers were attentive. Majority of the servers were kind. Ambiance - the place is nice and tables are spaced out accordingly. They have tables both inside and outside of the restaurant. All in all, a good spot to try for the experience and seafood. I'd say if you aren't a big seafood eater, it may be better to opt for a different brunch spot.
Kuro Asian Restaurant Is A Must
Kuro Asian Restaurant is excellent. It is a beautiful place with a super cool bar. All the food was 5 star. The service by Dana was excellent
Beautiful restaurant, delicious food
It’s hard to write 100 words, I only have 3 “Tasty, beautiful, expensive.” You need to remember: a table in this restaurant must be booked in advance.
Really good Sushi expensive but worth every dollar spent.
The wagyu tacos are too small but they are so tasty.
I used to love this restaurant.
But now recommend you Do not eat here. Expensive. Low quality. Our food was so bad even the waitress tasted it and agreed. Lots of turnover in the kitchen and it showed. The manager was called but never showed. No surprise with a place run like this. Service is so awesome but the food is so bad. Save your $ and go somewhere else.
There's nothing negative to say about this brunch.
The best that I've been to in Miami. Every staff member was very attentive, our server Miguel was funny and on top of everything. Abbey at the front was an absolute doll. I could go on and on about everyone there. There were so many food stations, we were unable to get to all of them. My primary focus was the seafood. We were seated near the window overlooking the pool, which was absolutely gorgeous, the drinks never stoped coming, thank you Miguel! And as soon as we got up to get new plates, our table was cleaned and ready for us to return; again attention to detail was immaculate. The food was top-tier, everything tasted like it had been prepared in small batches, not like a buffet at all. The pasta station was phenomenal as well.
When it comes to hospitality, ambiance and excellence
When it comes to hospitality, ambiance and excellence meals, Kuro is always a go-to. Prices can vary, steep to an extent but a great place as an occasional or special event dinner spot. Sushi is always fresh and meat cooked perfectly.
I've been to Kuro for Dinner but first time for brunch And
I've been to Kuro for Dinner but first time for brunch And never for lunch Our server was Tim And he was being HIM When we got to our table it was set up with toast and caviar So small, but cost bizarre But it was included in the all you can eat Other options include seafood, sushi, breakfast and meat The price was 125 a person and the deal is only available Sunday Unlimited mimosas and other alcohol for you to have a lit day I love how the king crab is cut for you to easily peel and eat And the lamb chops were my favorite meat They also had some smoothie shots and tasty dessert Eat slow, so you don't spill on your shirt I wish I was there now, what a flirt!
I used to love this place but from a food perspective this
I used to love this place but from a food perspective this place has gone so downhill. Even the servers acknowledge this. The delicious short rib of yesteryear is mediocre even if it is a large piece of meat. No reason to come again. Went from a. 5 to a generous 3.
As other restaurants in the Hard Rock are, very pricey but
As other restaurants in the Hard Rock are, very pricey but everything was good. We had the Wagyu Tacos, Chilean Seabass & Beef Short Ribs. Even tho the short ribs were good I've had just as good or better for 1/2 the price, but I understand this is an upscale restaurant & they do pack them in. Drinks were great & service was amazing.
Nice upscale Asian restaurant'.
We sat at the bar and waited on our party who were flying in from out of town. The bar staff did not acknowledge or wait on us but took care of a small group that came to the bar after we did. The other couple arrived a few minutes later so we opted to get seated and skip the bar. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all delicious! Our server was attentive at first then we lost her. We understand a crowded restaurant but to sit at a table, thirsty, with empty drink glasses is not acceptable especially after spending over $600. We would have ordered more food but decided to leave and get drinks at Cipresso.
Amazing Brunch!
What an incredible brunch! $125 gets you all the good stuff….beef wellington, crab legs, bottomless mimosa/bloody marys/aperol spritz/etc…. Shrimp cocktail, eggs benny, desserts, and so much more. My son ate his weight in sushi. Everything was delicious and service was great.
A New Style of Japanese Food
Nice restaurant. Like most at the Hard Rock, a bit expensive. We were seated quickly but not in the best spot for two. I had my back to the whole restaurant and was very close to coupled on each side. Nice drink selection and drink specials. I had some crunchy yellow fin appetizers and a spicy tuna roll. Bother were excellent. Wife had a Green Goddess salad, very large and a spicy salmon roll. She liked both. I tried the salad and it was good but I wasn't crazy about it. Service could have been a bit better but overall a nice experience.
Excellent dining experience!!
This restaurant really defines very fine dining experience. From the wait staff, Wally and Daniel and their manager, I really experienced excellent customer service. From the hostess to the wait staff, the attention to details most especially on the food menu, drinks and dessert were truly remarkable. Thank you Kuro! I already highly recommended you to my biz colleagues across US. And very special gratitude to Mr. William O. - Director of Food & Beverage Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood for this wonderful dining experience and his excellent oversight of the entire restaurant establishments. There are lots of very good restaurants in Hard Rock Seminole so enjoy every single one of them while trying your luck in the casino.
Great Sushi at Kuro
Best sushi I have had in a long time! Went to Kuro before a show. Could not get a reservation but was able to walk up and the hostess sat us at the sushi bar. Server was very attentive and the food arrived quickly after we ordered. Had the crispy Brussels sprouts and an order of shrimp tempura sushi. Added avocado and jalapeños. The ginger and wasabi was very fresh! Kirin Light beer. Great meal!! Will return.

That's what AT sponsorships are for - and you are only paying 25% in the first year and then less in year two and three.
I beliebe @EternalAnt36 was sponsored by @PerceptiveWash44 and is now doing $25k/mo.
You can write on the top sellers profiles (type 'Top 10' in the searchbar) and then tap request sponsorship button after you found the guy or gal like to work with!
