Come for the food first, the view is just an added bonus.

Manhatta is located on the 60th floor and the view is gorgeous. We came for dinner so we were able to see the sunset. We opted in for the 4 course and it was delicious. It makes you crave for more. The waiters were all super attentive and informative.
The view is spectacular.
The food was even better. But, more importantly, the service was terrific. One of the best dining experiences ever. Bravo!!
overall lovely experience.
felt upscale. check-in in the lobby and take the elevator up to the 60th floor where a beautiful view awaits. nice cocktail, beer, and wine selections. get the hamachi appetizer. skip the kohlrabi appetizer. very nice trout dish with hollandaise sauce. i had the burger. it was good but not out of this world. purple chips were delicious. seems like a very nice date spot.

If you're looking for a spot to dine with a beautiful skyline, this is your spot. Food and service is fantastic. They have creative drinks to go along with their amazing dishes.

It was definitely loud, but the view and lighting was amazing and the overall vibe was really nice. The waiters were polite and swift and the food was brought pretty quickly, actually. The third course did take some time to come, but it was worth it because it was all delicious and made well, some foods being more simple while others were like art piece. The only problem I had was that the foods seemed a bit overwhelming at times, it was also pretty pricy, but really nice location with a view of the bridge and city.

They have a cool concept for the cocktails, but the cocktails themselves are just ok. They leave you with something to be desired. The views are killer though and the vibe is very good. Very luxurious finishes, modern artwork in the hallways. The staff is not the most professional, the bartenders felt a bit lazy (saw them make a lot of mistakes and just kept making the drinks, o well). You're paying your bar tab here pretty much to get a view of the NYC skyline -- I guess they know that too.
Manhatta is a true gem in the heart of New York City.
Situated on the 60th floor of a skyscraper in the Financial District, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the city skyline that are unmatched. The ambiance is elegant and sophisticated, making it the perfect setting for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience. The food at Manhatta is equally impressive. The menu features a modern take on classic American cuisine, with a focus on seasonal ingredients and bold flavors. Each dish is beautifully presented and expertly crafted, showcasing the chef's attention to detail and culinary expertise. One of the standout dishes for me was the Duck Breast, which was perfectly cooked and served with a flavorful cherry sauce. The combination of flavors was exquisite, and the dish was a true testament to the chef's skill. The service at Manhatta is also top-notch. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience. Overall, Manhatta is a must-visit for anyone looking for a truly special dining experience in New York City. The food, service, and ambiance are all exceptional, and I can't wait to return.

Second time I've been for lunch/brunch, and it's now one of my favorite spots near us! The cocktail/wine selection is fantastic, and their zero proof options are so fun as well - a good variety of NA beer, wine, and cocktails. Food itself is really fantastic - on weekends they offer a ~$65 prix fixe menu with a ton of delicious options. I get the kohlrabi and grapefruit salad, the burger (which is IMO one of the best in the city), and the key lime pie. It's a generous amount of food and we've always left stuffed. The service is always so accommodating. Everything from drink recommendations to surprising ways the staff has acknowledged special occasions shows an attention to detail and to the diners that a lot of other restaurants don't have. Last but certainly not least is the view - you're on the 60th floor and the sights are incredible. Overall, would recommend their lunch service to anyone!
When Manhatta opened on the 60th floor of a downtown office
When Manhatta opened on the 60th floor of a downtown office building, I was instantly intrigued. Though it took me years to get there, I was thrilled to check it out for drinks and appetizers with colleagues. We were unable to get someone on the phone to make a reservation, so we just tried showing up and were lucky to get a small, high-top table to stand at next to the bar. The place was packed with a happy hour crowd, so even though we had to stand, I was glad we had a space to park. For my first drink, I opted for the Pollen Oats, which included fennel pollen, Wild Turkey 101, Aperol, cherry, honey, ginger, and kombucha. While it was enjoyable, I had asked the server about just how much honey was in the drink, and he had said it was not very noticeable. However, that was sadly not the case, and I really am not a fan of honey. Oh well! That just meant that I had to try a second drink, and I selected the Brooklyn. The cocktail was no joke...The potent blend of cherry blossom, Ragtime Rye, Amaro, Maraschino, Sakura Vermouth, cherry bark, and vanilla was like a sweeter Manhattan that surely packed a punch! I really liked the drink, but it was a struggle not to feel overwhelmed by its strength. Thankfully, we ordered a few food items to absorb some of the alcohol. The Everything Pretzels were very doughy. They looked more like a pull-apart, flower-shaped bundle of mini-rolls than a large pretzel, though it certainly tasted like one. It was served with a creamy and zesty mustard cream cheese. We also had the Selection of Cheeses, which was a variety of soft and hard wedges, accompanied by jams and fig toast. The platter was expertly assembled. My experience at Manhatta might have been brief and not overly comfortable, but the food and drinks were very interesting. I really would love to return to the restaurant for a full dinner meal.
Absolutely worth a visit!
This was a wonderful experience to get dressed up for a date night. The views are breathtaking, service was excellent and made it feel like a special experience. The cocktails were top notch and the food was eclectic and mouth watering. We each chose the four course option and tried a variety of dishes. The espresso martini has a unique flavor to it that was delightful (coming from a person who orders them constantly)! Loved the blue crab, hamachi, dumplings, and scallop. Thank you to the staff for making us feel valued - wonderful evening.
Is there a better “special occasion” restaurant for a visitor to NY?… I suspect not!
We chose Manhatta to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and what a great decision that was. We were well looked after by Shannon, and the whole team seemed to know we were celebrating! The food easily matched the view, which even on a wet and windy night was spectacular. The cocktails were unusual and as good as any we’ve had. Of course it’s not the cheapest night you’ll ever have. But you’ll pay the best part of $100 to get the view alone elsewhere. Can’t recommend enough.
Jaw dropping view, amazing service, great food
Manhatta is located on the 60th floor of a high rise in the Financial District (on LIberty St), and the view is simply jaw dropping. Brooklyn Bridge from above, at sunset, was an amazing sight. However, the restaurant does not made the mistake of offering mediocre food and service just because the location is amazing. We were very pleasantly surprised about the attentive service staff who chatted casually with the guests, and put a lot of focus in providing excellent hospitality. Food came as a 4-course menu - you create your own menu based on a selection of starters, mains, and desserts catering to different tastes and dietary choices. All courses were excellent! A final kitchen greeting were tiny profiteroles filled with banana cream that we really loved - when telling service, they came back with a box of even more profiteroles to take home. What a lovely gesture! Manhatta is clearly recommended, not just for the views, but also for very good food and amazing service.
Disappointed with being conned
I haven’t ventured into the city centre for many years but went with friends for a post 60th bday celebration. I feel conned and extremely disappointed with being charged for a double drink when I did not ask for one. More importantly I was driving and wasn’t aware I had been given a double until I tasted it and then went back to query this & the price which I knew was a lot at the time of being served but did not query it as I just assumed being a Saturday evening and City centre that this was the price. The Barman should be ashamed of himself. I could have lost my driving license had I not be so sensitive to the taste and this clearly a way to get even more money out of guests.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I posted a request for a reservation this Thursday between 6:30 and 8 pm and initially the potential seller said it would be fulfilled by today. Now they changed it that they will only fulfill it by 5pm that same day. Basically I would have an hour and a half to get to the restaurant. Is this allowed?

This app is a catfish and overrun by people programming “bots” and algorithms. It makes it frustrating for someone not well versed in this to have any movement. I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion. Also don’t pay these fake “gurus” hundreds of dollars to teach you. Might as well sign up for a software class. 😕
