This restaurant is everything you could want in a restaurant. The dining room offers a surprising intimate feel with dim lighting, offering the diners to see into the open kitchen and to admire the three large stained glass windows. The beer, wine and cocktail lists are extensive offering anyone a flavor that they will love. The menu is small which is typically a good sign that the offerings are good...and as it turns out, they were extraordinary. The chefs are cooking with as many locally sourced products as possible. I enjoyed the farrotto (farro risotto) that had a dusting of Parmesan and bread crumbs. Throughout there was also an assortment of mushrooms. I opted to have the salmon added which made this meal filling and delicious. This was a perfect birthday dinner while here on a work trip. I look forward to my next work trip to Dallas to dine here again.

Be the first to ReplyOur brunch group got a reservation at Meddlesome Moth on
Our brunch group got a reservation at Meddlesome Moth on Sunday and this brunch experience is worth reporting. The only thing that was not perfect was our reservation. We waited for our table for 1/2 hour. This is always a challenge with our size group. Most restaurants only have a couple of table or have push tables together to make it work. The location of the restaurant is in the design district. This neighborhood is transitioning quickly. However, this restaurant has been here awhile because I was here for lunch when I worked downtown 8 years ago. The restaurant has built a solid business and Sunday brunch is a winner. There are several things that make it work: a. Valet parking ( much appreciated) b. Large Indoor stain glass decor that is very unique c. Open kitchen which is easy to view d. Large outdoor patio ( we ate inside)Everyone starts with their famous sticky buns appetizers. They were as good as advertised. Their Chicken & waffles were a hit as were the French toast sandwich and eggs Benedict. I had a Bloody Mary that came with a beer back. It was a nice touch. The women all had mimosas which they loved. The price we paid was competitive, not cheap or expensive. Best thing to say:"it is on our list to return."
Be the first to ReplyGosh, this place was so good I ate breakfast here everyday
Gosh, this place was so good I ate breakfast here everyday on my recent visit to Dallas. Well thought out menu with creative offerings. One day I had a simple serving of eggs over medium with crisp bacon and breakfast potatoes with a biscuit on the side. Biscuit was like a whole wheat thing that was surprisingly tasty and maybe a smidge healthy. Next time I had the biscuits n gravy and they were top notch. One in our group had the chicken and waffle and he gave it a joyous thumbs up!Coffee is tasty, water glasses refilled promptly throughout the meal. My friend had a Bloody Mary which came with a beer chaser. Good times and good food! Lovely seating both indoors and out added to ambiance.

The risotto tots weren't exactly what I was expecting, seemed more like hush puppies, but they were so creamy inside and crispy on the outside and the tuna skewers were pretty good. I really enjoyed how the salmon was cooked, tender and flaky, but there was just a LOT of squash, both whole and mashed, so I would've liked something with more texture even though it tasted great. Service was friendly. It was surprisingly loud in there, especially for a Thursday night.

This restaurant is fantastic!!! Good selections of local beers, especially if you are looking for dark beers. The music ambient and service area plus!! They are very attentive bartenders. Luis provided an excellent selection of beers and food. I highly welcome this place.
