Not fantastic but not bad either - I'd describe it as very solidReally enjoyed the chicken, the mushroom, and the bread. Chicken was tender, juicy, not dry at all - certainly I'd never get chicken breast to be that good. The mushroom was great. A little heavy on the sauce but it was very good. The bread and cultured butter were great, no complaints there. The wagyu ribeye was pretty average - pretty small portions and definitely not as good as some other wagyu you can get in the city. It was definitely medium rare but somehow still a little tough. Also the outside didn't have the same kind of crisp I enjoyed at other high end establishments. The raw seafood dishes were also pretty average. You'd definitely be able to find better at some of the nicer Japanese restaurants in the city. The scallop was pretty solid and the salmon was good but not great. Also the waiter seemed like he was trying to sell these dishes too hard? I wouldn't be surprised if these were some of the higher margin items on the menu, but the waiter was constantly asking if we would've liked more fish - at least 3 times. And he told us we didn't order enough and that guests typically get 5-6 (these things are like 15-18 each, so he wanted us to spend 100 on appetizers? That wasn't a great feeling)Dessert was the deconstructed s'mores which was decent but again not great. Very pretty dish though Overall the ambiance was good, employees were attentive, decor was fantastic, and the food was solid.
