Not open on regular schedule.
They open when and only when they feel it. Too expensive for food and drinks. Food is made well but not for a hungry appetite. It's Always too cold or too hot inside and too windy outside. The owner is too rude to her own employees in front of the customers.

Delightful casual ambience for "lunch with a view" on Treasure Island. Had delicious fish tacos and seafood chowder with local beer and wine.

Darling restaurant w beautiful views. Unique, creative design using shipping containers with inside and outside seating. Fun bar for happy hour with games. Gorgeous landscaping. Very clever and food was delicious. We were greeted by a nice caring staff and owner who was very interested in treating customers well. We enjoyed our time at your place on Treasure Island! Best thing yet as they transition the island. We are looking forward to trying your new restaurant in Redwood City, Hurrica! Thanks for an exceptional experience!

Haven't got the food yet but had to comment on the 'Bad' attitude of the bartender. I understand it's a busy day due to the festival but the crowd means business which means profit. He snapped when asked for something and glares at the customers. The man behind the cash register asked him to pull the curtains due to the sun and he just stood there. The cashier closed them himself. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day but in the restaurant business taking it out on customers may not be the best idea.
Be the first to ReplyWe ordered fish chowder, fish tacos and fish and chips.
I think I found one piece of fish in my chowder, mostly potatoes. Fish tacos were pretty good. Fish and chips - not much flavor in the fish or chips. Area is unique and worth a visit. Views of the city are amazing.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is so amazing and casual environment.
The menu is good and has great food options. Every course was unique and decent. They absolutely care about the food both in presentation and taste. A bit pricey is worth. The fish tacos and clam chowder taste really delicious. Well-cooked and the food portion size is good. Very prompt service!

What a find! Mersea is the perfect destination when you need to shake off cabin fever. There's something about taking the Treasure Island exit off the Bay Bridge that sets the tone for adventure, and Mersea delivers. The menu matches the environment - fun & funky & fresh. The service is attentive without being intrusive. And the view of the city is *chef's kiss*I've definitely added it to my short list of day trips.

A really delightful place! Good food, super friendly staff, and great views of the bay. Definitely casual, although there was a wedding party there all dressed up so clearly up to you how casual to be or not. It's an easy walk to/from the Treasure Island ferry although at the moment there's quite a bit of construction happening so couldn't walk along the waterfront as we did before. A gem of the Bay Area.

Good fish and chips with an incredible view of the SF skyline. The servers/bartenders are all very friendly. A pleasant SF experience, I recommend the burger or fish and chips!

After 5 years of living in SF, I finally got the opportunity to try Mersea, and, holy heck, did it deliver! It's such a well-decorated, welcoming space, and the blend of indoor and outdoors spaces are seamlessly designed to maximize one's experience. The food was 10/10, absolutely no notes. As someone who loves meatless options, the Beyond Burger was just the absolute bomb. Packed with flavor, I felt so comfortably full afterwards, and the fries were fried to utter perfection. My friend ordered the fish and chips, and they were just as tasty! The bar options did *not* disappoint, and the overall vibes were just perfect for a sunny afternoon. This place is well worth any wait with spectacular views, awesome gardens, and wonderful staff! I even got to meet the owner, MeeSun, and she was just the cherry on top of a great experience! Warm and welcoming, MeeSun knows how to cultivate a vibe, and I got learn the story behind the name of the restaurant, too! Definitely ask her if you see her :)Will definitely be coming back!

Be the first to ReplyThis place seems rather foo-foo.
That means you pay a lot and leave still feeling hungry. We came here because of SF Restaurant week (SFRW). For SFRW, they offered a haddock/bacon chowder (2.5/5) and a seared yellowtail with sweet pea pesto (4.5/5).The chowder lacked flavor. Imagine potato soup. The serving size seemed small too. Maybe 4 oz? Definitely not a bowl size (see photo). It had lots of potato cubes but hardly any bacon or haddock bits. As the old lady in the Wendy's Ad once said: "Wherrrrrrrr's the beef!'???"The seared Yellowtail was excellent (4.5/5). It was flavorful, creative and had an interesting thick white sauce that tasted like aioli and hummus at the same time and had a sour cream or yogurt accent. Loved it.Finished their SFRW dishes in a matter of minutes. The system here is fairly basic: you pay first, are given a beeper (don't wanna know how many hands touched them..."stop the spread?" Anybody?), then once your beeper lights up, you pick up the food On your Own, you take a fork and knife in an exposed container (did see flies hovering at times) on Your Own and you seat yourself on Your own. Just remember that when you decide on how much to tip.Including two cans of Vodka Spritzers, it cost nearly $100 for lunch for two yet I was still hungry. So we bought two small fish tacos (3/5) for around $18-19 after tip. It was ok (3/5) But again, lacked flavor and I was still hungry after eating them in three bites. So if you are a true eater, don't expect this place to be sufficient. All this being said and in fairness to this place, the service, when it was offered or available was friendly, reliable and helpful. But again, not much service is expected if you are eating at a self service establishment. Also, a positive, the vibe here is relaxing and tiki-ish. There are cute little idiosyncrasies here like a garbage can that looks like the Cookie Monster, ice plants, some live music (average music; would be better with some fun, calm jazz) and a center area where you can take a photo of yourself with the Mersea decoration. Another plus is that there is plenty of parking and most importantly, there is a breath taking view of SF. That alone makes this establishment one that will eventually attract a lot of tourists.Lots of potential here and I might come here again if I were entertaining a visitor. However, not sure if I'd come here for the food simply because the servings are too dainty and most of the options weren't memorable (other than the seared yellow tail which I loved). This place also has a lot of potential to make it funner for customers. Not sure what but the energy here makes one want to relax and hang around here for a few hours.Keeping my eye on this place as it has room to improve given its unique location.

Beautiful place to grab lunch! My coworkers and I met here for a team outing on a Friday and the weather was so beautiful. You get a great view of the city from the outdoor seating area. They also had live music playing which was nice. Food - truffle fries (yum!) 5/5- crispy tacos. I got 1 fish and 1 tofu. 3.5/5Drink - Arnold Palmer: however they made it, it was perfectly balanced and refreshing ServiceYou place an order at the register and get a beeper for your food. Typically you would pick up your food once ready but since we were a larger group on one tab they brought the food to our table.

I love this place ! Such a vibe ! The shipping container concept matches the Bay Area port area view. It's not a very complexed menu . But the simple food was great. The fish and chips are amazing!
