I absolutely love that place.
it is a very small and intimate space probably only about 15 seats. Even though the menu is not too extensive, the food quality is amazing and the Korean chef is very nice and professional. if you like authentic Korean food I highly recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyI loved this place.
I was very hungry, and even though the portions appear small, they are very satisfying. The charcoal coconut ice cream was very delicious as well. Definitely recommend.
Be the first to ReplyMaybe I have higher expectation for Michelin star
Maybe I have higher expectation for Michelin star restaurant and maybe I was expecting more from a place that features mandoo (dumpling) as it's core meal where they charge you about 1-2 euro per mandoo but the food, selection of drinks and everything about this place was average. The chef acts like he's too cool for you and the waiters do not cater to any of your needs as if this is 5 star establishment. If you never had Korean food then you may like this place as an entry point to Korean food but it lacks authenticity and missed the creativity of mandoo. It only has one type of mandoo which is just steamed and the stuffing inside had nothing special or anything to rave about. I'm disappointed because i went with a hype of this place being rated so high. This place does not deserve anything higher than 2 or 3. I'm giving it 3 because at least their desserts had homemade ice cream which was their most creative flavor. If you are French who is uneducated about Korean food then this is a fine place but if you are more educated then save your money and go to a more established Michelin award.restaurants.
Be the first to ReplyReally a fantastic place.
It's a small, one-room restaurant. The menu is comprised primarily of dumplings and various meats tartare. The ice cream is unique and adds a special touch to the end of the meal. Reservations are a good idea, and large parties (more than 3-4) would probably be impossible to seat. The food is reasonably priced for Paris. The service is outstanding! All together, the experience merits this restaurant's place on Michelin's Bib Gourmand.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a gem! Our third visit to Paris and our 2nd visit here
What a gem! Our third visit to Paris and our 2nd visit here and do yourself a favor and GO there now! Fresh, delicious, authentic and a stones throw from Idol hotel. The tartare is beyond words, and the new Mullet tartare is mind blowing! The Asian peppers they so kindly serve alongside your meal is a culinary taste explosion! Service is spot on, and the simple menu deserves recognition. I may have seen a Michelin starRun. Don't walk. Rethink what Paris food means to you and make a reservation! Don't miss the salad!
Be the first to ReplyMIAM MIAM!!This place is so hip.
I called around 3 pm to make reservations for 8:30 pm on a Friday night and he was nice enough to squeeze me in. They speak French, English, and Korean here which is a plus! First off, the interior of this place is so zen. It is extremely clean and the open kitchen concept is so cool. The menu is small but everything is delicious. They have four types of ravioli/mandoos (meat, bead, kimchi tofu, veggie tofu), two types of tartare (salmon and beef), and a few sides like rice, salad, and soup. The raviolis are steamed and so fresh. You can order them at 8, 10, or 12 pieces. We tried 8 mixed meat, 8 bulgogi beef, and 16 kimchi tofus. The kimchi tofu was definitely our favorite. They come with a soy sauce and sesame oil dipping sauce that compliments the raviolis perfectly. We could have easily ordered more because they are so yummy! The presentation is also beautiful. The food is truly made with care by a team of four really cool people in the open kitchen. My boyfriend tried the beef tartare which came with a Korean kick of soy sauce and sesame seeds for 9€. The portion was small but the meat was truly quality. We also ordered the Korean salad which was prepared fresh in front of us.For dessert they have three different types of ice cream. We tried the coconut sesame seed one and it was the best ice cream I have tried in my life. With a bottle of Korean beer, our order came out to be 59€ for dinner. I would definitely come back here and recommend my friends to give this place a try to. Everything was perfect from start to finish. They also offer take out and the packaging is of course, perfect too!
