Great experience
The best Japanese restaurant in Paris. No doubts. Worth every penny. A real experience, great cuisine, service needs some improvement but all in all I give 5/5.
Be the first to ReplyAn elegant balance btwn French and Japanese cuisines
The location by itself is exceptional in the heart of Paris: large space, parking on the spot, in a prime location. The dining at the counter is a surprising experience but overall very positive. The menu offers a perfect balance btwn 2 cuisines, where one is dominated by the extreme simplicity of it (and it actually is the product by itself that shines, more than anything else) and the the other one is dominated by a work and an assembly of tastes to provide a rich dish and a succession of flavors. The sommelier makes a perfect mastery of his wine list and executes really well the delicate exercise of pairing with sake instead of wine. The dessert is an exceptional creation from the pastry chef: a leaf being cooked in liquid nitrogen, to be eaten on the spot for real shivering! A perfect 2 stars, where some dishes are know to you and are elevated, while others are totally unknown.

We enjoyed the whole dinner. Everything was perfectly settled and so delicious , all I have to say is: Itadakimasu and thanks for this wonderful experience with the sushi master (chef) , we will back soon,

Forget Jin, sushi B, Benkay and other sushi places in Paris. This restaurant is the one. Why? Simply 3 points 1/ First the setting - Place is lovely and cosy with less than 20 seats, most of them at the counter (ask for it if tou can you will see the whole team working for you). You are in Pavillon Ledoyen near Concorde, Champs Elysées and the Seine, what else? 2/ Service is top nutch - Chef is in front of you, waiter and waitress are "aux petits oignons" and bonus: we had a special tour of the pavillon with my 6 years old kid who wants to become a chef 🥰 3/ Food is amazing - light, beautiful, original, with great products, wow We will be back!

Friendliest staff, not the best taste but innovative. This restaurant is not for everybody, if you expect a classic japanese taste don’t come here. Some of the food is amazingly good but not all. The sushi is a bit sour for me but some like it like that😃. Thank you for the kindness of the staff you will always feel welcome here.

We went to Alleno (upstairs_ a few years ago and had a great time there. At that point Lábysse was not yet open but one of the Somme (who now is the manager here) showed us around in preview. It is a beautiful space. Bright and plenty of room at the sushi bar for Omakase. They are very flexible too - my stomach had just recovered and I was shy about doing the full (large) Omakase. Ryne was able to add items after we finished the main items and before dessert which I thought was very nice. The staff are engaging and the chef is right there preparing the items and serving them. The pastry chef also is to the side and the items she was making were quite a show.

We've been in many excellent Japanese restaurants that offer prix fixe menus and we always end up very satisfied . In this case we chose the Menu Rencontre (180 euros) plus the wine/sake pairing (90 euros) and we ended up really hungry (and thirsty). The prestige and prices of this place are very high. One would expect a much higher price value. This is the first time we are not satisfied with the final results at a Michelin star chef restaurant. Neither the food taste nor the quality or amount were satisfying. The "wine and sake pairing" was not worth it. Service was fine but it was obvious that they were disappointed that we didn’t choose the Omakase menu ($320) as we thought the Rencontre menu would be more than enough . We would not go back or recommend it.
