French-style Japanese
It’s a small restaurant with discreet charm nestled in the Marais. The cuisine is refined, the products are of excellent quality, the service is delicate and attentive. The sobriety of the decor underlines the meticulousness of the preparations. Only small downside: the coats hung near the kitchen take on the smell of fried food.

many food options but too crowded ,no place to seat and people was to busy to help you, maybe at another time of the day is easier to get food in there ,next time maybe
Be the first to ReplyVery disapointed
Does the contents of the plate make a restaurant’s reputation? It seems to me that mastering cooking is not everything. An addition of €130 per person also implies impeccable service and a warm place. Here we only do the plate well. And again Not from start to finish. And after…. We stuff… we put 45 place settings even if space only allows 30. That…. It’s the “Mac D” spirit. At 85 euros, dinner without wine or water is a bit expensive and we don't want to try again. I preferred our friend Dany. Another style.
Be the first to ReplySimply delicious!
This place is just fabulous. A small restaurant with super tasty menu. There were 4 of us for an early dinner and we were really happy with all our choices. From starters to deserts, every dish was well thought, beautiful flavours and combination of flavours, delicious ingredients and spot on presentation. And to top it up, the staff was really friendly, attentive but discreet, and super efficient. This was a gem of a discovery! Would highly recommend this French/Japanese fusion restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyNot worth the price.
Nice environment and service, but the food does not correspond to the price level at all. Nicely presented but not particularly interesting flavors, they lacked edge and finesse.
Be the first to ReplyUnexpected and delightful experience
Really excellent and original food. It is unusual to have something so unexpected. The service was very good the beyond unremarkable I would clearly recommend this to anyone.
Be the first to ReplyLes enfants rouges in the marais: delicious surprise
A wonderful surprise in the Marais A charming restaurant with a Japanese chef and a very French menu reimagined! And a good wine list. The service is attentive and smiling
Be the first to ReplyFinest Japanese cuisine in the heart of Paris
Had a 5 cours dinner w/ all Japanese fish dishes. It’s definitely slow food. The staff will serve you precise but slowly. Dishes are fresh and creative. Taste is of finest quality. Remember to make a reservation! It’s always crowded.
Be the first to ReplyAwful
Unacceptable behavior of staff. One of the vegetarian guests ate only chili peppers, a croquette and a Paris Brest and, contrary to what we were told at the beginning (that she would have paid 75 euros) they made her pay 80 euros!! And the quality of the food was nothing special! Never again!!
Be the first to ReplyIt was not what I expected
The concept is good: French food with Asian fusion. However, the Asian influence was not much perceived. The tables are too close together. The menu is more expensive compared to all the other Michelin Bistros we visited during our trip through France. The food had good dishes as well as the appetizers. The best is a type of fresh fish sashimi. I think that was the star dish. The main dishes included a good one of scallops but another of meat accompanied with a broth that was not so great, very greasy. The normal desserts, the almond cake. And the fig and matcha one wasn't much of a joke. The quality-price ratio is not adequate.

An exquisite meal with friendly, attentive service in an unpretentious environment. Between visits I dream of my last meal at Les Enfants Rouges.
Be the first to ReplyFrench cuisine with a Japanese twist
All the food served at "Les Enfants Rouges" (The Red Children), which takes its name after the nearby market, is delicious. Most of the dishes are typically French cuisine but since it's prepared by a Japanese chef, they often have a small and delicious twist, like a sauce that is insanely good but in which cream has been replaced with some other creative ingredient. The chef occasionally offers some delicious Japanese dish on the menu as well. The room is not that big and nothing fancy but this is great, because it means that every penny you spend is spent on what you eat. At night you have to go for a set menu, so try to come with a big appetite. The chef and his team are all very nice. Do not miss it!
Be the first to ReplyFrench kitchen with Japanese tint
This is just fabulous tiny place to try French kitchen (with a Japanese tint). I can’t call this place cheap, especially on the weekends (we’ve paid 75€ for the entire menu on Sunday), but it deserves the money spent. A great pleasure, and amazing and delicate taste, good overall impression and tasty, unusual and lovely dessert. The place from Michelin guide, which we accidentally came into, deserves it’s high rank
Be the first to ReplyBest meal I had in Paris!
By leaps and bounds, this was my favorite restaurant in Paris! I had spent a few days in Paris and I was starting to crave something different from traditional French cuisine, but I still felt I should have something appropriate for my last night in Paris. Wow! This place did not disappoint. The creativity was amazing. Modern french with a Japanese flair is a pretty good description, but the way certain dishes would go together, was just a symphony of perfected pairing that is so rare in a restaurant. Service was also excellent and the recommended wines paired so well with the dishes, they were on par with recommendations from a professional sommelier. Just wonderful!
Be the first to ReplyOk, but not outstanding
This was our second time at the restaurant and we came away with the same response both times. The restaurant is good - some dishes worked well and some just didn’t work at all. We had the 2 course dinner - appetizer, entree and desert for 75 euro. The staff were lovely. As an example, my husband’s desert was a chestnut mousse and it was delicious. I had a passion fruit pavlova which had very little flavor ( if I closed my eyes I wouldn’t have known what I was eating). My entree was a white fish that was delicately cooked tempura style. The fish was well cooked, the tempura coating looked nice but added little to the taste of the dish and the overall taste was just ok. My husband enjoyed his scallop entree more. Nothing was especially memorable.
Be the first to ReplyAlways a delight
We visited here last fall and our return was once again a delightful, tasty, and enjoyable treat. The food was once again creative and interesting, a mix of Asian French fusion, the service friendly and efficient, and the experience satisfying in all respects. Reservations are an absolute must as the restaurant is completely full within 30 minutes of opening. The chef and entier staff perform iracles to serve the entire restaurant in a timely fashion, and one has to marvel at the smoothness of the entire operation during this period of hyperactivity. We visit France twice a year and this has become one of our don't miss reastaurants. Go, now! You will not be disappointed.

Be the first to ReplyA Fantastic Evening with Friends
Enjoyed a fantastic dinner last night! The food was incredible - interesting mix of dishes, all well prepared. Each of us had a different main course, and everyone was very pleased. The veal was the favorite among the table. Lively atmosphere with attentive service. An evening with friends well spent.

We came for lunch menu (which on the weekend is the same as the dinner menu) and it was more than worth the price. Absolutely delicious, original, and super friendly staff. Will come again!

Exquisitely prepared and served, the food is inventive and delicious. Wish we had made a reservation early in our stay, so we could visit again. Cold asparagas soup with burrata was divine, skirt steak with leeks and mushrooms was perfect. Lychee mousse with granite and grapefruit was the best dessert ever!
Be the first to ReplyI really didn’t want it to end!
We reserved this restaurant from Scotland weeks before we were due to arrive in Paris as we had read some great reviews. We were not disappointed! What an excellent meal, from start to finish, it was superb. The ladies who were serving were just a delight, so efficient, very friendly and actually seemed to really enjoy their job, which came across beautifully. My starter was the lamb terrine- outstanding flavours and textures and my husband had the cold pea soup with burata cheese, he was delighted with it! We both chose to have the turbot which was in a tempura batter, served with some greens in a seaweed sauce, this is probably my favourite fish dish that I have ever had, it was absolute perfection, I really didn’t want it to come to an end!! We ended our meal with the most delicious desserts, I had an apple Chou with crème patisserie and beautiful tiny strands of meringue and my other half had the poached saffron pear, they were both just wonderful. Thank you for such a lovely experience.
Be the first to ReplyDelightful meal
Not only did we have a delightful meal at Les Enfants Rouges, but the staff was extremely accommodating. We had to change the time for our reservation the day before, and then again the day of, and they couldn't have been kinder about it. Our son had also had a skiing accident that resulted in a broken jaw and very limited good options, and again they were able to accommodate us and come up with options for him to enjoy.
Be the first to ReplySeasonal produce
Had the 100 euro tasting menu which was outstanding the use of seasonal ingredients such as white asparagus ect the tuna was the best I’ve had since being at Tokyo fish market
