Le V-Four Nancy Reviews from The Last Year
successful Easter
Reservation as a couple for Easter Sunday, total success both in terms of service and gastronomy. Special Easter menu in 5 courses, a treat from starter to dessert. To redo
Perfect
We chose the Tasting menu in several courses: 2 starters, 2 main courses and a trilogy of desserts. Everything was perfect: from the temperature of the food, to the cooking and seasonings. Favorite for the SKREI cod and its curry sauce which was divine. Some guests had chosen the food/wine pairing, they appreciated it. I would add that the service was perfect, fast but not too fast, courteous and professional waiters, which is becoming more and more rare these days. I can only advise you to make the detour to this restaurant which in my opinion is one of the best restaurants in NANCY.
Nothing to do with the previous owners.
Nothing to do with the previous owners. The service and quality of the dishes are no longer exceptional. Really disappointed
Disappointing, too long and too expensive
We had already come for lunch a few weeks ago, menu at €27.50, a somewhat simple starter but nothing else to complain about overall. This time we came for dinner, when we made our reservation the restaurant offered several menus, including one for less than €50. We had requested the newly created back room, access is not easy, we enter the restaurant to go outside before landing in the kitchens and a reception room. The room is quite pretty, the lighting is not always well suited and the finishes are a little sloppy. We look at the menu and discover that the only menu is 6 courses for 85€ otherwise it is a la carte, the waiter tells me that the menu for less than 50€ has been deleted. We decide to make our choice à la carte which offers 3 starters between 14 and 16€, 3 dishes between 24 and 36€ and 3 desserts at 12€. We order our dishes and choose a 2019 Chablis, the bottle presented is from 2020, the starters served are good but very simple and above all very light , as for the dishes nothing to complain about the plumas and the fish on the other hand 36€ for 3 dabs of low temperature veal and a few vegetables it's really exaggerated, it was good but once again too light, the dishes were accompanied by a red wine (from the cellar 10°), as for dessert we had (caramelized apple, Breton shortbread and lemon), apple yes but without shortbread and no acidity from the lemon. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. and left at 11:00 p.m. Balance sheet…. Too expensive, too long and too minimalist. Please note that the map on the site is not up to date. We won't come back.
A magnificent discovery
I was visiting Nancy for the weekend. I had a wonderful dinner at V’Four. The prestige menu was incredibly well done! The high quality products, the well presented dishes and the attentive service, everything was there! Plus a very nice wine list. I will return there during my next visit to Nancy, go there with your eyes closed, I highly recommend!
Still so delicious!
Excellent tasting menu with starters, main courses and split deserts. Tuna tataki with sesame. Foie gras and foie gras emulsion then poultry cooked twice, followed by a medallion of blue beef fillet and finally a farandole of desserts with Mont Blanc, ice cream, macaron, financier and pear-almond. Sweet treats with coffee and a little rum offered by the owners! A very beautiful evening for the taste buds with pleasantly chosen accompaniments and a plating that is flattering for the eyes. I will return with great pleasure 😊
Nancy evening
Pleasant service, attentive staff. Menu at 67 euros. Well served. It's good but without pep... Pleasant small room. A little expensive but good evening.
Excellent gastronomic surprise.
Le V Four was recently taken over by a young chef and his pastry chef partner. The restaurant offers several well-priced menus. The dishes are technically mastered: chicken in two ways, beef fillet, veal and oyster tartare, mont blanc etc.... The service is friendly although a little slow the evening of our visit. But I highly recommend: we will return
Change of owners but not only...
Fairly recent change of owners. Changing the menu is not a problem, on the contrary it allows you to discover new flavors; 3 different menus offered. Unfortunately, when we have known the old V Four we tend to compare. So we found that the quality/price ratio is no longer in sync at all. Very big increase in prices, services a little below what we expected and desserts a little too simple. The wine list remains correct. Review the menu prices a little and it will be much better
It's good but too expensive
The new owners have made a beautiful decor in this rikiki place... small downside the series of paintings by Yoel Benharrouch is too much... especially for repros... but hey... no cocktail menu.. a champagne and whiskey menu... one decent wine list with low prices and wines slightly overpriced even with a coefx3… The serious stuff... it's good and well done, the fresh produce... but way too expensive for a "bistronomic" we're not yet in the gourmet... 2 E/P/D menus plus euros 60 euros per menu, one appetizer ridiculous mouth, two sweet samples with coffee 2 aperitifs 22 euros!! A bottle of white wine, a bottle of water...more than 220 euros...Yeah...the ratio isn't there...We're going to let it live and see how it turns out...I'll come back to the terrace one afternoon in the summer to gauge...

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

My reservation expired but I did not get a credit and I see no way to cancel. How do I the funds back as a credit?

I have a similar question, it seems like when money is refunded it doesnt go immediately what is the process of this since its essentially a debit card and not a credit card
