If I lived on Oahu, I’d come here all the time.
If you have food allergies, this is the place for you. They handle them better than the Disney resort across the street. And, their food is very good. My lettuce wrap fish tacos were yummy. They also have good choices for children and are happy to accommodate all special requests.
Be the first to ReplyHappy hour is the time to go!
We came here for happy hour after visiting Aulani. We parked (paid) in this shopping area and walked to and from Aulani. We got here exactly around 3:30pm and were seated within 5 minutes. Their happy hour deals (3:30-5pm daily) are so good. 1/2 price appetizers and $13 pizzas (with some exceptions). We ordered the vegan tortilla soup, garlic truffle oil fries and a margherita pizza to share. There was live music during our meal. The tortilla soup and pizza were excellent. I wish the fries were crispier. However, for the happy hour deal, we would happily come back again. Unfortunately we did not have time.

Although the yen is weak, I still wanted to eat something delicious, so I went to Monkeypod near the hotel. It was crowded, but we were seated right away and shown to a table on the second floor. The service was good, and the food came quickly after we ordered. The garlic truffle butter French fries were delicious and disappeared quickly (lol). I'd like to visit again when I go to Hawaii.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing happy hour
I’m tempted not to highlight the happy hour so people don’t make it too busy for me. 😁 We love this restaurant and typically come for happy hour and eat half off appetizers and pizza. Friendly staff and live music 3x/day.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for dinner
This is a fun, lively and busy restaurant. I would definitely recommend reservations. We started with the signature Mai Tai (delicious) and the seasonal hard cider. Our server was super friendly and answered all our questions. The appetizer dumplings were great, but beware of the super spicy sauce if you are sensitive. The entrees were amazing. I had the macadamia crusted mahi mahi - so rich and delicious and my husband had the ahi steak which was super flavorful.

What a nice meal and time at Monkey Pub. Curiously, open table somehow booked me at the location in Maui even though we are in Oahu. The reception staff indicated that this has happened more than once. They were able to seat us within 10 mins so Ty! My wife had a best ever mojito from the bar and I had a Thai curry fish and scallop special. Fantastic. The pizza and roasted chicken legs were also excellent. Service was nice, location great, nice vibe. Definitely recommended.
Be the first to ReplyAn absolutely amazing experience!
We were at a nearby resort about a year ago, but each time we wanted to grab a bit to eat, the lines here were out the door so we went elsewhere. Fast forward a year later and with a slightly larger group, the winning vote was to wait until we could get a table. The wait actually wasn't bad at all, and the food was absolutely amazing, and the service was truly next level! Everything we ordered was a hit, as we all sampled bites from each others plates. My only regret if there was one, would be that I didn't order more of the lobster deviled eggs appetizers. :) Monkey Pod Kitchen is our new go-to when we are on Oahu!
Be the first to ReplyGreat place to catch the football game and good food
Monkey pod had great atmosphere and good food. The staff were personable and offered good recommendations. This restaurant is an easy walk from Aulani.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food at moderate prices at an expensive resort area.
Delicious food. Service was excellent - restaurant was very well run. We came back for another meal.
Be the first to ReplyDo not recommend.
We ordered Pina Colada with a Chambord shot. They put lemon juice in the pina colada which completely destroyed the flavor and clashed with the Chambord. We also had the potstickers which were good. Then we ordered the fish and chips. The fish was very dry and the french fries were so over fried they were completely charred. We had to dig through to find a few we could eat. Will not be back

My wife and I went here for dinner. We started with the poke tacos, the ahi tuna was light and complimented by the ginger and avocado cream sauce on delicious wonton shells. We both had a pizza, I had the Margherita and my wife had the Kalua Pork & Pineapple. they were both very good, my wife's pork, roasted pineapple, jalapeno and green onions were a good combination. We were quite satisfied with the food that we also visited their restaurant on Maui.
Be the first to ReplyNice Alternative if Staying at Aulani Disney Resort
Nice alternative if staying at the Aulani Disney Resort Hotel where we found the food overpriced and of average quality. Monkeypod is a small restaurant chain with 4 locations in the Hawaiian Islands. The Monkeypod at Ko Olina is a big place and has a lively scene. Creative drink menu and a large beer list. The food was very good although the fish tacos I ordered were just okay and I didn't enjoy my meal as much as my wife with what she ordered.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious Lunch with Family!!
Our family of five from Texas and Oklahoma visited Oahu and the Big Island for Spring Break! We have friends that live in Pearl City and recommended Monkeypod as a meeting place for lunch while we were staying at Aulani. I was not sure about the pick but after eating there, I have to say it was one of the top meals we had while at Oahu! Our friends started with the Pumpkin Patch Ravioli, I did not try it but my husband and daughter did and they both said it was very good! We had the Bulgogi Pork Tacos and the Fish Tacos and they were delicious!! The service was great! If and when we visit Oahu again we will return!
Be the first to ReplyNice pizzas
Went to Monkeypod to get 2 pizzas for a family of 4. The Hawaiian pizza was great but the pepperoni was awesome. The only issue we’re both pizzas were very small.
Be the first to ReplyBest restaurant in Ko Olina!
Had two meals from Monkeypod over a weeklong stay--one dining in and one takeout. Big fans of the lobster deviled eggs, the fries with aioli dipping sauce, the margherita and Kalua pork & pineapple pizzas. The Waipoli farms mixed greens salad paired well with our pizza night. Also enjoyed fish tacos and sandwich with fresh caught mahi mahi. Kids loved the cheese pizza and macaroni with marinara. The honey-lilikoi foam was amazing in Monkeypod Mai Tai. And of course, the pies... banana cream and strawberry were so so good (and shareable). Don't be alarmed if you can't get a reservation. With a group of 6 on a Saturday night, still only a 30-40 minutes wait.
Be the first to ReplyOkay, but pricey for what you get
We ate lunch at Monkeypod one afternoon in February 2023. We were able to walk in without a reservation and were seated on the patio. They gave us a table right in front of the live music (loud). We asked for another table, and though quite a few were empty, they said that was the only table we could have because they didn't have enough servers to work all the tables. We found the menu rather limited. The food we received was good, but the portions were small and definitely not worth the prices they charge. Parking is limited so walk there if you can. I probably wouldn't eat there again.

This was our last dinner on Maui. We picked it because they don’t take reservations. All the other restaurants in the area were booked. It’s a popular place, so plan on waiting a while. We started with drinks. Their Mai Tai’s are the best we’d had all week. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food was excellent. Our group had pizza, steak, and the pork chop that was a special that night. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

We always visit Monkey Pod no matter what part of the island we are staying on. Have had dinner here 3 nights in a row, because its so good and the food is fresh. Everything we have had here is delicious, including the options for kids (fresh fish, vegetables, and rice). Appetizers are also great, and a favorite of us and the kids.

Overall: A rating; have been many times and it is a recommended stop. Pros: Good food, cocktails, location, and live music Come: Popular place that can get busy Great spot right across from the killer Ko’Olina bays.
Be the first to ReplyMonkeypod never fails to delight!
Monkeypod is a great restaurant. The food is excellent and the Mai Tais are the best ever. I've been here on multiple occasions and it's always good.

Went here one night for supper. The staff was great. Food was ok until my child found a hair in his French fries. They took his meal off our bill and gave a free desert. I tried to order a beer but so many of the ones I asked for they were out of. My 3rd choice they finally had at the bar. Had entertainment that night which was nice .
Be the first to ReplyA fun spot for dinner and drinks
We walked over from Aulani and was able to be seated without a reservation. We were on the second floor and it was windy that night! We wanted something simple so we stuck with salad and pizza. Both were very tasty. It was a nice alternative to our resort meals. The server was friendly but not in the way.
