Pretty average
Really average. Ordered a double chicken burger for about $26 which was dry, had barely any chicken, not much else in it either and was just not that tasty. My partner got the chicken and waffles ($36) which according to her were sickeningly sweet and the chicken is too chewy. The value for money here is non existent. However the milkshakes were cool, and while $17 for a shake is a bit of a stretch I would say that it is the only thing here worth getting. In terms of service it was fine I have nothing to say about the staff or the physical location. I would not recommend this place, even Maccas is a far superior option
Be the first to ReplyA place to avoid
Food was the worst experienced in years. Chicken dry, perhaps cooked days ago. Expensive. Nothing to recommend it. Had to order on app. Not easy for eight people. No one greeted us. Hate the thought of people wasting money at this establishment like we did
Be the first to ReplyJust don’t!
Ohhhhh no no no!!! Not sure when this restaurant moved to a transactional based service, or even if human centric was even a function, but the art of customer service is long gone here. A QR code is on the table, limited menu, even less choice for drinks. Wine menu is reminiscent of 90’s England….. “Red or white darling?” Villa Maria the only choice over four varietals. They have cocktails tho….. but charge $17 for fizzy water and a vodka shot, in the modern age, commonly known as vodka soda. Cant be ordered through their ‘No service operational model. QR code’ but by walking up to one of the two waitress and ordering. To be told by one, we don’t do that. While the second one manually pushed it through for the grand price of $17. I guess first world problems right here. But!!!!! When you pay $34 for chicken and waffles and another $34 for a chicken poe boy, come on…. Zero service, all self selection. Food average to poor. Paying $100+ for food, one beer and a water and spirit. This is absolutely shocking. Never, never, going back!!!!! Across the road is panhead. Fantastic squid meal. Kicking myself that I didn’t go back there. Arghhhhhhh (insert head explode emoji)
Be the first to ReplyHuge meals, good food
We dined here as a family of 5 on our recent trip to Wellington. Meals were huge, we could have got away with half as much food as we ordered for dinner. Food was delicious - service was relatively average...polite but not particularly attentive.
Be the first to ReplyNot so great, fake birthday deals
They heavily advertise their "free birthday meal" offer. Howvever I have been this place thrice now and everytime I go I encounter the rude owner who sits at the cash register. She will always make sure that you do not get a free meal even though it was advertised and confirmed with the staff. She makes you follow a procedure to get that free meal such as order only specific dishes, say the password (but always make sure you say it before she bills it) or else not only can you forget about the free meal but also she will scream at you. The staff is decent. The menu has a very limited option for vegetarians, so If you prefer vegetarian I recon you go somewhere else. The food even though looks enticing on their ads, is not great, I would prefer a Macca's burger over it anyday.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service, impeccable manners
Torin looked after us in a very welcoming and professional manner. Nothing was too hard and he gave us different options for everything. Mama Brown was a lovely place to lunch with family and friends
Be the first to ReplyFine dining at its best
Fine dining in the capital. Have been to a few michelin star restaurants while traveling but yet to top this little establishment. Fine dining at its best.
Be the first to ReplyWorst service and front of house attitude!!
Worst way of front house customer service! Blonde woman standing behind cash register first ignored me when askimg for assistance then when she eventually gave me the time of day to ask for 4 seats she said well there is no space when someone leaves you can sit. Looking around there was a table with 5 chairs open. Then a crowd of about 15 people got up and left and the blonde woman ignored the fact of all leaving and did not even make the effort to ask if we wNt a table!!!! So we left!!!!! Will not recommend this establishment ever!!!
Be the first to ReplyCool quirky restaurant
Quirky restaurant with yummy food.. visited with 3 friends, I had the chicken and halloumi burger with fries and a sprite. Was yum but expensive. Burger doesn’t come with fries they are extra. Friends all had dirty shakes and loved them. I sat on an old aeroplane seat. Staff were friendly and food came out fast. Would visit again Thankyou
Be the first to ReplyGood American style food
We had burgers one day which were good but $$ and then came back for the excellent desserts the next day.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing 🤩
Amazing food, our waiter offered an amazing alternative to the meal that we wanted but had thing we could eat. Food was fast and came out hot and at the same time. Very accommodating to the fact we had a pram and placed us at a table where we were not in anyones way. We will be back
