Poor Management and service.
I didn’t know the floors 1 and 2 would be occupied by Latino/Hispanic families. Regular guest stayed on the third floor. Realized we were a minority. Woke up at midnight with marijuana smoke coming into our room! The at 8;45 the breakfast room was out of milk, bread to toast and crowded with women and children. Why this hotel took reservations when it was a site for sanctuary city fly-ins from the border.

My stay at this hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. The constant blaring music and perpetual parties on the first floor made it impossible to relax. To make matters worse, the first two floors seemed to serve as a shelter for the homeless, with kids running amok and disturbing the peace. It appears they also accommodate long-term guests, which only adds to the chaotic atmosphere. I strongly advise against staying here; it's simply not worth even a 3.5-star rating

This hotel is basically a migration home. Breakfast was packed couldn’t get in line n once we did very limited left

This was an affordable, lovely hotel to stay for my vacation to Minneapolis! The stay are friendly and attentive, the breakfast is always fresh, and the pool was nice and warm.
Be the first to ReplyHorrible smelly homeless shelter
This place smells disgusting. You are essentially living in a homeless shelter. I found out that the state pays for 50 rooms there to house the homeless and this is clearly shown. I stayed at la Quinta for my rewards and wasn’t familiar with Minneapolis but thought the suburbs would be safe. There were scary people all around and I did wonder what the smell was. I’ve stayed in worse hotels that didn’t smell like that. I understand there’s a homeless problem but I did not want to pay to stay in a hostel or homeless shelter, they really need to let this be known. I ended up leaving earlier and staying with a friend even before I knew what was really going on because it was so horrible.

Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. Overall cleanliness of the inside of the building was a 10. Outside the building however there was trash in the parking lot blowing around with the wind. The room was freshly cleaned and looking good. The only issue is there are noticeable stains around the room in different places. Breakfast was really good, only they didn't have everything available that was labeled and supposed to be out. Overall experience was 7/10.

Our room was spotless and well decorated. The shower was the nicest one we have ever had in a motel. The bed was a king-sided and very comfortable with attractive linens. We enjoyed our short stay and would choose to return someday. Thank you!!
Be the first to ReplyIs it a hotel or an appartment building?
It seems like they are renting the rooms out to families for long term stays. It even appeared that there is a school bus stop there. It is noisy. The hotel reeks from the food that is being cooked in the rooms. The internet connection is weak, slow and intermittent.

Loved the front desk staff. Super nice. Parking lot super clean. Room clean and sparkly. The pool was nice temp. The breakfast was warm and wonderful. Would come back here again outside of business trips

This was a great stay. The front desk worker was full of personality and answered all my questions I had. The hotel was clean and neat and the pool was definitely a plus. The location is right near the high way so easy to get to my business meetings.

They make us very comfortable and the staff is very attentive. They accept our dog and understand the need for close to a door. They usually try to get us the room we like the best. The desk staff is always so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and convenient

I am currently still at the hotel but my stay as of today is Excellent... I don't have any complaints .. the room is very spacious... The hotel staff all are very polite and they go out of there way to make sure my stay here is great and no problems. The property is well kept up. Never trashy looking or looking like it's a run down hotel. The breakfast in the morning is great.. The rooms are sound proof I swear.. because surprisingly I really haven't heard anyone in the other rooms surrounding me.. Out of all the hotels in the twin cities that I have been to The LaQuinta INN and Suites in Brooklyn Park is the best one ..thank you

Their internet service was down the whole weekend. Breakfast was so so, cold items great, hot items pretty bad. Gray sausages, potatoes hot on the outside, frozen on the inside. Coffee was terrible. There were sliding doors between sinks and toilet/shower area which made for little privacy, and the sliding doors were very dirty, fingerprints & smudges on the white paint; partially because it was difficult to pull them open.

Spending time with my boyfriend and his daughter for the weekend and to spend time with each other and have a good time with each other and go swim in the pool and just relax and have free time together

A snow storm kept me from driving home and I needed to spend the night close to my job - the room and bathroom was clean, the staff was friendly, coffee in the lobby was ok (I've had worse). I will stay there again.
Be the first to ReplyHORRIBLE
Horrible service. Hot tub was not working three weeks ago or this time when we stayed. Pool is freezing cold. The guy at the front desk said they can’t fix that kind of stuff because it’s so expensive and they can’t get their money back. Our flight also got canceled so we asked for a refund just on the parking we paid. They refused to pay back our parking. We asked the shuttle to pick us up at the airport and waited an hour and a half. The only good thing about the hotel was the shuttle driver, who was extremely nice and accommodating. Front desk was absolutely useless. My husband said if I ever book at this hotel again, he would divorce me. If you don’t like the smell of cigarette smoke, do not stay here because the hallways reeked of cigarette smoke, and was definitely not accommodating for children.I would’ve rather had slept in my car.
Be the first to ReplyConveniently located on the Interstate.
Stayed here with entire family for a wedding weekend. While the rooms seemed smaller than usual, the stay was comfortable for both nights. The staff was always accommodating and helpful - even a sense of humor.
Be the first to ReplyOwners DO NOT CARE to fix ANYTHING...
Ever since La Quinta went to a franchise model we have been more and more disappointed with each respective stay. This particular La Quinta in Brooklyn Park area of Minneapolis was a real rundown dirty over-priced joke! I would not put the La Quinta name on this location as it surely does not live up to the standards that we thought were in place by La Quinta corporate.

Fantastic hotel! Quiet, clean, nice amenities and right by the freeway. The free breakfast was a great way to start the day! It’s too bad they use hoteltrader.com as a booking service. I had a question and they didn’t get back to me until this morning-about a week late. It was a question the hotel couldn’t answer. Thank you for everything other than hoteltrader.com.
Be the first to ReplyWatch them with check in Fees
You don't know who's telling the truth with the check-in fee either $60 or $40. It pissed me off cuz I got there about 4:00 in the morning and they were trying to charge me for Thursday and then I'll have to check out Friday and then rebook my room for Friday and like I told the girl it was already Friday morning
Be the first to ReplyNot worth your money to stay here
Dirty Place! Don't bother and especially if you have pets. Almost no yard for pets and no dog bags. Bad air quality in room. Sub Par all around. Not up to the usual standard of other La Quinta hotels.
Be the first to ReplyNice place
Great staff, clean rooms. Hallways could be vacuumed better but overall good value. Breakfast is very good and coffee but get there early. Room clean and bed very comfortable. Remodeled in the room we stayed
