The price are getting insane
Probably the best French bakery in Bay Area . But the price of some there pastries are getting ridiculously high. $30 for a piece of cake, a piece.

Visited Maison this morning for coffee with a friend. Ordered an apple tartlet. It was delicious. The coffee was nice and strong. Enjoyed its flavor. My friend ordered a croissant and said that it was delicious. Nice friendly staff and lots of options to choose from. There is outside seating which I appreciated! Will definitely visit this place again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat French pastries
This is a great place to sit down, relax and have some French pastries with coffee. The bakery has a very large selection of pastries. My favorites ones are the Chocolate Croissant, Paris Brest and Pear Amandine Tart. Don't be discouraged if there is a long line; it's definitively worth the wait!
Be the first to ReplyBest French Bakery in the Bay Area
Absolutely the best in the South Bay. I'd say their pastries are better than the famous Tartine in San Francisco. They also have the best quiches, real French ones, light and fluffy. They also have created a great ambience, you are practically transformed to Paris.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Baguette
I love the baguettes which are also one of their best values. Their coffee is good, and the macarons are good too. They're cheaper than Alexander's which is across the street but I found the flavors at Alexander's to be superior. It's very expensive, so I didn't get to try any other baked goods, but the little cakes look delicious!
Be the first to ReplyVery tasty, but unfriendly personnel
My review is mixed. If you’re looking for tasty French pastry, this is the place to be (together with the other French bakery across the street). I had a pain au chocolat and a tarte aux poires this time round and have tried other pastries before - always delicious. However, prices are high (but not atypical for nice baking goods in this area) and personnel is not very friendly. During this visit I noticed after having paid that they had charged me more than the displayed price. When I pointed this out to the lady behind the counter she just told me that she would update the displayed price some time, instead of correcting my bill! Pretty unprofessional in my opinion...

Teleportation is possible, just immerse yourself in the world of culinary magic and you will immediately discover places you have always dreamed of visiting.
Yes, the preparation of the food, its presentation, taste, and atmosphere create the culinary magic that very often makes us call it the eighth art. Don't be afraid to try, be discoverers, let your senses guide you through the richness of spices and human creativity.
We made such a surprise visit to France with my wife last Saturday, having breakfast at Maison Alyzee - Mountain View, California.
The moment we walked into this cozy French pastry shop and bakery, our faces grinned and our eyes already wished they could taste all the baked goods out there.
Everything we ordered, omelets, croissants, and apple tarts were prepared and served in the best French tradition.
Each bite of the apple tart will give you a sense of autumn-rich autumn, tinged with apple sweetness and velvety touch of butter, and when combined with a sip of soft aromatic cappuccino, you simply move on to another dimension of sensitivity.
Our breakfast at Maison Alyzee was a pleasant surprise and a complete joy for the senses.
Too pricey
Was there and good was good however it’s too expensive or in other words over the top for what you get. Plus staff has an attitude! Liked the food but won’t go back cause not worth the money!
Be the first to ReplyTres chic but have the money of a Sheik
The goods are made with quality ingredients but the prices are high and the amount of food on the plate skimpy. There were 4 small pieces of salmon on the Nordique, not worth $15.00. The latte was delicious but again $5 is pretty high end. The ham and cheese sandwich was tasty and nicely prepared. The service was inefficient. We waited over 15 minutes for our food then only 1 entree arrived. The companion asked about it inside and was told it would be out shortly. We think they forgot it. Then more time elapsed and a waiter returned to the table to say it would be out shortly, which turned out to be 7 more minutes. No compensation monetarily or complimentary baked good as an apology. Would not return due to service and high prices.

#1 French Bakery Bay Area
LOVE LOVE LOVE this authentic French Patisserie + Bakery. My husband is French and we are both very pickup with bread. We had not found any bakeries that can make close to what we had in France in Bay Area until we discovered Maison Alysee. We were surprised how authentic the bakery goods are. You can tell the owner only selects high quality organic ingredients and not trying to save cost by getting volume pack milk, juice or flour from Costco.
The price is 3.5x than France, but when you compare to other food we have at Bay Area. Thai dishes are 10x more than Thailand, Bubble tea are 5x more than Taiwan, houses are 100x more than most places in US, the list goes on. I don't mind paying more for higher quality and delicious food
Highly recommend this place for both their patisserie and bakery goods, much more authentic than Alexander across the street. Their fresh baguette, pain raisin and almond croissant have become our regular favorite. Fresh baguettes comes out 3 times a day (7am, 11am, 2:30pm). And their patisserie are to drool for!
Dessert after dinner
Coffee chocolate tart uses real vanilla bean syrup and the macaroons are the best I ever tasted!! Customer service with a smile and very comfortable atmosphere.
Definitely a place to visit here in Mountain View on Castro street!!!!
