Good Morning, just wondering if you still have the same phone number to place orders.
Be the first to ReplyGood homemade tortillas ( flour and corn).
Excellent masa for tamales. Unfortunately, they are closing forever on December 31, 2022 and will be retiring.

Queso con rajas. Green Chile with pollo. The best maza. Perfectly salted and good lard amount. Very clean facility. All the best of luck.

, 8/27/22, at the crack of dawn bought two chili colorado (red) tamales, and requested a freshly hand-made corn tortillas. See picture. These are day-old, reheated and not fresh even though the clerk insisted. Same with the carnitas. Guess they make a huge pot and reheat, rewarm and tastes crunchy and not freshly made. Since Covid-19 this business is going down hill fast. Long lines are no longer an issue. Guess it's time to throw in the towel. Look at my freshly made tamale picked up today 8/27.I only go there on Sat or Sun for the freshly made items. Unfortunately, it's time to throw in the towel. Business is hurting, prices increasing, low ratings on sale of food. Yes, I have been a loyal customer since Oct. 1977! I just went into the restaurant, we were a party of 2, clearly there was tables available, however we were told it was a 30 to 40 minute wait! I then asked the girl why the wait if there were at least 4 tables available, her response was those are saved for parties of 4-6, we weren't going to wait 30 + minutes for tables that were available. I wish I could rate a zero on the scale of rating but it didn't allow. You losing a party of 2 to possible waiting for a party of 4-6 really??? Those parties may never show up!!! You just lost a good customer that tips very well!!! Makes no sense!!! Very disappointing!! I won't be back!!! I used to be there with the original owners ( probably your grandparents)!!! So sad, money before people!!!
Be the first to ReplyBest fresh handmade tortillas ever.
..hands down. A coworker brought me here when I was in the area. The beans were absolutely amazing as well.

The best place to get handmade flour tortillas by the dozen. They also make great chicharrones and green salsa.

Sometimes they run out of tamales. So, you need to get there early.

I was looking for a place to get a pot of menudo and I found out they have it here. $ 8.50 a quart-ish. I got 3 plus 12 corn tortillas $28.00. It was less the the largest canned menudo from the grocery store but tasted exactly the same. Large meat but not enough. Too much hominy. Tasted okay but won't be back.
Be the first to ReplyThis review isn't about the food items whatsoever.
This review is for the waiting in the rain because the new menu which includes burritos and combo plates. The ideal way to keep your line moving would be to have a person making the new menu items and the other cashier to assist with masa, etc. Long line in the rain does not show good customer service but lack of service to the public.
Be the first to ReplyMy family has purchased Masa from this place for years.
Last year the masa tasted great as always. However, this year I purchased 15 pounds of prepared masa. The masa was greasy, and the tamales turned out horrible, so much grease , and the taste of the masa didn't taste good at all, it tasted like it was mixed with old lard. Totally ruined the taste of our tamales . I wish I read the reviews, I would of purchased masa in my own area., instead of driving 30 miles. But I knew purchasing the masa at Las Cuatro Milpas, I didn't need to worry of the quality. But this year, is the worse tasting tamales my family and friends made. It wasn't are filling , but the greasy tasting masa. Hopefully the business will read the reviews snd return to making it tasty again.
