Extremely disappointing experience.
They started the tasting menu with 4 sweet dishes and it completely ruined my palate. Most expensive restaurant I went thru for a mediocre experience. I went to two other Michelin Star restaurants and they were great (Adrian Quetlas and Quadrat). Michelin star was given on 2002 - the chef was not even present during our tasting menu. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Marc Fosh was my first time doing a tasting menu like this and I was completely blown away by the experience. We had a larger party that they were able to accommodate on a fairly short notice. We also had a bit of an eclectic group and I'd never traveled with one of the couples. One of the men sitting near me made a bunch of unnecessary comments and stupid jokes to our server and she handled him with more professionalism and grace than I would have. The courses were mostly phenomenal. There were a few I probably wouldn't go back for seconds but what do you expect when you serve "eel ice cream". Loved it and highly recommend the experience to anyone in Palma.

Having a meal at a Michelin Star restaurant is a rare experience and Marc Fosh sets a standard that you cannot forget. The flavors are a fascinating and an unexpected mix that are complimented by colors and presentation that I personally have not experienced anywhere else. The service and attentiveness made my entire family feel welcome and at ease. We soaked up the atmosphere, enjoying everything from the decorations to the temperature. It was the perfect foodie experience. My family and I will never forget our meal at Marc Fosh and we hope to someday return and experience it again.I wish to thank the entire Marc Fosh team for making this experience something my family will hold dear to our hearts.

This is a solid modern European restaurant in a pleasant space with a great sommelier and excellent cocktails. BUT YOU MUST ARRANGE FOR A RIDE HOME ON YOUR OWN IN ADVANCE. Neither the restaurant nor the hotel will help you get a cab. We ended up walking to Plaça d'Espanya at midnight and taking the bus 25 minutes back to Playa de Palma, which was funny because it worked out - but beware, folks! You're on your own getting home!
Be the first to ReplyMichelin-starred Marc Fosh was a huge disappointment.
The amuse bouches were ok, and the beetroot gazpacho had decent flavor, but it was all downhill from there. The remaining dishes were quite bland and the accompanying sauce either flavorless or overly salty. In fact the only "flavor" that was prevalent throughout the meal was salt. The sauce ingredients described in the menu were indiscernible. The prickly pear emulsion served with the foie gras had no flavor and didn't provide the needed balance. The wild mushroom-chestnut consommé served with the very bland smoked rice only tasted like salt. The accompanying lobster had a nice grilled flavor, but was very rubbery. The parsley-liquorice chlorophyll sauce served with the sea bass tasted like nothing. It made for a very bland base for a very bland piece of fish. If it hadn't been for a small dab of persimmon chutney on the side, the fish would have been unpalatable. The fresh pea & bergamot puree served with the truffled guinea fowl had just barely discernible pea flavor, and the truffled fowl had no truffle flavor at all. The roasted hay jus served alongside just tasted like salt. Honestly, if it wasn't for the overpowering saltiness of some of the sauces I would have wondered if I had gotten COVID and lost my sense of taste. Everything certainly *looked* beautiful and the presentation and service were both great, but the flavors were tremendously disappointing. This was in the middle of winter on a very rainy day, so maybe the kitchen just wasn't staffed with top talent.

OMG what a meal!Frosh has been open with a Michelin star for years in Palma. We were a little hesitant as single starred restaurants that haven't moved up occasionally slack off a bit. But not Marc Frosh. We lucked out with the weather and were seated under the stars on their patio. Our waitress, Joy, was a marvel and moved from Spanish to English without a beat. There are two wine packages, local Mallorcan or International. We chose the International but then had a change of heart and switched to the local package. Rumor is that Catalonian King Jaime I invaded the country for its famous Malvasian wines, so why shouldn't we partake? The courses were a flurry of locally sourced ingredients combined with the sophistication of a world class chef. We were amazed at the tastes and breadth of the dishes. All the while the timing, service, and knowledge of the Sommelier was absolutely perfect.Perfect evening, amazing food & matched wines, stunning service, and at a price about half that of your average Michelin starred restaurant.Menueasy-order.app/cmscartad…
Be the first to ReplyAnother Michelin restaurant we got to book and try during
Another Michelin restaurant we got to book and try during our short stay in Mallorca. This place was way more upscale than the other Michelin restaurant we visited because it was a part of a 5-star hotel. They take your coats upon arrival and seated us immediately for our 7:30pm seating since that's their soonest availability for dinner because it opens at 7:30pm. The restaurant was beautiful and so clean - felt so fancy just being there. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating too. She offered cava upon arrival, which is a sparkling wine - that you'll be charged for but you can substitute it for beer or another drink. We started with a complimentary appetizer of a heart shaped goat cheese - which i don't like goat cheese but took a bite anyways because it was so pretty. This also has a prefixed menu of 7 courses for 89€ per person with additional cost of around 48€ for wine pairing. I also really appreciate that they have a menu for vegetarians and one for carnivores. We started with complimentary bread and olive oil, which i loved the garlic bread and multi grain one they offered out of the three options. - Fennel soup with lobster: the lobster was amazingly delicious compared to the rest of the dish, but the soup paired well with it.- Foie gras: not a fan of foie and i probably should've mentioned to my waitress, but ended up trying it and still wasn't a fan so my boyfriend got two portions of it. He enjoyed it however. It reminded him of pâté.- Bombas rice with smoked eel: the rice was a little hard and the eel was a bit salty, so i wasn't the biggest fan of the dish, however i ate all of it. - Sea bass with razor clam: the sea bass was delicious with a crisp on the outside and softness inside. - Suckling roast pig: this was my favorite dish of them all. The crispy pig skin and the melt in our mouth meat that was cooked so perfectly. The orange purée was also really good but i couldn't figure out what it was made of.- Cherry rosewater sorbet: not a huge fan of cherry flavored things, but it was refreshing after the heavy dishes from dinner.- Red fruit sorbet with mandarin cream: my favorite dessert of the two. The fruit sorbet was way yummier than the cherry one. They ended with a plate of chocolates and jelly that was complimentary to the meal. The spot was definitely aesthetically Michelin-worthy, but the food was just OK to me for the price of 214€.
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I had a fantastic dinner experience at this One
My wife and I had a fantastic dinner experience at this One Michelin Star restaurant. Marc Fosh offers two seven-course tasting menus: Menu Marc and Menu Natural. The Menu Marc is the standard menu and the Natural is the vegetarian option. We had the Menu Marc with the Wine Pairing. All the food was delicious but my favorites included the Foie, Wild Sea Bass, and the Cheese Plate. The richness of the Foie was evened out by caviar salt. The Sea Bass was tender and flakey with perfectly crisp skin and complimented with a flavorful sauce. The cheese plate featured five cheeses with varying flavor profiles and textures and was paired with jams and nuts. The dinner also included a tomato soup-like dish, a rice and lobster dish, a guinea fowl dish, and a couple of desserts. Overall the meal lasted about 3.5 hours and the service was exceptional: they even paused our dinner service at our request because we needed a short break.
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I were very unimpressed.
The combination of flavors just didn't make sense. Of the 9 courses on the prize dice menu only 3 were very good. The rest of the combos just didn't work. I love creativity, and I love going outside the box, but I just don't understand why the chef isn't trying everything first or getting real feedback. The wine pairing was good, but not great. Very disappointing for the price tag.

A Michelin star restaurant that is in walking distance from where we were staying while vacationing in Mallorca. YummmmWe arrived a little before our 1:00 reservation. We were seated promptly at 1 in a quaint outside patio. I ordered a vodka soda (this is definitely not a popular drink in Spain). It was delicious. My husband and I both did the lunch special with 3 courses and added on the cheese plate. We were both brought bread that you dip into this homemade olive oil with sea salt it was soooo delicious. Our cheese plate came out shortly after and it was incredible, one of the best I've ever had. There were multiple cheese that had been aged along with honey nuts and jellies that were to die for.It took a while to get our first course. We both ordered soup with scallops. It was unlike any other soup I've ever had. The waiter poured the soup on top of the scallops. It took a really long time to get the next course. One of the waitresses apologized and I was enjoying a leisurely lunch so it didn't bother me. We had cod and chicken. Both were delicious and really tasty. Last but not least was the chocolate brownie and it was melt in your mouth good. The waiter brought some extra chocolates out afterwards. We are celebrating our wedding anniversary early on this vacation so the waiter brought out a complimentary glass of cava.Overall my experience was great! I'm docking a star for waiting a long time between courses due to back up in the kitchen.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a Michelin 1 star restaurant and you should go in
This is a Michelin 1 star restaurant and you should go in knowing you're going to spend money for an experience and to be challenged in how you normally eat.Our service experience was top notch, we got the chef's choice 14 course meal and it was all very good. Some of the dishes are progressive and edge on 'strange', but we trusted the chef and it was all worth it and complemented each other well. This should not be your first Michelin experience, but if you're used to fine dining and up for an adventure then you will be quite pleased.

Creative selection and combination of ingredients and the service is absolutely fantastic. I can only highly recommended this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyWe where there in 2014 and this year.
It is a great restaurant with remarkable service. In this year I had the feeling that the dishes are getting more and more sophisticated -- a little to much for my personal taste. But still a must to go there If you wanna taste exceptional cuisine.
Be the first to ReplyFor a regular restaurant I would give this restaurant 5 out
For a regular restaurant I would give this restaurant 5 out of 10 stars. For an alleged Michelin starred restaurant, I would give it a 3 out of 10. Worst excuse for a Michelin starred restaurant I've ever been to. The service (except for one server) was horrendous. It was like watching the Keystone cops. No one knew what table any dish belonged to nor did they know what was ordered as we received the wrong plate 3 times. I was told by one waiter they had no Sauternes available which I had wanted for my foie course only to be told by another that they did. I was also told, upon receiving the wrong order that "this is what you ordered". It was not. When incorrect dishes were removed, tableware was not replaced so we eventually ended up sharing a fork as it was just easier than waiting (again) for something that was never going to happen. Cucumber soup with wasabi and salmon was great Foie gras course was good however it ABSOLUTELY needed more spice bread on the side ( I can see them not wanting to put more on the plate as it would have ruined the aestheticThe other soup with the prawn was forgettable. Prawn was terribly overcookedDuck course was fantastic Lamb was DRY and there was just a swipe of sauce on the plate so not even enough sauce to try to make it moist and flavorful. Desserts were good. In all, to me, the highlight was the bread service and that is just a damn shame. The food, in my opinion, should not have garnered a Michelin star and most importantly, the service (except again for the one blond gentleman) was some of the most bumbling and inept I have ever encountered at ANY restaurant much less a Michelin starred one.
