Incredible experience! My boyfriend and I came here for our
Incredible experience! My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary, and the food selection was amazing. Delicious scallops, divine dessert, every course was impressive. Well worth the money and the service was incredible. Try the cocktails!
Be the first to ReplyDecor and ambiance is romantic and perfect for a date.
Service was a bit slow so don't go hungry. The appetizers were good but nothing mind blowing or memorable. Cold smoked scallops was clean to the taste. The mushroom was buttery but heavy after a while. The food was ok. I got the duck lasagna. The server recommended the smaller portion size which I am glad i did. The lasagna was cheesy and the noodles were thin. The downside was that there wasn't much duck. It felt like I was eating a cheese lasagna. The NY steak as deboned so it was easier to eat. The steak was cooked well and tasty.

Summary: great fine dining experience in midtown Atlanta; great interior; mostly pasta-drive; great cocktails and wine list; variety of good seating (bar, booth, etc.). Based on two visits a year apart (most recent was March 2024). Big fan of this place. Had the pappardelle with wagyu (with some wine by the glass), duck fat washed bourbon, and ice cream sandwich. Pasta was one of the best meals I've had in Atlanta--firm pasta, generous portion of wagyu, buttery but not overly heavy sauce. I may order it again next, although they change their menu. Bourbon cocktail was wonderful--hope that stays permanently. It's not overly complicated--just think of glass of bourbon but enhanced so that the mouthfeel and texture is thick and dessert-like. Serve on a single large rock with a touch of citrus. I like the ice cream sandwich, but I'd like to try the tiramisu next time. Vibe: love the interior--I can't describe that stuff, so just Google it. Good soundtrack too--mostly more refined 80s (Smiths, Cure, Talking Heads) with classic jazz. One thing--this place looks great in both day and night (the windows). One of my favorite nice places in Atlanta, especially since midtown and downtown don't have that many genuinely good options. Service: Nice and helpful with questions. Also, there's no dress code, but it's nice enough place that (for a guy), you'll want either dress pants or "proper" jeans with a dress shirt. Plenty of guys with blazers here too.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful experience for an anniversary dinner at Lyla Lila.
The service was attentive and helpful for each selection, be it food or wine. Pasta was very fresh and tasty (rare these days in restaurants) and perhaps the most surprising delight was the Tiramisu - perhaps the best I have had at a restaurant. Another highlight of the restaurant was the space and view. Atlanta often struggles with spaces that provide a true city experience and Lyla works wonders with its position and design. The busy streets and folks walking around (along with very large windows) helped seal the deal. Seating was open but still private and comfortable for a table for two, hard to find these days as well. I will be back!

Exceptional dinner that is perfect for a special occasion! First I will recommend going to the Georgian Terrace parking garage. It is $20 but no one in my party was successful in finding another available parking garage in the area. This is the only negative I have about the experience. For appetizers, my group split the ciabatta and broccoli & fennel salad. The butter for the ciabatta was so unique and flavorful, and the salad was a nice refreshing bite before getting into the pasta. For entree, everyone in my party got a half portion of the smoked eggplant caramelle. It was by far the best thing we had and I wish I got a full portion. If you are looking to order a pasta dish, you must get this!!!! Perfect in every way. I also got the snapper. Good flavors but the pesto was concentrated in two bites, I wish it was spread over the whole snapper so it could be in every bite. I had a bite of my friend's duck lasagna. It was phenomenal but so rich -- rich in a good way, but I could definitely not finish the whole thing on my own! Another friend got the cappelletti which was also good, the sauce was the stand out. I am not a dessert person, but they wanted to order some, and I am so glad we did because the dessert was to die for!!!!! We did the chocolate orange mousse cake which was so flavorful, perfect caramel, and then the ice cream sandwich which was out of this world. I am not normally a sweets person but I think it was even better than the caramelle! Overall definitely worth the trip!

.. that cacio e pepe ravioli was DELICIOUS! I didn't really look at the menu prior to meeting a girlfriend here for an early dinner, but I love homemade pasta so I was down. When I first looked at the men, part of me wasn't completely sold on some dishes for one because I despise mushrooms. But wow I'm glad I went with this classic. The drink was just okay to me, it was the restaurants version of a margarita. Overall the ambience was great, servers were attentive, and I will be back for more cacio e pepe!
Be the first to ReplyWe had a party of 2 for dinner at 8 pm on Wednesday, 3/6/24.
We were able to get a reservation the week before, probably because it was the middle of the week, but they were still packed! Paid street parking and other parking garages and lots nearby. Mike D. was our waiter and he was great, along with everyone else who took care of us! We ordered way too much food, but we wanted to try a lot, and we got to take leftovers home. You can get half orders of the pastas, which is a game changer! We got to try more that way. no Here's what we got: - Rosemary Ciabatta Bread ($7): OMGGGG. The molasses-smoked salt butter was divine. It was reminiscent of an Auntie Anne's pretzel in the best way. - Crispy Artichokes ($22): This was the only thing we were both unimpressed with. Didn't feel like there was anything special about it and wouldn't get it again. - Cold Smoked Scallops ($28): Wowow. Super good and unique. Presentation was also cool with the dome of smoke. - Crispy Duck Lasagna (half order, $22): Good! Glad we got a half order because the full one would've been a lot! The carrot-coriander purรฉe was also unexpectedly very good!! At other restaurants, it might've been a thoughtless garnish, but the carrot really freshened up the dish. - Capeletti Ravioli (half order, $23): Very good! - Wagyu Beef and Black Truffle Ravioli (half order, $25): Good, not as heavy as I was expecting. We wish it had been more truffle-forward. But the beef was very tasty! - NY Strip Steak ($65): Good! My picture doesn't do it justice. The potatoes and broccoli were good too. - Wood Grilled Mushrooms ($19): This was amaaaaazing. We got our truffle-forwardness and then some here. Soo good! For dessert, we got Tiramisu ($12) and Chocolate Mousse Cake ($12). Both were delicious! The Tiramisu was huuuge! The espresso ($3.50) was also good! For drinks, I got Atomic Bomb ($17) and Monks Repose ($16). They were good! They gave us free champagne because we were celebrating my husband's birthday and that was also very good. We had a wonderful experience here and would definitely be back to try more!
Be the first to ReplyFantastic service and food.
The crispy artichokes are a must have! I especially liked that they offered smaller portions of pasta.
Be the first to Replylove love love lyla lila.
our server was so funny chill. she was perfect for our girls night dinner. we ordered a bunch of stuff and split it. the favorite 2 dishes were definitely the crispy artichokes (dont underestimate these) and the herb & spiced pappardelle with wagyu beef cheek. we also got the ice cream sandwich for dessert but honestly all the desserts looked so good. will deff be back!
Be the first to ReplyI have to admit, because it's in midtown I was skeptical.
There's a lot of hype restaurants in that area and I was scared I was about to blow a check on something we could have made at home... boy was I wrong. Absolutely exceptional restaurant. The food was remarkable, everything we tasted had very rich and deep flavor profiles. We started with the broccoli and fennel salad and it was so wonderfully simple and delicious. Then we got half portions of the duck lasagna and wagyu beef ravioli, which was more than enough to fill us up. My fiancรฉ preferred the duck lasagna but honestly the wagyu beef ravioli was the star to me. I'm sure anything on this menu is enough to write home about. Also, as if that wasn't enough to sell us, our server was easily one of the kindest and most fun servers I've ever had. I left feeling like we got wined and dined by a friend. Living in this city, yall know how much of a treat that is.
Be the first to ReplyMy new favorite Italian restaurant in Atlanta.
It lived up to all the hype and was well worth the price. The food was incredible and full of flavor. Service and ambiance were also exceptional. The lasagna still lives rent free in my dreams...
Be the first to ReplyDelicious creative food in a beautiful restaurant.
We ate dinner at the bar and enjoyed a couple craft cocktails and then wine. A lovely evening.

Such a good vibe. Hospitality is top notch. Everyone is genuinely happy to see you.
Be the first to ReplyHad dinner at here, when you walk in through the curtain
Had dinner at here, when you walk in through the curtain you will find an elegant restaurant with the bar to the left and dining room tables to the right. The restaurant looks very nice both from the outside and in. Our server greeted us quickly and took our drink and appetizer order after helping walk us through the menu. We started with the Bread n butter, the tartare and broccoli salad. Like most restaurants the breast and butter should have been complimentary as it was fine but was also bread! The Tartare and the broccoli salad were both different and tasty with the Broccoli salad being my favorite of the 3. For our mains we had the Cavatelli and duck lasagna. The Cavatelli was good about above average but the duck lasagna was amazing, big portion, different and delicious! For drinks we got the Rittenhouse rye old fashion and the thin white Duke, both drinks were on point. Overall the service was good, the atmosphere inviting. Not having valet is a miss but there is a parking garage across the street. Our server was good but could have been a bit friendlier. I would go back again.
Be the first to ReplyGood looking place with decent service.
Wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this place, but if I was nearby and craved pasta, I'd come here again.
Be the first to ReplyLyla Lila EXCEEDED my expectations.
My girlfriend surprised me with dinner here for my birthday, and we were both blown away. We both love Italian food, so this place was perfect.I highly suggest you make a reservation for this place. I think they might do walk-ins, but I'm not too entirely sure. We went on my actual birthday, 2/8, but my girlfriend made the reservation around the second or third week of January. The food was incredible and the drinks were great, so it only makes sense that this place is always so booked up. We both started with a cocktail each and then moved on to appetizers and then ordered a bottle of wine, followed by two entrรฉes, and then dessert with a glass of champagne. We shared everything, we always share whenever we go out to eat. I will list out what we got to eat/drink here:Drinks: Sure as Spring and Monk's Repose. I can't remember the wine bottle we got unfortunately.Appetizer: Rosemary Ciabatta, Broccoli & Fennel Salad, and the Tuna CrudoEntrรฉes: Tajarin Egg Yolk Pasta & Cacio e Pepe Agnolotti RavioliChampagne: I can't remember which champagne we got unfortunatelyDessert: Lemon CheesecakeAll the food was absolutely incredible. Nothing disappointed. A good thing to know about the pasta dishes, is that for most of them, you can get a half portion so it's easier to share. For some you aren't allowed to get a half portion though, like the Tajarin pasta we got, we had to get a full portion. The tuna crudo was some of the best tuna crudo I have ever had, so I highly suggest you try it out. The salad was so flavorful and had a nice bite to it. They also have other types of main courses as well, not just pasta, so there's something on this menu for everyone. The drinks we had were pretty good as well. Albeit, they were quite strong, but not unbearable. For the wine bottle we got, we told the server what we both liked, and she passed it on to a sommelier at the bar who came to the table and provided us some incredible service and a great recommendation. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is celebrating a special occasion or just is in the mood for a really fancy dinner. The service was incredible and the food was even better. I would definitely come back here again. Side note, our server's name was Caryn Johnson, and she was EXCELLENT. Consider yourself lucky if she's your server.

Everything that we ate was delicious, but my favorite was the tuna crudo! It was amazing! We also had the rosemary ciabatta, cacio e pepe ravioli and the ice cream sandwich. I can't wait to go back to try some other items on the menu!
Be the first to ReplyBeen wanting to try this restaurant for awhile now and it
Been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile now and it did not disappoint. Delicious food and service. A must are the tuna crudo and the grilled mushrooms with black truffle aioli. Amazing! We also devoured the Wagyu beef ravioli, the beef cheek with scallops, and the pork rack. Quite frankly, I wanted everything on the menu sigh...this means, I've hit yo to back soon. Rsvp is a must and for prime diner times so plan ahead. Enjoy!
Be the first to ReplyGood grief.
I had such high expectations after reading the great reviews. We had several appetizers and main courses for our group. The bread (which cost $7.00) is so salty I could not eat it. We had tuna as one of our three appetizers. Small portions. Expensive. One person in our group ordered a steak. She could barely eat it because of all of the salt. The duck lasagna which everyone raves about was mediocre at best - not a lot of flavor. After hearing how wonderful this place is from all the reviews, I made a reservation a couple of months in advance only to be disappointed. On a positive note, the ambience is nice. The server was nice. The hostess and manager were arrogant and for no reason. We did not complain about the food to our server. No need to. Don't waste your money on this place. The food I cook at home is far better than anything I tasted at this place. Oh- Parking is very expensive especially if there is a show at the fox. So disappointed in what I expected to be an amazing experience.
Be the first to ReplyI can't describe how delicious this meal has been.
From appetizer to dessert, cocktails, wine, and service at Lyla Lila was phenomenal. The cocktails started off the dinner in a strong manner. We tried the fat-washed riff on an old fashioned, and it was smooth and delicious. The appetizers were a great start, but I thought the pasta course was delicious! We tried several dishes and finished with tiramisu. The wine by the glass options were exceptional and the waitress was helpful in choosing. I can't wait to return.

Food was excellent! We did not have a reservation so we sat at the bar. Wanted a bite to eat before a show at the Fox. All staff was friendly and accommodating. Loved the choices we made. A few apps but was enough. Atmosphere was a little dim for us old folks but was hip and trendy. Would go back again when in Atlanta

I have been to Lyla Lila many times and every time is better than the last. Tonight we enjoyed cocktails, wine, and dinner in the bar area and Ellen took such great care of us. We started with cocktails. Ellen recommended a new seasonal "Negroni"-ish gin cocktail with apple cider that was refreshing and so delicious. We then enjoyed crudo, cold smoked scallops, artichokes, and squid ink pasta for dinner all incredibly amazing. The ambiance and service from Ellen made our night tonight. Always and forever a favorite of ours in Atlanta!
Be the first to ReplyLyla Lila is a fantastic experience.
This restaurant is a gem from the outstanding wine and cocktail program to the exquisite pasta selections. Ask for recommendations from the congenial and knowledgeable servers (Ellen is the best). Enjoy the soothing decor, and the cocktails made by Garry (so luscious).Don't miss out on the ravioli with short ribs, cavatelli with pork cheek and lobster, or duck lasagna.
Be the first to ReplyLyla Lila is delicious.
I have absolutely zero qualms with the food. Truly, apps pastas entrees all 5 stars The service was worse than bad. I left my anniversary dinner feeling like what should've been a nice evening with chill vibes was turned into one of the most awkward dinners I've ever had. I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say our server was having a bad night. It happens. Now...I was a bartender for 10 years and worked in a fine dining restaurant most of those. So I get it. I truly do! But respectfully, she should probably not be a server. I read on the first page of the bar menu, that questions were not only welcome but encouraged. Turns out, nah. On a good note--The food was great. We got the bread with pine chili butter. tuna crudo- which was AMAZING, spicy pork ragu, truffled wagyu beef ravioli, sweet potato mezzaluna, and wood mushroom side. So that's that. If you wanted to know about the food that's it- you can stop reading. If you are curious as to why it was the worst service I've had in years, please continue. The menu blurb about welcoming conversation and questions HAHAHA....No. Don't ask questions. Unless you wish to be condescended to. I mentioned I ordered the Monks Repose last visit and loved it but it was a touch on the sweet side so I was going to order a different one but she steered me towards a bizarre oil slicked gin cocktail with citrus. "A play on a martini" It came with lemon peel and an olive. Whew. It was...bad. I didn't send it back, but ordered a dirty martini.I asked if they had blue cheese olives. She *bored shrugs and says "sure""You do?"Same bored shrug "Sure" OKAY...Awesome, thanks. Maybe she's going for a cool casual can't be bothered attitude. Not how I'd approach any table expecting exceptional service but hey, maybe it'll grow on me. SPOILER ALERT/ it did not. I then slid the first cocktail - still full - forward and said you can take this one. she goes "do you not like it?" You mean this full untouched cocktail I'm asking you to take with you? Yeah, clearly I loved it. I said, "no. Sorry.""May I ask what specifically you didn't like about it?"I then started to explain that while it was different it just tasted like citrus oil and gin she interrupts me and goes "oh so you just like dirty martinis" woah lady! ........uhm. No, Pamela. I like all sorts of cocktails actually. It's not personal?I kind of nervously laughed like she wasn't being condescending and rude and she walked away. At this point I was scanning my memory to recall if I ever worked with her or fired her or something that would make this make sense. Whew. Y'all buckle up because this is just the beginning. So the next cocktail comes out. The liquid is pretty clear. I can already tell I'll want it dirtier but it was a random server that dropped them quickly and walked away. No worries, I tasted it anyway- def needed olive juice...BUT it was cold and olives were good so I sipped while I waited for her to come back. I asked her for a side of olive juice and she goes "is there not enough olive juice?" Alright Professor. I MEAN, why would I ask for some more if there was?!?!I responded "yeah I don't think there is any in it actually" she leans over my glass and retorts "Well I can see the olive juice oils in the glass"AM I BEING PUNK'ED?! I've never in my life had a more combative server. I said "okay no worries, I just need some more then"She then huffs and snatched the glass up from the table and snaps "I'll just have them make a whole new one for you"I was puzzled and was like "uhhh no, it's okay I just need a side of olive juice" She goes "Well you just LOOK mad."I was like. "Uhhhh. What?!""You just look really mad"At this point I'm in shock and my husband and I make eye contact and are both puzzled because I have been nothing but friendly and polite AND I have the opposite of resting bitch face. I was so taken aback I didn't insist on asking for a manager...thinking back on the experience. I definitely should have. "Im not mad? You don't need them to make a whole new cocktail i just want some more olive juice?"She insisted that I looked very mad. At this point, honestly, I was more afronted than mad. I felt like I was being harassed for simply asking for very small things at my anniversary dinner. I was wide eyed and didn't know what she wanted me to say and then she rambled about a busy kitchen and issues with running out of items or something and leaves and we sat there in silence.I mean, shit happens. But someone higher up should've been told that things were taking a deep diveNot a single manager touched the table. No one asked how the meal was going. No one asked if we were enjoying our experience. I wish they had. Because I probably wouldn't have written this review. Overall 4/5 for food!!!But service was slow, awkward, aggressive, rude, condescending, combative, and intense. So....maybe don't go here for a special occasion.
Be the first to ReplyI've gotten to a point with Italian restaurants where I
I've gotten to a point with Italian restaurants where I feel that I could make the dishes myself and be less disappointed. Thus I go in with lower and lower expectations. Lyla Lila was a pleasant surprise to the Italian/pasta scene. Pastas: first off al, it's not listed on the menu, but you can get appetizer sizes( and pricing) if almost all their pastas. This is a highlight for me as this allows for the opportunity to try multiple dishes without paying for it in price or amount of food. We got the duck lasagna, the waygu ravioli, and the burrata ravioli. The duck lasagna was our least favorite jsut because it felt a bit bland. The waygu and the burrata were delicious. The burrata probably won by a slim margin because it was so light and the lemon with the caviar was amazing. The waygu ravioli was actually stuffed with meat as opposed to morcels of meat. We split the snapper for an entree and omg this was delicious. The butter lemon sauce was decadent without being heavy. The snapper was cooked perfectly and was such a generous portion of fish that was so flaky and tender. The pesto with the bite provided a wonderful complimentary crunch without detracting from the fish. One of the best entrees I've had at a restaurant in a while. I wanted to try the desserts but we were too full! I would definitely come back and i can't wait to try the rest of the pastas! I have my eye on the squid ink spaghetti next.
