Eating in la Halle de Paul Bocuse
Without reservations in the Paul Bocuse great gourmet halls, we found the last table for 4 people - very closely to other tables - we ordered from a nice menu. One pot (the traditional measure of a carafe of wine meaning 48cl - and the fresh catch of the day - a "merlu" others took the Lyon sausage and one piece of the pâté en croute.

A pretty room, a peaceful atmosphere, friendly service, the table is elegant. Two lunch menus, foie gras, game cabbage for him and sea bream for me, pavlova for dessert. Pretty and tasty appetizers, well-considered wine pairing, the meal is good, the products well crafted and presented with elegance. The pre-dessert is very good, nice surprise. A very good, affordable table at lunchtime, even with wines and very good quality coffee. We will definitely come back

Gorgeous. This restaurant is named after a virtuoso of French cuisine who inspired an entire trend. True to its heritage, the service is perfect, the classic food is executed flawlessly, and the place is magnificent. A very nice address
Be the first to ReplyMenu not as good as usual…
We go there at least once a year and always take the centenary menu. We have always liked all the dishes but here we are a little disappointed. Gambas carabinos and sea urchin too special, taste too strong ☹️and the lobster was in minimalist quantity with a confusing sauce (soy sauce or other but not good at all). Fortunately the other dishes were good. I hope the menu will be changed soon otherwise we may not come back.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect blend of history and modern cooking
One of the best meals of my life. 95 Euro for lunch, though not cheap, was great value. The cooking was really precise. Never veered off to the sillyness and over tricky dishes you can get in some places at this level. Service was formal but still warm and friendly. Wines by the glass - I was on my own- we all great. Unlike a lot of star restaurants, this one I'd eat at over and over again.

Good cuisine and traditional dishes from Mother Brazier offered in the choices. Friendly staff. A small lounge just for the 6 of us. A pleasant moment.

High quality lunch menu at €95. Excellent sweetbreads. Starter with spider crab full of flavor. Dessert, a coconut soufflé, a little too sweet for my taste. Professional and discreet service. A very good table.

Grande cuisine francaise, grande tradition. Just exceptional. Good service. It is the most fantastic souffle we have ever experienced. Beautiful ambiance. Finally, there is a restaurant with no background music.

We've been wanting to go there for a long time. Maybe it’s the lunch service? No great emotion on the plate and mini portions for dishes costing more than €80 a la carte, we were so expecting sweetbreads and ice cream, juice, 2 mini pieces, 1 small of sweetbreads, 1 mini of lobster. Fortunately the prawn starter raises the taste buds a little. What a disappointment, 2 stars, the room is approximate without heat, the toilets without attention to detail. We won't come back.

Impatient during my stay in Lyon to discover this institution! No disappointment, perfection from A to Z. The 2 macarons are well hung. The lunch option at 95 euros is a magnificent proposition for discovering this cuisine. A must do.

Start by reading the book “Dirt” by Bill Buford. Next, make a reservation at La Mere Brazier and anticipate the delight. Finally, arrive for a truly pleasurable and delicious experience. Ours lasted 3 hours during which we were treated with kindness and professionalism throughout 3 courses and even more amuse-bouches! We could not have been more welcomed. Thank you to the entire staff of La Mere Brazier.
Be the first to ReplyFood was ok, service is emergency lack of Stars quality
First of the ambient was not good lighting was to bright and was no music in 1 floor room. All courses were good but no wow factors. Service many times forget to fill up the water( just have no eyes for it) after told one of the service guy we received no apology but attitude. We have been more than hundred Michelin restaurants worldwide this by far the worth. After discussion we just took out the gratuity! Really not deserve 2 stars now I know why this it the only Michelin restaurant available on that date no surprise! Feel bad for the founder coz this is basically very old heritage restaurant in town more than 100 years old.
