mister parker's Palm Springs Reviews from The Last Year
Big Bust.
This is the most pretentious spot in SOCAL. The fact that I need a dinner jacket for dinner in the desert to start. The food is middle of the road. I love the space but it's just too much. And making a reservation is a nightmare. Horrible.
This is one of the coolest restaurants we've ever visited!
This is one of the coolest restaurants we've ever visited! The ambience is very upscale, yet laid-back and private. The best way to describe it is "it's such a vibe and such a mood", lol. I absolutely love this place! The food was stellar, and they even gave us fresh bread with a lit candle made of butter as an appetizer. How unique and fun! I wish I would've taken more pictures but honestly, the vibe is so cool and private that I felt a little nerdy taking pictures and just wanted to soak it in. Our waitress took such good care of us. I honestly feel like she made us feel like we were so important and she genuinely wanted us to have the best experience. If I could give this place more than five stars, I would!
I recently dined at Mr.
Parker's in Palm Springs and have mixed feelings about my experience. Firstly, their policy regarding sneakers and dinner jackets for guys is quite frustrating as many patrons, were wearing sneakers, yet we were told we couldn't. This inconsistency was disappointing. The food was decent, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. While it was enjoyable, it certainly wasn't the best I've ever had. Additionally, the wait time for our main dish was longer than expected, which was a bit inconvenient. On a positive note, our waiter was attentive and provided good service throughout the meal. Overall, Mr. Parker's has potential, but there are definitely areas that need improvement
We had a nice time at Mr.
Parker's....our waiter Tristan was outstanding. The food was all right, the atmosphere dark and intimate which I liked very much however I don't know that there is sufficient "oomph" here to justify the prices. I would have expected next level food quality. A dirty martini at $25 comes with expectations of greatness. Although there were some misses here, overall we enjoyed the evening, good friends and intimate conversation and wonderful wait staff experience.
Bad service
Despite the fact that we were guests at the hotel, there was plenty of room at the restaurant, and it was an hour before closing, they wouldn’t seat us because they wanted to close early. This hotel and restaurant have 5 star marketing and 2 star follow through.
Mister Parker's offers a memorable, delicious fine dining
Mister Parker's offers a memorable, delicious fine dining experience. I grabbed a last minute reservation in April 2023 and the same on a busy Friday night the first weekend of December 2023. They were not planning on us, nor did we have demanding expectations. Each meal - from the impeccable service to the wine recommendations to the food was perfection in every respect. More than that the service is personalized and truly enjoyable. The waiters are knowledgable and very engaging in a way that results in consistent, very professional and formal service, but also makes it fun. If staying at the Parker, dinner there makes for a complete evening - from cocktails to a nightcap and everything in between. It's romantic, perfect for a girls night out or a classic choice for a group dinner with otherwise strangers on a business trip or a small group of couples. Everything you have to drink or eat will be divine. If not, they will correct it or replace it with something that is perfect for you. Mister Parker's is very special. I hope to visit again soon and wish their team the best in the meantime.
Mister Parker's offers excellent service in one of the most
Mister Parker's offers excellent service in one of the most handsome rooms in Palm Springs. With that said, although the food is well prepared and thoughtfully served, the menu's pricing which is more concurrent with a Michelin star restaurant is not in line with the dressed up steakhouse selections available. More frustrating is the restaurant dress code, which is very clearly telegraphed on both emails and text messages before arrival, yet the the majority of the gentlemen dining were not in jackets and ladies were clad in casual sweaters and jeans the night we arrived. Either enforce the dress code or do away with it, as there is nothing more frustrating than to dine next to patrons in sneakers and t-shirts when yoi have gone through the effort of looking your best in formal attire. Additionally the restaurant requires an online booking with a $10 service fee. When selecting our table it appeared the restaurant was almost fully booked but to our surprise when we arrived on a Saturday evening more than half the restaurant was closed off and the room we were in was half full.
And the winner is….?
And we have a winner! Wondering what the best white linen dinner destination in the desert is? It’s the dining room at the Parker. General Manager Mr Fox runs a tight and classy ship, delivering a service experience reminiscent of Ma Maison and Chasen’s. The room is a visual feast, they did their homework on the wine list, and the execution in the kitchen is five stars. Put this on your list when you need to impress a special date, or you just need to remind yourself that Palm Springs still has an ace or two up its sleeve.

Wish we had a better experience than we did at this restaurant. I planned a dinner for my boyfriend’s 40th birthday. I made a reservation 4 weeks in advance, and called 2 weeks in advance to alert the establishment it was his birthday. The reservations are on “Peak” - you reserve your specific table; catch is that apparently, other customers can “buy” your reservation from you. As this was intended to be a special milestone dinner, I booked a banquette. The day of the reservation (on his birthday) I received a text from Peak that someone wanted to buy my table for $50, and if I wanted to keep my table, I didn’t need to respond. We arrived at the restaurant early, and had a drink at the bar - lounge/bar area is great! When time for our reservation, we were “greeted” by a host, who promptly informed us that this is a Dinner Jacket Only restaurant (we were never advised of this prior to the reservation). The host was pretty rude to us, and handed my boyfriend an ugly paisley silk magician’s jacket. We were brought to a table that was NOT a banquette, instead a table in the middle of the room. Someone swiped our table, and we didn’t receive the proposed $50. Disappointing, but we didn’t say anything. We had high hopes for the evening regardless. Unfortunately, I would not suggest anyone waste their money here. For the $600 we spent, we assumed we would receive a level of service and food quality that would match the ambiance, and we were sadly incredibly disappointed. We had one server that seemed to leave 10 minutes after we were seated, claiming we were in for a night of surprise - our only surprise was the service was bad - he dropped a candle on the table (this is actually part of their bread and butter service), and left. The bread arrived 25 minutes later from a different server, who forgot to explain that the candle was the butter. After taking our order (almost an hour after we sat), all service nearly disappeared. The food was both over and undercooked - $140 for a Wagyu steak that was undercooked and flashed, and inedible. The steak tartare was prepared table side; the server said “I will review the items as we prepare the dish - let me know if you are allergic to or don’t like anything” (to note, they never asked our allergies); before we could say if we wanted any adjustments, the ingredients were already in the dish. At one point, I brought “4-0” candles that I had purchased over to the host, to give the kitchen for dessert. He acted like I handed him something spoiled. The dessert came from the server and the host, who both just handed my boyfriend the dish and simply said “enjoy” and walked away. Overall, ambiance was a 10, tables were a 6, drinks were a 5, food was a 2, service was -5. We will not be making another stop here on our next Palm Springs annual trip.

Run don’t walk away from Mr Parker’s
Flew all the way from NYC to enjoy the new Mr Parker via open table reservation, which we had an email confirmation. We were told when we arrived they no longer accept open table reservations. The manager was beyond RUDE. Acted as if this was our fault. We have dined many times at Mr Parker's and many Mitchell star restaurants around the world and have never been treated so badly. Stay away! They do NOT care about their customers.
Super nice staff but.....
You'll enjoy this restaurant - 1. If you want to wear a jacket in the blazing heat of Palm Springs. Nothing like putting on a nice wool blazer in 110 degree heat. Oh, btw - Women can wear whatever they want but if you are a man, you need to put that jacket on asap! The good news is they allow you to take the jacket off at your table but if you have to use the bathroom, gots to put that jacket back on. 2. If you want to pay $15.00 for parking plus tip despite the fact there are plenty of spots for for self park. Valet parking is mandatory. 3. If you want to pay $52.00 for a chicken dish. And if you want a side of mashed potatoes - that will be an additional $18.00. 4. If you like booking a table but then someone can 'bid' for your reservation and you have the courtesy of counter bidding to keep your reservation. I felt like I was at an establishment designed by someone that loves Mad Men (e.g. 'gentlemen' must wear jackets) and Game of Thrones (e.g. guests out bidding each other for a bloody table). My recommendations: 1. Drop the jacket requirement. Good lord. Locals don't want to wear them (and won't) and travelers to PS aren't going to pack them. And btw - if a dress code is required, then make it something for both sexes and not just men. 2. Comp valet parking if you eat at Mister Parkers. The bill is going to be enormous. 3. Offer some prix fixe options and don't require sides to be purchased separately. Everyone knows it is a money grab. 4. OpenTable or Resy works just fine. Keep it simple. This bidding thing puts guests at odds with each other. Do you want to create this experience? 5. Whoever is in charge of hiring and training, give them a promotion or pay increase. The hotel employees are very nice. I wish the team good luck. I will say that the staff is very friendly.
We had a fabulous time, service was spot-on and solicitous
We had a fabulous time, service was spot-on and solicitous without being gratuitous. Amazing food, lovingly prepared, not over-done, everything very tasty. We cleaned our plates -- which is so gauche, I know, but at least we didnt lick them clean. We had a lovely spot in a far corner, with a view of the entire place, we felt so lucky to be wined and dined by this crew of professionals. Highly recommended!
We dined at Mr Parkers last night and literally cannot
We dined at Mr Parkers last night and literally cannot fault it. Hands down best room, dark and moody, expertly overseen by the fabulous Tim Fox. Service was impeccable, lobster bisque and table side prepared beef tartare were outstanding, all served by expert waitstaff. The complimentary sourdough boule and beef tallow butter (in the form of a candle) were divine. We are a couple from New Zealand, used to fine dining, and this did not disappoint. We can't wait to return.
First things first, shout out to our server Paul.
He was a delight. This place was very aesthetically pleasing. Dimly lit, well decorated, AMAZING playlist. You do need a button up shirt or blazer to get in, if you don't have one they have loaners. My date had to wear a loaner. The jacket was gold and black and SO extra. On to the food... presentation wise everything was beautiful. There were a lot of very creative and fun touches. Everything was cooked perfectly but overall I would say most of the things we ordered lacked salt. the menu was pretty small. Everything on it sounded delicious. I just feel at that price point everything should be seasoned perfectly. But overall really fun experience.
surprised by the negative reviews.
We had a group of 6 and everyone loved the food and ambiance. Def will be back! The staff was also amazing!

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
