We had reservations and arrived on time. Had to wait 20 minutes for a table to open up. Small table by the door and bar. VERY loud. Our server was attentive was service was good. We were kind of wined out from an earlier tasting, so we had diet cokes, shared chicken wings (very good) and split an order of ribs and cornbread (ribs just ok/Cornbread excellent). No dessert. With 20% tip the bill was $100, so it is pricey considering we just had soda and split appetizers and entrees.
Quality and Tasty Food and Drinks
After failing to get a reservation for two for lunch we walked in anyways to try our luck! There was room at the bar so we sat down and enjoyed our meals there. The bar tender was attentive to us and an artist at making drinks! I had to try the special drink of the day, a watermelon margarita, which was so tasty. For lunch I tried one of the specials of the day, a halibut tostada with black beans, arugula, and watercress which was delicious. My bestie had the steak and frites which she devoured so needless to say was it was also delicious. The price tag may be a bit much but the quality and taste of the food warrants the price tag! Definitely worth a try when in Napa! It’s packed with people for a reason!

Mustards Grill is the kind of place where every dish feels like a signature. From the first bite to the last, the flavors are bold, balanced, and unmistakably Napa. Start with the crab cakes they are my favorite there--crisp on the outside, packed with sweet, fresh crab inside. The ahi tuna is good because of the quality of the fish. Crispy calamari is lightly breaded, tender, and served with a dipping sauce that brings it all together beautifully. It's the kind of appetizer trio you almost don't want to share. For mains, the meatloaf is a surprise standout--rich, hearty, and elevated with deep flavors and perfect sides. The baby back ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender with a smoky, slightly sweet glaze that lingers in the best way. The pork chop is thick, juicy, and cooked flawlessly--seasoned to enhance, not overpower with a mesquite sweet taste. The rotating chalkboard steak special is always worth a look. On our visit, the steak was cooked to perfection and served with a sauce that made every bite better than the last. Sides here are no afterthought. The cornbread is warm, golden, and just the right amount of crumbly. The mac and cheese is decadent and creamy without being overly heavy, and the mashed potatoes are buttery, whipped smooth, and pure comfort. Be sure to save room for dessert--the citrus meringue pie is the grand finale. Bright, tangy, and topped with a cloud of toasted meringue, it's a refreshing, unforgettable finish to a standout meal. Service is relaxed but can be lacking at times. Overall the atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between upscale and inviting. Mustards Grill proves, once again, why it's a beloved staple in Wine Country dining.
Unfortunately, this place was not for us.
I ordered the flank steak which was well WELL over done so made it very dry, didn't end up eating it. Partner ordered the NY, it was semi decent, no marbleization which made it very bland and not as favorable. Order a side of mashed potatoes which had NO flavor at all, my fries weren't even seasoned just tasted like fresh out of the oil. Neither of us ate even 1/4 of our plate which sucked bc it was pricy. Also, called ahead and my partner spoke with the bartender asking for advise on a nice champagne for my bday and have it ready etc. which they did table side and that was nice. I almost passed out when I see it was a $150 bottle on the tab after we drank it, that was my husband bad I told him he should have confirmed the price! So yah, unfortunately it just wasn't for us all around. Also, it was extremely loud in there, the table behind us the lady was screaming laughing g every time she heard something funny lol. And I know ppl like to have a good time, the evening bday dinner just didn't turn out the way we expected. I'm glad everyone else enjoys the place though.
Vacation Experience
Service was great! Food was tasty and Leslie, our waitress, was amazing. We found it on the Internet and the menu was enticing. We would definitely visit again.

I've seen Mustards Grill plenty of times. It's time. Today, I'm in Napa again this Friday night. I'm finally here. It feels good to be back in Wine Country for Labor day, 3 day weekend. It's beautiful out here. I'm just enjoying the scenary, taking in this view, and enjoying life. When I got here it was packed, there happen to be a Party held here tonight, it was so loud. The decor looks elegant, cozy, American, and I appreciate all the eclectic Art. I knew exactly what I wanted. This is a Grilled Hanger Steak with Onion Jam, French Fries, and Watercress Dip. I don't care what anybody says, I had my Steak cooked medium. The Bread is made slightly different than a lot of other places, the chewy texture is very distinct. The Steak was fabulous, grilled to perfection, and incredibly juicy. I can really tell they took their time preparing the Onion Jam, it was out of this world, and complimented the Steak so well. The Watercress Dip reminded me of a sophisticated Spinach Dip. The Fries were absolutely cooked to perfection, crunchy, but not overdone. That was one of the best version of Steak Frites I ever had. I give this 4.5 stars.

We looked forward to a return to this restaurant on our stay in wine country. We honeymooned here 38 years ago and came to this same place back then. We had reservations for 12:40 and arrived within 5 minutes. There was a decent line which we passed by to our table. Our hostess brought us a severing of sparkling as a thank you for returning and celebrating our anniversary. Our server Jason filled our water glasses and asked if we had any questions on the menu. We selected the Sweet Corn Tamale appetizer to share. It was well designed and a perfect temperature. I ordered the Crazy Good Chicken Wings which was a large portion of meaty wings. They had delicious & spicy sauce baked on. My wife ordered the Grilled Avocado Tostada salad and enjoyed every bite. After having our fill, we selected the Lemon-Lime Tart desert to share. The size of the Merengue turned some heads as it was delivered to our table. The service staff were phenomenal. There were a couple of "loud" tables which became evident with the lower tone after they departed. Was much easier to have a conversation! All in was $97
We love eating here with friends or with family.
The food is so good even for take out/ or for a picnic at the park. Ordered the pasta and pork chops again - delicious!
A Loud but Yummy place to enjoy!
A double Birthday celebration with good food and wine. We were in the right place. Greeted with Happy Birthdays and welcomes, we loved the spirit of the staff. Choosing the wine was a task..so many choices as you can see by the picture, but we loved their humorous take on it. Food was equally a hard choice as everything coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful but we did have a mound of their yummy onion rings as an appetizer. Dinner was so good and our waitress was lovely. Also many others brought over dishes and we appreciated the attention. To top off a great meal...we got a couple of candles on a funny Birthday plate and after blowing them out and making wishes, we 4 shared a huge lemon tart..My advice is to get one! So now the only con...and it is a big one. Sadly the noise level was at times unbearable. We ain't that old that hearing is an issue but we were doing a lot of Whats!! and lip reading to the point of being uncomfortable. Our sweet waitress totally understand and says it happens a lot. I certainly would recommend this place for its wonderful dishes, wines and staff...but maybe go at lunch ..on a week day?
Fantastic menu, good service and cute ambiance.
The menu has variety for everyone (vegetarian, pescatarian, meat lovers) with diverse flavors but also keeping some basics for those who want something simple. The one thing I was surprised about what the fact that even though we had a reservation, we weren't sat at a better table. There was an open booth when we got there that remained open the whole time, as well as other tables.

They took me off the waitlist TWICE.
I called the first time and Karen told me they accidentally took me off. Then I checked my waist list status again after waiting 2 hours and they took me off the second time and said they called me to tell me my table was ready. I never received a call or text which they said was weird because they "tried" to. Hostess was rude and told me it'd be an hour long wait hoping to discourage me from waiting and getting on the waitlist.If they can't offer basic kindness and respect it's a no for me. Do your self a favor and don't dine at this establishment.

Very disappointed that we were told they would not serve us for our 40th wedding anniversary. I'd made a reservation a few days ahead and specifically said we were bringing our pup. A few hours before our reservation, I got a call saying that their patio was not open and that we could not eat there with our dog. Did not make us feel very good and ruined our plans.
Consistent food and service
Consistent food and service, always eat here when in the area...I would eat the Famous Lemon-Lime Tart, ridiculously tall brown sugar meringue, candied lemon peel and be happy...crispy calamari is always excellent. Rabbit when available is excellent, pork chop excellent, duck great and hamburgers consistently excellent...
Despite recommendations, our first time here was not great.
This place was recommended and we had great reviews. I had high hopes. We don’t need a lot of attention server-wise but ours was less than attentive. He checked in maybe once after our food was served and when he delivered our check. When we arrived, I ordered a beer I was interested in trying. Our server brought out a different beer than what was ordered and left. I asked him about it and he said they were out of what I ordered so he replaced it with something else without asking. Then they charged higher than what was listed. The pork chop was recommended twice by others on our Napa trip. For me the char was good, the mustard sauce was good, but the pork chop was undercooked and tough. I preferred what I can cook on my Weber charcoal grill. The pickled cabbage side was good. My wife had sea bass which was good. Her side of white beans and chorizo was not great. So our hopes here were high, but for us in this particular night, it was a miss.
Fantastic Experience at Mustard’s!
My wife and I had dinner here while we were in Napa. The atmosphere was great, the service was great and the food was outstanding. We would highly recommend Mustard’s. The day after dinner we were on our way back to San Francisco and my wife realized that she left her jacket at the restaurant from the night before. We called the restaurant and the person who answered immediately recognized the jacket and agreed to mail it to our out of state address. I’d call that going way out of the way for a customer!
Too much hype
It’s an old favorite with the locals but I do not get it. The tables are too close together so there’s a sense of awkwardness hearing the conversations on the next table. The menu is bistro style but really there’s nothing special about the food. There infamous fried onions will feed 4 - we asked for a half order but wax sternly told no. The wine list is huge but it’s all 4x cost - ridiculously expensive.

This restaurant was recommended but I did not enjoy the salmon. The onion rings were very good and can be easily shared. The cornbread was also delicious.

A must when in Napa!!! Hands down I can not wait to get back to Napa to dine here again. Every single item was delicious! Our drinks, apps, entrees were great. If I wasn't so full I wanted dessert! **Make a reservation far in advance**

Mo was our server and the absolute best. Fast efficient and even reminded us when we had to leave for our next tasting. The onion rings, corn bread, crab cakes and Mac and cheese were to die for. Loved the tostada too. Will be back!!

We stopped in here for lunch while doing a few winery tastings in the area. It's a great lunch spot. We started off with the calamari which was lightly fried and so flavorful. It was topped with a slaw that contained a curry dressing which was a very unique touch but paired really well with the calamari. It added a nice pop! For my entree, I ordered one of the daily specials which was the lamb burger. It was topped with a fancy lettuce, olives, and feta cheese, the perfect Mediterranean flavor profile. Served medium with a side of fries- it was a knockout. My wife ordered the adult grilled cheese and crab cakes and split it with our friend. It was a perfect lunch for two ladies. Crab cake was fresh and just to die for. They also had great things to say about the adult grilled cheese served with a side salad of fresh greens. This place is like an upscale diner with plenty of tasty options as well as a plethora of wines and cocktails.

All the years Mustards has not missed a beat, always excellent. This time I was adventurous and ordered a Grilled Cheese sandwich. Menu called it adult and that it was. Truly deliciousness with piquillo peppers (spelling) and a couple of different varieties of cheeses. Very yummy and very filling. I only ate half so I could have their yummy lemon meringue pie. Meringue doesn't usually thrill me but this meringue is all deliciousness and brilliant. Our Server has been at Mustards for 19 years and feels like an old (he isn't old) is friendly and attentive. I love this place.

We finally got to try this place and it lives up to its reputation. It's good old American food, but elevated and modernized. The staff was friendly and attentive. Earlier in the day we were booted from a winery because kids were not welcomed, but Mustards Grill was just the opposite. There's a kids menu, and the staff made sure their food came out first. The decor and table settings were elegant. The food was delicious and fresh. Make sure you get the corn bread. It's moist and sweet. Here are a few stand outs: + Famous Mongolian port chops (5/5) - plump, moist, flavorful, yummy. Our 3-year-old ditched his chicken nuggets once he got a taste of this and couldn't get enough. + Truck stop deluxe (5/5) - today they had a 14 oz rib eye smothered in about 1/2 cup of butter. This was decadent and pricey. It was perfectly prepared and melts in your mouth. + Meatloaf (4/5) - this was a hearty slice of meatloaf with carrots mixed in. It was delicious and large enough for 2 to share. It came with snap peas which were delicious and crunchy. The only disappointment was the mashed potatoes. It wasn't very creamy and by the end of the meal, I could pick up the entire mashed potato serving like a pancake with my fork. Overall, we all enjoyed a very elegant meal in a beautiful setting.

We've come to Mustards Grill many times and brought visitors here. The food is always good. For appetizers we had the delicious corn tamales and the Mac and cheese, which was surprisingly bland. We ordered the special of the day , prime NY steak, which was cooked medium rare, juicy, flavorful and tender. We also had the delicious baby back ribs - fall off the bones, nice smokey flavor and we did not need to have the extra BBQ sauce. The meatloaf tasted ok. We loved the honey cornbread and should have ordered more. The Cocktail of the Day Margarita was refreshing and had enough alcohol. The restaurant was crowded for a Wednesday lunch with lots of lively conversations. After lunch, we visited the gardens and appreciated all the vegetables we know was used for their dishes, farm to table!

When you drive by this place, it looks like a typical road side diner. Ignore that impression. Go in and take a seat, and find some epicurean delights, and a wine list which would make some restaurants in Illinois green with envy. We made a reservation based on a recommendation from the Beau Lieu Vineyard during a tour. We incorrectly judged a book by it's cover, so to speak. Mea Culpa. Oh man, MEA CULPA. The menu isn't huge, but it makes up for that with interesting dishes. The back of the menu has wines by the glass, a sheet twice the size of the menu has two columns of white wine on the front, and 3 columns of red wine on the back. I'm talking several hundred bottles. Service was punctual, polite, and attentive. The water glass didn't stay empty for long. We started with their Ahi Crackers, which were just great! The crackers were thin and crisp. My wife tried to cut hers up - nope, don't do that. The Ahi is a very high grade, you can bite off some of the Ahi and a cracker. We both ordered their Mongolian Pork Chop, which had a light Mongolian barbeque flavor. It was large, thick, properly cooked, nicely seasoned, and tasted great. It was on a bed of mashed potatoes and had red cabbage which was a little sweet on the side. Yum! We asked for a wine suggestion, and our waiter suggested a Cabernet Franc (GL Durban) by the glass. I was impressed with the wine's freshness and mouth feel - it was just good. You really need to make a reservation and try this place out. Three suggestions from winery people, all were great!

We slid in here without a reservation after the lunch rush on a weekday.There were quite a few tables open and we were pleased to be seated by a window. The brisket and lamb burger were above average. We ordered a starter, entrees, several glasses of wine, coffees and dessert. The overall dining experience was lackluster. Things were not placed on our table, rather they were rudely and haphazardly tossed on the table by our server. We were "dressed" for lunch and tried to be affable but, yikes, we did not warrant the intentional snarky diner service.

Mustards is a Yountville staple and the perfect place for lunch between wine tasting. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance because this place is popular, even for lunch midweek. Being in the wine region, it's no surprise that the restaurant has an extensive wine selection. For lunch I ordered the Cesar salad with chicken and some corn bread. The corn bread portion is super generous, so I ended up taking half of it home. My server was very attentive. The manager also came by and asked if I was enjoying everything. He even offered to box up my extras and offered me coffee and dessert. I declined the coffee and dessert due to timing and being full. When my server returned, she placed the dessert menu in front of me and asked me again about ordering dessert even spending some time going through my options. It felt a little disjointed, like the two should have coordinated since I had already refused dessert with the manager. But it's nothing that would stop me from returning here.

We loved the Porkchop, Hanger Steak and the Lemon Pie Dessert. The service, attention to detail and ambiance was just lovely. I would go back again.

The Crab cakes are awesome.
They came with arugula to compliment their taste. The calamari is now my favorite in the Valley. It is topped with a coleslaw of carrots, peppers, and cilantro.
This place is an institution for a reason.
Dishes are creative, thoughtful, and well executed. It goes without saying that their signature dishes, like the seafood tostada, are delicious. But the same care is taken even with less glamorous sides. For example, we took a chance on the rotating Eat Your Vegetables side, which was described to us as boiled kale that day. Didn't sound like the most exciting thing, but it was cooked to the perfect texture, tender yet with plenty of bite, and well flavored with garlic and lemon. For an upscale restaurant, the portions are extremely generous. We probably should have left without dessert since we were already stuffed, but were glad that we made room for the towering meringue and lemon-lime pie. Finally, service is friendly, efficient, and down to earth. Despite being a walk-in on a busy weekend, we didn't have to wait long at any point. I can't wait to come back.
On Valentine's Day, we went to Mustard's Grill for lunch.
My better half ordered Misco Black Cod, which was seasoned very good. I had Pork Chop which was very tasty. We both really enjoyed Honey Corn Bread that's very tasteful. We both give our meal (5) Stars.

5 stars. Server, 3 to 4 stars. Had to send back the two burger orders, requested medium, received too rare. Dessert 5 stars. The lemon meringue was off the hook. Would go back for dessert only.

A perfect place to celebrate any occasion and of course eat pork chops (with beautiful grill marks). The pork chops aren't the only yummy item on the menu. We tried the crispy calamari curried slaw which had just the perfect amount of curry flavoring. Every other table had the onion rings or the calamari, just can't go wrong with either, and I was more in the mood for the calamari. The onion rings are on our must try for my next visit. We also ordered the truck stop deluxe. What is there not to love about a perfectly cooked steak topped with butter? We didn't have room to enjoy the lemon lime tart, which every table ordered, except us. Will be back again for the onion rings and lemon lime tart. This experience was for a celebration and we were welcomed with champagne to toast to the occasion. Thank you for that special touch Mustards Grill. We appreciate your hospitality.
Steer clear of Mustards
Traveling SFO airport Term G, stopped at Mustards for dinner. The only thing good was the beer. Starter wings were dry, ribs were all fat, BLT was a 2 out of 10, salad dressing was bitter and consistency of mashed potatoes. By far the worst, and most expensive meal we’ve had in a very long time. Save your $ and go to Burger King.
Friendly excellence
My wife evaluates restaurants by the food, I care more about service and atmosphere. Together we find some pretty great places. Mustards is one! I won’t describe the food beyond “excellent” - but I will note that the greeting at host stand, and service at the bar (we walked in without reservations and dined at the bar) was exceptional. I asked the bartender to recommend a wine to pair with my meal and she suggested the lowest priced glass on the by-the-glass list. And it was perfect. Great night - we will be back.
Rarely disappointed, especially when recommended on TripAdvisor, but this was a big disappointment
We were looking forward to going to Mustard’s Grill based on reviews on TripAdvisor. However….we were very disappointed. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich and the bacon on the sandwich was thicker than the piece of chicken. The beer he ordered was 6 months expired (the manufacturer actually said to let them know if their beer was served past expiration). The waiter seemed less than interested in us. We love going to dinner, especially on vacation, but let’s just say we were done and paid for our check within 30 minutes. As always, take what you like and leave the rest but I have never left a bad rating on TripAdvisor. There’s always a first time….

We had heard about Mustards Grill from everyone we talked to in Napa. We made reservations at 1:00pm and got lucky for a 5:30 reservation, place was packed with customers waiting for tables. The food did not disappoint. Had the famous magnolia pork chop which is what they are known for. The crab cakes and calamari were perfect appetizers Great experience highly recommend. We were able to bring are own Napa wine for a small cork fee of $25.

Cozy locals spot for lunch or dinner. Our lunch was started with hot cup of clam chowder full of tender clams and great tasting thick, hot and creamy sauce. Next was the great crab cakes crunchy on the outside and soft creamy filling. You have to try the Corn Bread too. Excellent choices of wine by the glass at reasonable prices. Great service and views of the hills outside. Enjoy
MUST eat at MUSTards!
A must eat restaurant every time we visit. We’ve been coming to Napa for 40 years from the East Coast and always- without fail- have at least one meal at Mustards!
Really good food.
We had heard about Mustards Grill before arriving in Yountville, so we made reservations way ahead of time. good thing we did. the place was packed with customers waiting for tables. Really nice hostess seated us right away. she also brought us our drink order, unfortunately, the drinks were not that good, margaritas and mai tai. The food did not disappoint. Chicken wings were great as was the duck, rabbit and pork chops which is what they are known for. The crab cakes were so-so and small. The cobbler wasn,t that good either. Should have tried the lime meringue which they are known for. We lost our server completely when a 6 top came in and took all of his attention. All in all, a very good restaurant right off the main Hwy.
Wonderful Dinner
Many times I have read reviews before going to eat at a restaurant and have left disappointed because the food did not live up to the expectations that others reported. This was not the case with Mustards Grill! Our meal was one of the highlights of our trip. Everything we had was amazing and cooked to perfection. We left happy! As we were flying home from SanFransisco, we were so excited to also see Mustards Grill at the airport so we stopped in there too for a last bite. Both meals were outstanding and memorable.

1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Mustards Grill Napa to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Mustards Grill Napa!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
