Le B. New York Reviews from The Last Year
I don't know what these bad reviews are about.
Le B was excellent. The service is top notch and the food is absolutely amazing. Take my money! It was worth it!!
We visited Le B.
Last night for dinner and it was an incredible experience. The food was fantastic, but equally the team there went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best experience possible. The Maitre'd, in particular, made the night memorable. We've found our new favorite restaurant.
The worse
Horrible, horrible customer service. Rude, and inflexible. After falling sick, we tried to cancel and they charged us $200! When we called to apologize for the inconvenience and asked for them to waive their fee (we are not rich and can't just afford a $200 cancellation fee) they were extraordinarily condescending.
Worst customer service I've ever experienced.
We tried to move our reservation and they charged us $200. When We called to say we needed to change plans b/c we were sick, they said tough. Jaw droppingly rude.
Terrible service. High prices. Zero hospitality acumen.
Don’t think Ive ever dined someplace that left me feeling less appreciated as a diner. Staff either cold or plain rude. Sad when you go someplace with high hopes and leave so disappointed.
This was just missing something.
Every dish was good, sort of. But every bite was the same. There's no variation within dishes, at all. Everything is just a protein surrounded by a very rich sauce. And that's it. Here's salmon with a very rich cream sauce. Here's a crab pastry with a very rich butter sauce. Here's some whatever with a very rich Demi-glacé. And there's really nothing more to each dish. There's nothing else on the plate. By the end, it's exhausting to finish each one. They're great for a bite or two but then they just get boring because there's no variation.
Le B is incredible.
Frequent diners of the Beatrice Inn, we were excited to finally try Le B. We sat at the bar early on a Saturday evening and had a blast. Isha and Emily were so warm and wonderful in every interaction we had with them, and Chef even came out to greet us and tell us our order was superb. I can't wait to go back.
This is a sexy place! Dark and moody but well designed.
While disappointing that Chef Angie was away (looking at you Eric), Byron, Emily and the team took great care of us. The food was amazingly executed. Next trip to NYC will find me here again.
The hostesses are so rude to their customers.
They have been open a few months and act like they are the hottest restaurant in the city allowing them to treat customers in such a snobby way. Completely ridiculous cancellation policy. Will not be returning or recommending to anyone.
Sorry, but no.
It's in the 'less food for more money' category, but that premise assumes a level of extraordinary quality & exquisite taste that dinner didn't deliver. Very nice but very small and ridiculously expensive. Servers were lovely, and suggested we could 'split' two soups between the four of us--each arrived in its own croute-topped egg cup & was delicious. They even gave us the gift of a small unrequested cheese plate, but then charged us for it--luckily caught & apologized for. If you ever get to Bankok, go to Ms Maria & Mr Singh for a TRULY extraordinary tasting experience--$119.58.

If the service wasn't bad and the food was better and the food was cheaper and the food was brought out in less than 4 hours this could be a really good restaurant. Unfortunately it is not.
Do not eat here.
Terrible, awful, clownish level of service for fine dining. It was so bad. The food is totally underwhelming. Definitely not worth the price. Do not recommend.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
