Disappointed
Buzzy and vibrant but chaotic! The drinks service was especially poor. Food was fine but didn't feel very special in all honesty.
Timing
Dinner booked for 7.45pm, extremely busy frantic restaurant, staff were pleasant. But 40 minutes to get a cocktail? We had our starters by then. Not impressed
Incredible pasta and focaccia
I had a stellar dinner at the counter at Manteca. The service was friendly and casual, exactly what I was looking for on a solo dinner while traveling for work. The fresh focaccia is incredible, light, chewy, savory, and doused in a light olive oil that was so delicious that I asked for extra. I got the spring pea salad that had a tasty cream dressing a lots of fresh spring peas. The pappardelle was the star of the show, perfectly cooked with just a little chewiness and a savory, flavorful sauce that was still light enough not to overpower the handmade pasta. Manteca is a new favorite for me in London and I hope to visit again!
Italian small plates - sublime.
This has to be one of my favourite restaurants in London, we celebrated my daughters 21st Birthday here and everything hit the spot. The service was attentive but not intrusive, and really friendly, the food in short, was delicious, we had a mixture of dishes, think Italian Tapas all of which were sublime, we had grilled fish cooked over hot coals, and also a grilled steak dish, i honestly cannot fault any aspect of it, and its reasonable considering the quality of food and location. recommended 100%
Amazing food
Amazing food! So glad we got a booking, a place not to be missed in London! The staff were quick and attentive, we will be back next time in Europe!
Pleas use less salt
Everything I ate at this restaurant was too salty for my taste. Please use less salt while cooking and leave salt and pepper on the table. I wanted to eat the 'green pasta' I saw on social media so I asked the waiter for it. He said they didn't serve it anymore. I saw other customers eating it as I left. They got our order wrong but replaced it quickly. I probably won't go back there. Such a shame, I would have enjoyed their food if it was not that salty and the staff did the proper job.
Hygiene questionable
Every time I pass by this place, I see the chef and kitchen staff busy. In the mornings, their pavement is wet... whether it rains or not and the water is some sticky dirty liquid. Well guess what, one day I saw one of the kitchen staff on pavement throwing out water and cleaning the pavement wearing the same gear he has inside the kitchen restaurant. That's filthy. Cleaning standards and hygiene are important, I don't want a kitchen member cleaning the dirty pavement outside and then going back in to cook my food. So that's one place off my list for eating. Also food left outside during prep... That's the problem with open kitchens, we get to see all the mistakes. :-o
Pretty Good!
Manteca is a lively, busy place serving up modern twists on italian food, all delivered in the 'small/large plates' format. The food is pretty good, and very nice wine by the carafe. Efficient and friendly service from our waitress. Prices not too extortionate by London standards.
Appalling Service
The food at Manteca is average, but the service is appalling. I had the displeasure of visiting the restaurant yesterday evening and found the majority of staff to be disrespectful, inattentive and plain rude to both me and my wife. In particular, a staff member with red/pink hair was particularly rude when I simply asked where the toilet was in the restaurant. I thought their behaviour was disgraceful.
Fabulous food
Look, we could do without the noisy crowds and the pumping music and the tables are very close together. But the truth is that the food is so amazing that we keep coming back. They also handle my gluten allergy perfectly and the service is great. We had all our old favourites including the mussels and the pork chop with pink fir potatoes with salami crumb and they were delicious. We will return, inspite of the noise!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
