Le Tsé Fung Bellevue Reviews from The Last Year
Magic
The place is absolutely magnificent! We arrived by the lake with the Reserve shuttle: a riva!!! Perfect welcome from the team: very professional and very warm, you feel good upon arrival. The terrace is magical with a sumptuous lake view. The meal is truly fabulous! The presentation of the dishes, the extraordinary flavors and the quality of the products: everything came together to have an unforgettable time. Special thanks to Robert and Nestor, their professionalism, their kindness and the attention paid throughout the lunch contributed to the great success of this moment! An essential stopover during a stay in the region!
Why a Michelin star?
The place is magnificent. The meal is not worthy of a Michelin star. We took the business menu at 75.-CHF. We were surprised to find "Asian chips" as a starter that you buy in a supermarket. The appetizer, a small ball which was tasteless. The seafood soup was delicious, quite spicy but we liked it. The tofu rolls and smoked vegetables were not at all to our taste. The tofu remains chewing gum in the mouth, difficult to swallow. The Siu mai with shrimp and chicken were good. Breaded shrimp with garlic and chili were delicious. The vegetarian Sichuan chicken rice fried by chef Franck Xu was good except for the rice which was very dry and not very tasty. For dessert we had a mango soup served with pomelo, and sago pearls which was delicious. With the espressos we had chocolate and fruit paste. We were surprised that we were charged 9.-FCH each for espresso even though on the menu on the web they are included. We found the servers too quick to serve. As soon as the plate was finished he took it away from us. and they stay too close to us listening to our conversations. It is not pleasant. It's even very unpleasant. We are disappointed.
Incredible dining experience
We were staying at the hotel and decided to book this restaurant for an anniversary. It did not disappoint. Brilliant service from the lovely service team, great cocktails from the bar and sensational food from the kitchen. We went all out with the Diamond Menu, which was pretty much a tasting menu. All the food was exceptional, great atmosphere and decor too. We loved it all.
Very, very disappointed!
A disappointing experience. This restaurant, which was THE reference for Chinese gastronomy in Geneva, is today no better than the average decent restaurant where you would pay a quarter or a fifth of the price. In addition, the service is more than average. The servers are not ill willed, but visibly inexperienced. To make their task easier, the emerald menu is now served grouped (3 dishes served at the same time), which is not worthy of a starred restaurant. In short, the taste is rarely there, and the value for money is very disappointing. They won't last long if they don't make a recovery effort as soon as possible.
Extraordinary and impeccable service!
The art of surprising you in each dish with extraordinary creativity and talent. Without a doubt my favorite dish is the Sweet & Sour Ribs.
Whose fault is Michelin or Tsé Fung?
We always expect an exceptional moment when we spend €200 for a single meal and we rely on the Michelin guide to be sure we have chosen the right address. And we don't even look at TripAdvisor (serious mistake this time). One star isn't nothing, we're going to enjoy it, we're booking, can't wait for the big day. We arrive at Tsé Fung Genève at the Reserve, a truly charming and remarkable place. We are well received, the room is classic but comfortable, there are people there so we think it must be good even if the menu does not announce a big surprise. Then the appetizer arrives and flop we already know that we have been deceived by Michelin. Yes by Michelin because the kitchen team does what they know how to do, what they do every day! Michelin gives the rating. So the critic(s) who rated this restaurant certainly have a taste bud problem but also a vision problem! Ordinary plates, zero visual magic. Tasteless products not at all sublimated, just covered with sauce that is either too salty or too sweet. At the local all-you-can-eat buffet for €20 it's the same. Except the wines which were very good, nothing Chinese about it... When I think that Michelin took away a star from La Bouitte this year to keep one at Tsé Fung, which in my opinion does not even deserve a gourmet bib. So who do we trust?
Top Chinese Restaurant in Geneva
It was a great moment for Valentine’s Day, well balanced menu fast and professional service. Meeting with the Chef. The ambiance is quite romantic, tables well spaced. Kudos for the lobster and meat skewers. For true chinese gastronomy do not hesitate to visit
Good food, good waiter but very poor maître d’hôtel
Excellent food but very poor service from the maître d’hôtel while the server Eric was helpful and kind. We asked the maître d’hôtel for a not spicy sweet and sour chicken for my wife. It was not given or explained. We did also ask a question regarding the chef. He could not answer but said he would ask the chef and revert. None. Finally he was not there when we left to ask us about our stay. Not acceptable for such a high quality restaurant.
Exceptional 🦆
30 year’s quality! Amazing Restaurant inside the hotel La Reserve! I always visited the last 30 years and the quality of food is exceptional! We had the Pecking duck crispy and tasty! Don’t miss that restaurant it’s always a great choice!
Doesn't deserve its star at all
A Chinese restaurant barely better than the one in the neighborhood... With very low-end service With too high a price With a pretty room but in the dark Very very disappointed. It made us not even want to go and sleep at the Reserve....
Meal with a friend
Long waiting time before ordering. Forget the glass of wine. Little advice. The Service was not worthy of the standard. Food quality very good but does not justify the price. Cozy and chic atmosphere but the lamp on our table malfunctioned. A mixed experience
The best
Very nice establishment. Very professional staff. The dishes are fine and refined. The prices are a bit exaggerated... To do again.
Great discovery
Very nice discovery for this restaurant but a shame that some dishes and accompaniments are quite bland, without flavor. Very good service

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
