L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon 151 NE 41st St STE 235 Miami, FL 33137 United States Miami Reviews from The Last Year
Enjoy the food, skip the wine pairing and order a bottle
My son and I drove 2.5 hours to L'Atelier for a Mother's Day meal and post-dinner we drove home. We had the chef's tasting menu as well as the egg/caviar dish and we upgraded the wagyu dish to A5. All excellent choices that were executed very well. No complaints at all about the meal and the service overall was excellent. We had originally planned to order wine by the bottle, but at the table, the server told us that there was a wine pairing with the chef's tasting if we would prefer. Neither this option, nor the price was shown on the menu. In an attempt to taste as much as possible, we chose the wine pairing. Out of the 8 courses and the amuse bouche, there were 6 wines that I enjoyed enough to photograph. The pours were very small but the bottle was left on the table after we were given a description of the wine. We didn't know if that was for presentation purposes or if we were to refill our own glasses, so we didn't reopen the bottles once they were re-corked. We received our bills (I paid for the beverages), I was charged $350 PER PERSON for small sips of wine plus a second gratuity fee (auto grat was applied to both checks). The hour was growing late and we had a 2.5 hour drive ahead of us, so I paid the bill and made our way home. Once home, I started looking up some the wines and the retail cost of each bottle was astounding. Here are the prices we found online for the wines we were served: Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc champagne: $66 Kerner Kloster Neustift Abbazia di Novacella: $24.99 Ridge 2022 Grenache Blanc: $42.99 Meursault Clos des Meix: $109.99 Savigny les Beaune Premiere Cru: $59 Hetszolo: $60 I paid almost $946 for wine that cost (on average) $60 PER BOTTLE and I doubt we even got a full glass between the 9 or 10 wines total that we tasted (plus the Perrier), not to mention the double gratuity. I called the restaurant and sent them an email. I was told that the auto grat is calculated by the item and that it wasn’t “doubled” which I don’t fully believe. They did credit me back $350 for one of the wine tastings which they didn’t have to do but we should have just ordered a bottle or two like we’d planned.
I'm really surprised this is a 2 star michelin restaurant.
The service is amazing, the ambiance is amazing, the vibe is sexy, but the food is just not it. It is overrated, boring, and the plating isn't as interesting as other places. I'd like the chef to play more with texture. Dishes were overall forgettable.
Worth the visit
Worth the visit. The food is great at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon. Very fancy and very classy. The food is delicious. Great restaurant.

Honestly I am a little disappointed with this place because I was expecting way more for a 2 michelin restaurant. The service was good but it was not exceptional, the table they sat us was like a bar table which I did not love, and then the food was good but nothing i would love to repeat or that actually blew my mind. It was crazily expensive for what we had!
Highly recommended - top of the tops
One of the best meals we have had. We secured reservations at the restaurant. To our surprise and joy, we had the opportunity to reserve seats at a special collaboration between this restaurant and Mila Omakase. The service, food, and presentation were unmatched in quality. A very special evening. Would highly recommend and hope to be back again.
Best food
L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon has some of the best food around. The meal was delicious. Really enjoyed the attention to detail. Great place to dine.
Exceptional dining experience
Exceptional Michelin star establishment. The dishes were creative, delicious and innovative. Fantastic dining experience.

Sat at the chefs table, the vibes were super chill !!! The service was awesome, what I would expect from a 2 star restaurant. I loved everything on the evolution menu !!! I went Super Bowl Sunday, so it was easy to get a reservation.
Came in for my anniversary/Valentine's Day.
There was a prefix menu that was curated and just amazing. All 6 courses were a journey and awesome! All of the staff were so hospitable and had charisma. Needless to say the service matched the food! Loved all of the art. The fresh flower exhibit at the counter was also beautiful. Being able to sit and watch the magic happen is such a treat. You saw all the stations working like a well oiled machine. My only draw back and I won't take a star away for this is it seemed like the sommelier didn't want to speak with us. We were very excited to try a new champagne or wine on the evening but didn't because he never spoke with us or gave us the attention he gave others. We didn't want to do just the flight offered but get a bottle. Other than that an amazing evening and I would highly recommend checking out this restaurant. They even gave us a special anniversary dessert! My first 2 start Michelin and it did not disappoint expect for that one thing.
Food was good.
Not great. 1,200.00 for two was 100% not worth it. Atmosphere was club/bar style. Nothing about this restaurant says fine dining. .
Who knew a 2-star Michelin restaurant could be dog
Who knew a 2-star Michelin restaurant could be dog friendly? It had to be outdoor seating, of course, but it still felt fancy! My husband and I ordered a la carte and decided on the pigeon, the pork loin, and truffle pasta for 2 to share. After we ordered our food, our server brought over a basket of bread. This was the ultimate breadbasket. It was like the bread was freshly baked from a bakery in Paris. The mini baguettes were good, but the croissants! The folds of the croissants were super fine! What a buttery bite of deliciousness. The staff members were happy to bring us a second, and third(!) round of croissants. Next came a complimentary amuse bouche from the chef to tickle our palettes. A tasty lil pumpkin bisque, followed by the truffle pasta for 2. The truffle pasta for 2 looked small, but once we finished eating, we realized we were very satiated. We had some time to digest the pasta before our mains arrived. Pigeon - This dish is a squab stuffed with caramelized foie gras, dressed in apple puree, with a lil side of mashed potato. My husband and I are familiar with this dish, as he tried to replicate it at home years ago. While his was delicious, Joel Robuchon's version was perfection. Suckling Pork Loin - This was the dish that I ordered. The pork loin was a nice thick cut, and the flavors were good, but the pork loin may have been a bit too rare for my taste. Crispy Skin Duck Breast - Both my husband and I enjoyed this dish. The skin was nice and crispy. The breast was cooked to a medium rare, good consistency and sufficiently juicy. For dessert, I had the Le Mont Blanc, which is a baked merengue, with elderberry compote on the bottom, and topped with sweet chestnut cream. It was a beautiful dessert. Tasty and not too heavy. My husband had the La Foret Noire, a black forest cake, with a chocolate disc set on top. We also got some complimentary chocolate tarts with sea salt and a small loaf of house baked banana bread packed to take with us. The small loaf of banana bread (not pictured) may look simple, but don't make the mistake of underestimating how tasty it was like I did. The banana bread was light, the texture was so smooth, packed with banana flavor, and with bits of chocolate in it! Why did I ever think this banana bread would not be good when we enjoyed everything else the pastry chefs at the restaurant made! L' Atelier de Joel Robuchon was such a treat.

All the food we got was life changing and the service was top notch princess treatment . The only thing that wasn't good was no air def needed to drop the air conditioning. my favorite was artichokes and lobster squid was the best flavor together
Good, but Opportunities for a True Two Michelin Stars Restaurant Experience
My husband and I were looking forward to this experience as it is the only two star Michelin Stars restaurant in Miami, but to be honest we were somehow disappointed. Having been to some other Michelin Star restaurants, they lack some very important details that some of the one star take very good care of. First one, there were several guests wearing caps and for those who want to spend a delightful evening in a luxurious dinner, having people with very informal attires such as t-shirts and caps, is not nice, we have been to restaurants not even close to being Michelin Star, and they request customers to remove their caps while in the restaurant, they definitely should be as rigorous in a two Michelin Stars restaurant. Second observation is the way the service is synchronized to make your experience wonderful, although waiters are extremely nice, the time in between courses took too long, of course you don’t want them to rush you, but a Michelin Star restaurant has impeccable synchronization and they don’t have it here, maybe it is that there was no master chef in the kitchen the night we went, or at least we did not see him, but the crew seemed disorganized. The tasting menu was good, the “le crabe royal”, rissoto, gizzard and of course the original recipe of Joel Robuchon’s mashed potato were some of our favorite ones; and the pastry they gave us to bring home was a very nice touch. Overall, good tasting menu, good decoration, good selection of wines and nice to see the kitchen from the counter; but considering the two Michelin Stars they need to care for the details that will make the experience truly extraordinary, so you feel that it is worth to spend such a significant amount of money and that the Michelin guide is not overrating them.

L'Atelier is one of many great restaurants in Miami with a touch of flair and two Michelin stars. The atmosphere was good and the service was great, the food was not extraordinarily the best. Some of the one starred Michelin restaurants may have a better tasting menu. If you are the type that just wants to go to the highest Michelin starred restaurant just to say you have, then this is the place to be. Some of the dishes were too rich in flavor or quite a bit too salty, like you needed a drink to balance it out. When I come to a top tier restaurant, I look for epic dishes and tastes to be on point and for the complexity of each bite. There were many highlights including the foie gras, spot prawn, and chocolate mushroom dessert but every dish should be the best ever not just some hence the four stars. All restaurants of this caliber should be a strong five stars, in my opinion. L'Atelier did however impressively offer us an additional plate of choice to make up for one of the dishes which was a bit too salty, we chose the Crispy Langoustine and it was also too salty for our taste. I would be happy to come back just hope that I will experience a "Je ne sais quoi" five star meal since the staff there were excellent!
Perfection
If you are in Miami and want to have a once in a life experience this is the place to go . Having dinner here is just a privilege. The menu is perfect with many choices that combine traditional recipes with a unique touch that makes the experience so pleasant . The service is perfect and the knowledge and advice about the wine list very professional. Thanks
An amazing experience that I will cherish for a long time.
Service and food were excellent-each course surpassed the one before. The service was warm and friendly as well. The Sommelier's wine recommendation was excellent too. Watching the chef work was incredible, such attention to detail, quality and teamwork. We will back soon!
First Class Dining with Great Food
I was in the mood to treat myself after a long day of business travel and decided to make a reservation for the counter at L’Atelier. They had various tasting menus available, but I ultimately went with the Chef’s Tasting Menu, which was $155/person for 5 courses, including dessert (this did not include any drinks). The standout star of the meal was definitely Le Risotto, a saffron risotto with razor clams cooked with chorizo. This was hands-down one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted – the saffron risotto exceeded all expectations and there was an unexpected crunch that the razor clams and the chorizo added to the dish, which made it supreme. Everything else was delicious, but the foie gras was so rich and decadent – truly a treat! Service was first class, sitting at the counter is always fun (you get to meet some fun people!), and the ambience still had the elegance of an upscale New York restaurant, but the energy was Miami all the way.

This place is really good.
They did over do it in the truffle pasta and it is pretty pricey. But the food was really good

The name of the reservation should be on the listing that was transferred to your account when you purchased the reservation.
