Always great Food
Great food have been coming here for years! I do miss the original fries they used to server but still so good! They changed the atmosphere a little bit but the service is super nice!
Be the first to ReplyBeyond Grilled Cheese, the Amazing Melt Bar and Grilled, Lakewood, OH
Great local spot for the famous grilled cheese (and beyond) sandwiches, Melt Bar and Grilled, Lakewood, is a treat for those visiting the Cleveland area. Almost too huge to finish, the sandwiches offer delicious experiences for all tastes. Recommend going a little late to miss the rush. Enjoy!
Be the first to ReplyWas double charged for an order.
So unfortunately I came in on Dec 10, 2023 and was double charged for my order. I alerted the manager Izzy (I believe that's how you spell it) as soon as I knew that day before I left and he said he would deal with it. The next Friday the money still didn't get refunded and I called again and had a second manager refund my money. The next friday 12/22/23 I called again to complain that the money still had not been put in the account and was told they would have a manager call back. So I had to go the hard way (which actually ended up being the easy way) and contact and lodge a complaint with Chase which put the money back on that day. I would suggest not eating at this establishment. I will be telling my friends I was with that day about this issue as well suggesting not to come back for any reason. It is obvious to me that they are way too busy to have any customer service. It's not about the $16.22. It's about the principle of doing what you say you were going to do the first time. Shame really, the food was actually very good. Not worth being double charged though.
Be the first to ReplyGreat comfort food served up w/ a fun 80s- 90s vibe.
Great, original comfort food. Hefty servings. Great 80s vibe. Take the time to go to the flagship Lakewood location. Itโs the best.

We went to melt because it was recommended by a local. It reminded me of a restaurant in Pittsburgh called Primanti brothers. It was nice that we ate inside the restaurant. the decor was that there were garage doors that were open so that there was Cross breeze as while you were eating dinner. Our waitress was extremely friendly and excellent. The food was pretty good, big portions, and their mac & cheese is spicy as is their coleslaw. Seems like they use red pepper flakes in a lot of things. So if you like that, thatโs great. If itโs something that you canโt take as far as spice goes then you might want to avoid parts of the menu.

The food is fairly unique. It comes out looking like a commercial. Overall it was pretty good but pricey for what it is. The staff was friendly but the service was just okay, but everything was clean.
Be the first to ReplyFood ok, great service!
The food was just okay. Everything seemed overcooked. Our server was amazing, though! He was such a hard worker and was in a great mood despite how busy he was.

Was driving through the area and asked a friend from Cleveland for a recommendation and he pointed me here. Excellent food, great atmosphere. Nice list of local beers, including Great Lakes Christmas Ale, which was very good.

Came because of DDD- great service- ordered the Korean War Pig with Kimchi slaw- lots of restaurants in this neighborhood but not disappointed in this choice

We had dinner here on our recent trip to Cleveland. I can't say enough good things about the food. There are so many different takes on the typical grilled cheese sandwich. My wife had a Monte Cristo, one son had a normal grilled cheese (which they termed the Kindergartener), my other son had classic mac and cheese, and I had a grilled cheese with chorizo potato hash. It was all so yummy. The portions are huge and I could only eat half of the sandwich. For an appetizer, we shared homemade onion dip and kettle cooked potato chips. Best onion dip I've ever eaten and the kettle chips were thick and tasty. The waitress was nice and the food was served promptly. Loved it and wish they had these in Houston.

I was driving through and stopped for lunch, so glad I did. My waitress (Heather!) was great, super friendly no push, offered lots of suggestions (the menu is extensive, a lot to take for a first timer). Did a Voodoo Zombie with some Arnold Palmers to drink. The sandwich is bonkers, tastes amazing and is made with mad scientist love. I wish I could have stayed longer. This is a must go.

I always make sure to hit this spot whenever Iโm in Cleveland. The service was fantastic and the General Twoโs sammich was to die for!

Been to several of the Melt Restaurants. We like Lakewood the best. It has a friendlier atmosphere in our opinion Bottom line is that the sandwiches are huge! Always use fresh ingredients and the flavor is good. Generally a long wait on weekends so get there early. Not sure, but I don't think they accept reservation
