We didn't make reservations for this restaurant, however we waited in line for a bit and it was well worth it. The food was great, service was great, and the vibe of sitting outside and have a nice dinner was just what was needed.

This restaurant is on the heavily populated street with the marche des fleurs, so the line gets long pretty quickly to dine here. We had grilled Dorado & grilled octopus. Both were well cooked and the service was good. It was nice sitting outside as this street provides excellent people watching.

We arrived at a perfect time before the line started! The young man who served us was the perfect employee! He helped guide use through the menu and we had the lasagna and seafood spaghetti! We were served very large portions with everything you could ask for. The bread was fresh and the olive bread was our favourite. The wine was a perfect addition to our meal. The service was terrific, the food was wonderful and our experience was perfect!
Be the first to ReplyYep- definitely recommend La Voglia.
We walked past this restaurant several times though our stay in Nice, and there's always a line. On our last day, we were looking for a lunch place, and saw no lines with a couple of tables open in the outdoor dining area! We saw this as a sign to check it out... My spouse ordered the plat du jour, which was a trio of kabobs while I got the fritto misto. This was one of the best fritto mistos I've had--I really liked the assortment of fishes included. Voglia is definitely a must try!

We had dinner at La Voglia in Nice one evening back in August. Honestly, it didn't seem like there was any really many amazing options for restaurants in Nice, most places seem to just cater to tourists, which I guess makes sense in a tourist trap-type town. La Voglia had a pretty long line in front, lots of tables outside and a pretty decent sized indoor section as well. I would say we waited for about half an hour; my wife and I were willing to take the first available table, most people wanted to sit outside, so we were able to get in a little faster. The food was good not great, not really memorably good or bad. But what I do remember was the size of the dishes, they were massive, and the prices were pretty cheap considering the portion size. Bottom line, I left happy overall, and in a town with not really awesome choices, I would go back if I am ever back in Nice.

4.5 stars but will bump it up for the reasons below. Came late at night about 8pm and there was a small wait about 10 minutes. They almost always have a line when we pass by. They are busy here but service does move fast and work hard. Their menu is extensive and reminded me of a cheesecake factory vibe with their seating, menu options and size of the dishes! Definitely great value for what you pay.1. Pizza - Good, not too soggy, flavorful2. Seafood pasta - Loaded with ingredients and a tasty sauce to it. Lots of pasta.Overall, I would come here at least once or if you have a big appetite in the area.
Be the first to ReplyHad an amazing experience at this restaurant.
Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but we were offered appetizers free of charge (and, of course, water).Furthermore, as my date wasn't feeling too well and barely touched their food, the waiter (without us asking) told us he wouldn't charge us for it.All in all, i have zero complaints -- we didn't have to wait long for our food even though the restaurant was very busy, it was delicious, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel good. Will come again in the future.

Wonderful service, food, and atmosphere! I had the Salmon and Tuna and my partner had the black truffle risotto. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Nice. The food is reasonably priced too. Four stars because we requested to share entree but we were discouraged by staff. Portions are huge.
Be the first to ReplyPatrick, our waiter, is the best.
He was so respectful, funny, and helped us save a ton of money. Don't let the prices fool you-you'll get a lot of food for your pay! Big plates. The salads are huge. So glad we didn't get two pastas on top, we would've had so many leftover. We got the bufala and pistachio pizza. The bufala was pretty underwhelming and hardly had any sauce on it. The pistachio was good. Overall pizzas were pretty average. The Caesar salads are terrific. So much food. Great sauce. Tasty cheese. Thanks Patrick!! We will be back for pastas.

Open for lunch and dinner, La Voglia is one street off the beach next to the old town section of Nice. We ate dinner here. Many places in Nice take reservations but La Voglia does not. If you arrive during a peak time, there will be a line and it can get long. It can still be worth the wait.As a group of 4, I saw 4 different dishes. One pizza and 3 pastas. any one of which would be a great meal. I ordered the spaghetti fruit de mer (spaghetti fruit of the sea). Overflowing in fresh mussels, clams, octopus and shrimp, it was a joy to eat as I live most of my life landlocked and can't get fresh seafood. Our table ordered olive bread (delicious) and it was served with spicy olive oil. If you like can't get enough, there is a olive oil shop down the street.Nice is a tourist location and prices are a little high, but the quantity of food more than makes up for that. La Voglia is a great value for a beach side city.Reminder: Europeans tend to eat later than the US. So La Voglia opens later for dinner. All around are bars where you can get a before dinner beverage, just don't be too late becasue then you get to wait in line.

Great Italian food!! We all really enjoyed the food and the experience. Delicious pasta seafood dishes.
Be the first to ReplyOne star is way too much for this place.
The food was just OK nothing stands out. What stands out is their extremely rude servers. The entire staff wasn't friendly at all actually. When I asked the sever for a knife to cut my pizza, he tossed one on the table! Not so clean either.
Be the first to ReplyWe ate at La Voglia for lunch on Oct 1, 2019.
The food was great and our service was prompt and courteous. We started with the burrata salad and had pasta for our entrée. If you are not big eater I'd recommend sharing a plate. Unfortunately I couldn't take my leftover with me since we didn't have refrigerator in our hotel. Too bad because the gnocchi I had was simple and delicious! Definitely get the burrata salad it was outstanding. Everything was fresh and was a plated with culinary artistry. The outside dining area where we ate provides a scenic view of Old Nice and Cours Saleya. As you dine you can enjoy watching the hustle and bustle of all the tourist making their way in and out of Old Nice.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, huge portions.
We ordered some kind of flatbread appetizer, seafood linguine, rigatoni, and meatball/mushroom pasta. For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake with ice cream. The pasta was all good quality, and the dessert was delicious. The rigatoni was a little over-sauced, but it was still a good dish. Our server told us he didn't expect us to finish, and he was right! Luckily they boxed up our food for us to take away. Our server spoke English and translated some of the dishes for us, but the dinner menu was in English already, which was helpful. We waited about 20 minutes outside, which was reasonable. We did not experience any rude or racist servers, our server was very nice and hospitable, so it probably depends on what time you visit. We came on a Saturday night so it was very busy, but they were accommodating to us.

July 27th, 2019-08:30 Pm- Great food, amazing pasta selection and astonishing desserts BUT extremely noisy, AVOID UPPER FLOOR! Five stars once acoustic issue is fixed. Villa d'Este sister company, few blocks away, same great food, no noise!

Come here if you want a miserable dining experience fromrude servers and manager. If you are Asian, you will be insulted more by their racist acts and comments. This place is owned by one group which also owns Boccaccio, La Villa d'Este, La Favola, Di Piu, Le galet, Babbo Mio. Avoid those places as management clearly does not care about customers.

We saw some people eating on the patio and we had to eat here! We are so glad that we did. We were seated right away at 12:20, but the rush came about 5 minutes later. I ordered the lobster linguine and my husband ordered the rigatoni. Both were absolutely delicious! Very different flavors, but perfect! The service was wonderful, the view of the passers-by was entertaining. We sat next to the most wonderful woman who told us stories about her life and it made the meal even more special. When in Nice, we will come again.

We ordered Lasagna and Sole Meunière. Both were great and the portions were huge. Our server was very friendly and we really enjoyed this experience!!!
