Very unprofessional and rude
Horrible. At first we were greeted nicely and figured this would be a great experience. Quickly our expectations were crushed. They fumbled our order completely, leaving us asking again and again to get what we were waiting for. They then tried to charge us for much more than what we ordered and even for the meals they never served. The same happened to the table right next to us and the hostess just rolled her eyes at them. Not sure what to think - is it a joke?! They charge more than double for coffee and pastry and yet they are so rude and unprofessional. They do not even deserve the “1” star.
Be the first to ReplyForget the food, drink the wine and people watch
Let’s be honest you don’t go to l’avenue for the food as it is very much average. It is all about the people watching wine drinking patio action. I got exactly what I wanted but was disappointed with the simplest of foods. A little revamp and a little love would do this spot justice.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful evening in Paris after a full day of shopping :)
We stayed at Hotel West End, so this restaurant was very close and right on the shopping strip. We did not have reservations and the place was packed due to "Fashion Week", but they made room for us anyway and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was amazing, attentive, I wish I could remember her name as she was simply the best! She did say she's been with the restaurant for years. Our food was perfect, my steak was cooked exactly as I asked, and the dessert was amazing. We almost didn't go here because of the reviews, but then I always say unhappy folks post reviews, happy customers rarely take the time to post one. All I can say is based on our experience, we had a wonderful meal, friendly staff, and great location. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Paris.
Be the first to ReplySuperb venue, food and service
I don’t know what everyone else is on about in these 1-star reviews. My colleague had booked this restaurant for our one night in Paris and after skimming TripAdvisor I was frankly about to cancel the reservation. Luckily, I didn’t. We were greeted warmly, shown to our table which had a great view and were served by the same attentive waitress all night. The food - while pricey - was delicious and arrived as hot (or as cold, as in the tuna avocado terrine) as it was supposed to be. Everyone was happy with their meal choices and we started and finished with some great signature cocktails. I would definitely go back next time I’m in Paris with my wife.
Be the first to ReplyBest tip - don’t go!
Was in Paris to enjoy fashion week and we were told this was the place to go and eat. BIG MISTAKE. the servers attitude was disgrace - she looked down her nose at us and the food is very overrated. If you want a tip, don’t bother going here, it’s really overpriced and not that nice a vibe.
Be the first to ReplyAu revoir
terrible service!I asked a skinny african women servant to see the bill. We waited for a really long time. Then I asked to pay. We waited… after several minutes which made me sleep she came and said wait a second. The she continued to lay the tables nearby. Unbelievable service. Overpriced and overrated. Food is just okay except that chateau is really awesome. Hope the restaurant can raise the food price a lot so that ordinary guys won’t have the qualification to have meals because the restaurant is only for the white guys who servants are willing to serve.
Be the first to ReplyCold food served at high prices
I was shocked that a restaurant in Paris that charges as much as this one would send out 2 cold main courses out of 5!! Two of us ordered the steak both meals came out cold even the spinach it came with. They took my meal off the bill as I was the only one that complained. Theres no excuse for a high end restaurant in Paris to allow cold food (thats meant to be hot) to be served to customers. The service and atmosphere was good but thats about it.
Be the first to ReplyBest meal we had in Paris
An unexpected delight. We saw this place on Instagram and managed to get a reservation. We were expecting it to be a bit overrated but it was the best meal we had in Paris and we are so glad we went. It had a very glamorous atmosphere and the staff were great. The menu was a little confusing but the waitress explained it well. I had ‘le Tigre’ which was incredible - so tasty. Drinks were good and we even went for dessert as we knew it would be nice. It was the most expensive meal we had in Paris but I’d say it was worth it!
Be the first to ReplyGreat & not cheap
Great food, but pricey. Service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was upscale. Recommended for special occasions or splurges, but not for everyday dining.
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant in downtown Paris
Thais, our lovely waitress from Brazil took excellent care of us all night. The food was good, yes it’s expensive but you are in downtown Paris so that is to be expected! We had tuna avocado, vegetable soup, escargots, endive salad, tuna steak, steak tartare and artichoke salad and various desserts and wine all night and only the French fries were cold, the rest was perfect. It’s lovely to people watch, you are in downtown Paris and lots of people walk by.
Be the first to ReplyDo not eat here!
Hello, hope all is well, I was a guest at your restaurant, which I have multiple issues of. First of all majority of the staff has extremely high entitlement level. They think they are the guests and the guests are the employees. I think they have the situation mixed. They don’t understand that they work there, they are the employees they cannot speak to guests as like guests work for them😂. There is one particular person her name is Laura. I want to bring a strong attention to the owners as majority of guests, and it’s clearly shown on your reviews people cannot stand her actions. She is the most ignorant, unethical thing we have ever encountered in our entire life. The only position she should be allowed to be held, is a toilet cleaner maximum! This ludacris unstable individual, was called towards our table because the chef did not make our steaks correct instead of her, exchanging it and bringing us another plate, she asks why did you eat it? This thing doesn’t understand people have to try their food in order to tell if it’s properly made or not and to add insult on injury she charges us the bill and when we confronted her, she started raising her voice pointing her fingers hitting my chest. It came to a point we were going to have her arrested for assault and insults. Please do this company a favor and remove her immediately as we are also speaking with multiple attorneys to have her litigated, hopefully even prosecuted for her inhumane conduct she is a disgrace to humanity. This time she dealt with us people that are very ethical and kept everything professional. Next time she might encounter someone else that she might not be so lucky and might cause a fight! Start teaching her and rest of your frenchie crew that worldwide when people don’t like their food, it usually is exchanged right away instead of asking baseless uneducated questions like this Laura did, actually when we call her uneducated that’s a compliment.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at L'Avenue in Paris, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant's location was perfect and the ambiance was beautiful The Tom Yum fish dish at L'Avenue was truly exceptional! If you're traveling to Paris, L'Avenue is a must-visit restaurant 📍 The food, service, and atmosphere were all of the highest quality🔝 The food at this restaurant is excellent, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city 🤩

We had a table for two that had a beautiful view of the Avenue Montaigne lined with Christmas lights in the trees. We enjoyed several glasses of Sancerre and Chablis, a tuna and avocado dish along with a rich mushroom truffle risotto. We shared our entrée which was a vegan curry with coconut sauce under a bed of edamame and spinach. Just delicious. Our service was wonderfully relaxed and unrushed. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. We will be back next time were are in Paris.
Be the first to ReplyGot it sooooo wrong!
It has been my favourite restaurant in Paris for the last 15yrs! I was excited to bring my children for the first time this evening. My 8yr old turned to me and said “why would that be your favourite restaurant. They made us stand and watch them lay the table, they forgot the water, got the wine wrong, the food was cold and the servers were just rude and uninterested! Out of the mouths of babes! In a nut shell it’s average food, served by slim, sort of attractive women, with a superior attitude, surrounded by the majority with their heads in their phones hoping someone has spotted them on Instagram, with not an ounce of class or manners. It’s basically the poor mans version of Annabel’s in London!

I went there in the new year and they welcomed me without reservation which was very rare in paris to c friendly people. The food is so delicious and the atmosphere was so nice in the new year💞
Be the first to ReplyA farce?
A place to see and be seen. If you dress ostentatiously (and if you're hot), they'll give you a seat on the patio. My companion and I were seated upstairs by the bathroom... The escargot appetizer was flavorful (savory oil and pesto?) and more importantly, fresh. The bread is kinda trash, so don't waste your calories. You're better off ordering a side of fries. Dijon mustard to dip, of course. Can't lie, the beef tartare was incredible. The rawish meat was prepared with the perfect amount of salt. Side of toast did the trick, but I'd recommend they replace it with sourdough toast instead. My companion enjoyed the sea bass as well, but we went for lunch so I stuck to cold food. Salads looked pretty good, too. We nursed some hair of the dog wine, and I also sipped on a pisco sour. I've had better, but what can you expect? It's not a Peruvian restaurant, after all. All in all, the food here was overpriced but tasty nonetheless. If you're looking to spend your hard earned money on a masterful culinary experience, I suppose you can find better.
Be the first to ReplyMy Favorite Restaurant Ever, Anywhere
I came to this restaurant 22 years ago, and it was so good I remembered it when I came back to Paris 22 years later. It is my favorite restaurant, anywhere. The food is amazing, unmatched. The staff are delightful, each one, you’d think, owns the place, so dedicated they are to making your visit perfect. L’Avenue is in a category of its own. It’s magical. If you only have one day in Paris in your life, you must dine at L’Avenue. You will remember it forever…
Be the first to ReplyGreat location, average food.
Great location, average food. Very good looking people and maybe run into someone famous. Overpriced food. We did meet some fantastic people there. Friendly staff with food suggestions.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful service and delicious food
What a lovely place at an excellent location. The food and coffee is delicious and the service is superb. The ladies are very nice and welcoming

Yes you come here for the scene and not the food. But if you’re an American they’ll sit you upstairs in Siberia. So no scene and bad food. Avoid. There are better places with a more genuine and friendly atmosphere. Oh and btw, you’ll get the worst attitude from the half naked hostess.
