Ribeye was a Disappointment
Stopped here on a Sunday night business trip. Felt like having a nice steak dinner. I ordered Caesar Salad, Au Gratin Potatoes, and a Prime Ribeye. The salad and potatoes were excellent. The steak was a disappointment. Very little flavor. I never order any sauces with my steak, but this one was in dire need of something to give it flavor. In the end, I think a trip to Texas Roadhouse would have been a better choice.
Be the first to ReplyGood food overall, spotty service.
Ate at a high top in the bar which we loved but service was…spotty at best. Cosmo martini was good but very watery. Good selection of wines by the glass. Great chopped salad - plenty for two. Bread was just ok. Spinach/mushroom combo was very good. Filet had good flavor but was a bit overdone (we like medium rare…it was more medium). The highlight was the espresso martini - made perfectly! Not the clubby steakhouse atmosphere of other facilities. More open. Had to beg for: salt/pepper, wine list, another cocktail…thankfully other waitstaff helped us.

Ty got us a great table and Kathie Lee took care of this for the rest the night, she did a awesome job. my husband steak was cooked perfect. I loved my seafood tower and the fresh onion loaf of bread. I WOULD RECOMMEND
Be the first to ReplyWorth the drive from Saint Augustine
Love this place. The service is the best and the food is always good. Well worth the drive from Saint Augustine! The bacon steak is a must have as well as the Morton's Coffee. The steak here is out of this world. We have eaten steak at a lot of places but this is the best! Make sure and let them know when you are celebrating because they like to make it extra special.

Great atmosphere with a server who paid attention to detail. The food was fantastic and made to perfection. Morton’s was a great choice.

We have eaten numerous times at Morton's over the last few years. We have always had fantastic service and all of the food that we ordered has been amazing. I would recommend becoming rewards members because they email specials and deals that are going on in your local Mortons. I would also recommend the Bacon Steak.....because....BACON...Yum!! Seriously though, it is tasty and highly addictive! :-)

Brett was our waiter. He made some fabulous wine and meal suggestions. Everything was spot on. We had excellent service and delicious food.
Be the first to ReplyThe Worst Mortons Location
Years ago, I worked at Mortons (Midtown NYC). It was an experience. Back then, it had team staff, a rolling menu cart, dark lighting, and a constant attention to detail. I have since eaten at many Mortons - about 20 worldwide - and they have ranged from excellent (Reston) to good (Richmond) to OK (Orlando). This was by far the worst of them. The bartender, Josh, was nice. He poured a good drink and was friendly. That was about the best part of the evening. Our server allowed plates and glasses to pile up on the table, opened a wine without giving us an option to taste it (never came back to refill the wine), allowed crumbs to accumulate (in its heyday, Mortons servers were constantly "crumbing" the tables), and she generally had a dismissive attitude. Honestly, I have gotten far better service at an Outback. It was clear to see why Cowford's Chophouse had zero tables available on a Friday night and Mortons had availability. I was so disgusted by the general poor service, that I did something I almost never do - I took pictures. In the images, you can see where shrimp tails and oyster shells were left on the table after our meals were served. The mashed potatoes were beyond bland and the creamed spinach tasted as if it was overcooked. This was by far the worst of the Mortons and I am not sure if this was a reflection of a specific restaurant or a broader fall in quality since Landry's bought the iconic name. Arnie would be rolling in his grave. There are better Mortons and better options than this location.

We chose to eat at the bar. And our experience and enjoyment were exceptional. The 2 professional bartenders who cared for us worked in tandem with ease and efficiency. They were groomed and attired to perfection.
