Good experience
Nice decor and great atmosphere. Could become somewhat noisy. Food and eservice was good. Valet parking was available but could be slow during busy times.

We asked for quiet table and made reservation 2 weeks in advance for 4 We were seated next to bar and close to front door in main room. Unbelievably loud and cold wind every time door opened. Conversation was impossible. We ordered starters, salad and entree. They brought everything out at same time. Terrible service. 3 sets of dark stairs to get to bathroom. Food was good but will not return.
Be the first to Replytoo noisy!
The food is good though overpriced for some Vietnamese basics. The place is too low with heavy bass music, kitchen noise, and people trying to talk over the background noise all contributing to a headache. The waiter misheard my wine order and I couldn't understand what the waiter was saying and conversation became too hard with repetition and yelling. the tables are also too close together.

We had a very nice lunch. Went with family, sharing dishes and trying many things makes the experience better. The variety really callas for sharing.

We had visited this restaurant in the past, before COVID hit and a couple of times during COVID and we always enjoyed it. Earlier this year we visited her sister restaurant in Chicago and were quite disappointed by the ambiance, food and service, so we returned to our Houston classic to make sure it hadn't gone the same route as the Chicago venue. To our relief, nothing had changed: the place it still beautiful, elegant, the food is excellent and the service, prompt and efficient. We started with Banh Cuon (chicken & mushroom ravioli) and Bo Bam Cay (beef tenderloin ravioli). While the two looked very similar, the tastes were quite different, fresh and enticing. The wines by the glass were excellent (Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay), and the bottle of Priorat was delightful, For mains, we shared a half Roast Duck (Vit Quay) and a side of Ca Tim Nuong (Japanese eggplant chargrilled with garlic, onion, scallion and Jalapenos). The Duck was very flavorful, although parts of it were somewhat chewy. For dessert we shared a coffee mousse, along with a glass of Pineau dessert wine. Overall, while the duck could have been better (more tender), the evening was quite delightful.

We’ve always seen this restaurant while shopping at the River Oaks District and always wondered about it. We finally made lunch restaurant and I’m glad we did. The decor is very inviting and tranquil. Hostess was very nice along with the wait staff and food runners. Nice variety of cocktails and wines. We went with the Houston Restaurant week menu which had a great variety of different items. My son and I both ordered off that menu and tried each others plates. Everything that was ordered was very good and the plating was very pleasing. Service was good ( could use a little work in that department ) and we will definitely be back

Extraordinary service and food. Wonderful space Uncharging for rice feel trivial on $40 plates. The physical Menu tattered, Chinees carry out chop sticks are little things that would make this a true 5* but the shaking beef is worth coming back for
Be the first to ReplyMSG in food
The restaurant has nice service and environment. The menu is interesting. However, I and another colleague had the MSG reaction very soon after getting two different main meals. Be advised that they likely use MSG in their food.
Be the first to ReplyBad service
Although food is excellent, the service is not near the type of restaurant they claim to be. Careless, sloppy, slow and unprepared. No customer centricity and there was an excuse for everything. Surprisingly a few others in the table shared similar past experiences so it seems service is not consistent.

Nice vietnamite restaurant. Good food and kind service. I really enjoy the asian atmosphere and the cure to the detail making the experience unique
