Nisos Mediterranean Chicago Reviews
Worth a short taxi ride from Athens
Worth a short taxi ride from central Athens. Out by the super yachts. Great food, service and vibe. Fresh fish is relatively expense, but other items on the menu are better value. All the food is excellent.
Choose carefully.
Fresh catch fish was good, but the squid was extremely tough and almost impossible to eat. Service staff very friendly.
Insultive unprofessional staff
Dirty glasses, mediocre food and some of staff very rude. I reported to the manager but was passive and indeferrent. Such a Shame for a Greek restaurant with this potential of an excellent location. Will Never visit again!!
Just delicious - especially the fresh grilled calamaris ! Great service and the most beautiful view on the harbor!
Delicious sea food (especially the grilled fresh calamaris!), great service (special greetings to Seif ;) ) great grilled vegetables and the most beautiful view on the harbor!
Highly recommended!
Very good address, very good dishes, great welcome, the service is very friendly and the wine selection is great! Highly recommended!!
Worst meal in Athens
Worst meal during my entire trip in Athens Charged 6 euros for a stale bread basket and olive oil which I never ordered bit were on the table when I sat down Food had absolutely no flavor. Open large bottle of water without asking me if I wanted it and then charged me for it Rude service to top off the experience Stay away
Looking at dreams
The food was good but not spectacular, the surroundings in the marina are great and I think the prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a look.
Expensive and not worth it
Very expensive and not tasty :( We took shrimps , salmon, and seafood risotto- non of these were good. The Greek salad was fine, and also the view
Great dinner
Dinner at Nisos was amazing. We were sat right on the harbour front. Flisvos Marina is a great setting, especially in the evening. We had the fried feta to start which was delicious. Our mains were the crawfish orzo and seafood risotto. The portions were very generous with plenty of seafood, all cooked to perfection. The waiters were always very helpful.
Expensive
It was accessible but costly and created expectations that haven't been met. The taste was very average.

I went to Nisos to celebrate a friend's birthday.
The resturant is beautiful! It really feels like you are transported to the Mediterranean. We had a wonderful waiter named Shane. He was very knowledgeable about about the whole menu. For starters the table shared Horiatiki Salad and the Octopus. The whipped feta in the salad was delicious. The grilled octopus was very flavorful and the shallot chutney was a nice addition. I will say everyone agreed that our appetizers more than our entrees. I had the prawns with orzo. This dish was a bit too salty for me. A couple of other people had the lamb shank, which fell right off the bone but wasn't very seasoned. The wine and mocktails were good. Next I will probably go for drinks and apps.

Amazing food with an interesting twist to just about every dish. Highly recommend the sea bass carpaccio (pictured) and the tarokapeta (likely spelled wrong). Really great service and atmosphere!
I had heard mixed reviews on Nisos, so I was interested to
I had heard mixed reviews on Nisos, so I was interested to see how my experience would play out, but this place earns 5 stars from me! My friends and I received a friendly welcome, and we were promptly seated on a busy Friday night. The wine selection was fantastic, and the waitress made the perfect recommendation for our table. The ambiance was loud and lively, but we were still able to have great conversations at our booth! For dinner, we shared several dishes for our table of 5, and we ordered the whole salt crusted sea bass for the main entree. They prepare the fish at the table, and it is quite the event! The octopus and tiropita were my favorite dishes on the menu. This restaurant is well worth the visit with the beautiful decor and friendly service!
This is a poorly managed restaurant.
They have a lot of great pieces, but it just doesn't all come together. Things started off fine, we got a round of drinks then put in our food order. It was then over an hour until we were able to get our next round of drinks (which were almost all just glasses of wine) and an hour and a half until we got our food. It was a busy night, but it just seemed like they were using people oddly. One server but multiple food runners. Two hostesses standing at the front desk. Their kitchen is open and looked fairly packed, we thought maybe they were short staffed, but it really seemed like they had a lot of people. They had two bartenders. The food really was good, they had a chicken dish with maybe some whipped feta that was delicious. But if it wouldn't have been my friends birthday I would have bounced before even getting the entree. Like even if the food would have taken forever but we could still drink and chat that would have been fine - but really we just spent about and hour sitting there hungry with empty glasses, trying to catch a server's eye.
Love the service and food beautiful design the atmosphere
Love the service and food beautiful design the atmosphere is nice .Definitely will back again
It's gorgeous and expensive, a must try, for the experience.
It is absolutely beautiful inside. It says on their website they designed the restaurant inspired by the sunset shores of the Mediterranean, and it is that to a T! Once you are inside, you can't help but admire the design and decor. The restaurant is two stories and both floors are executed perfectly. The customer service we experienced was outstanding from everyone, the door man, the hostess, all of the servers, waitresses and bartenders. Even when we were leaving everyone was wishing us a good night and thanked us for coming. Seating is comfortable. They have high top seating near the bars on both floors and then regular small top table seating. It is a pricey experience, but the ambiance is special. To me, it's a perfect restaurant to try the experience and celebrate a birthday or special moment. The menu is family style and meant to be shared. Every single dish we had was delicious and full of mediterranean flavors. Our waitress told us to tell her what we were thinking of ordering, and then she paired the items to come out at specific times.
We loved nisos.
Food and drinks were great. The tables are close together which is normally fine, but we sat next to a couple that argued the entire time which was weird. Will definitely be back!
Came here for a 4-person birthday dinner.
The place is beautifully lit, and just an overall vibe. There are two floors and they both absolutely transport you out of Chicago. We shared all dishes but if I'm being honest, we stretched the food a bit thin. We ordered the lamb (10/10), prawns (6/10), the sea salt bath sea bass (8/10), tzatziki sauce (9/10), the seabrem ceviche (10/10) and I wish I could I left full. The sea bass is a good amount to share it's a full fish and can serve 4. Everything else really only serves two maybe three. We ordered drinks as well, nothing truly special for the price but still tasty nevertheless.

I entered Nisos and I was awestruck! Whoever designed the interior of this place must be a mastermind. They have two floors, the lower floor is my favorite. We were seated upstairs. This place was packed on a Friday night. The service was a little slow given the rush but the food and cocktails were so good! We tried the Tiropita and the Airbag potatoes. The Tiropita was amazing but I wasn't a fan of the Airbag potatoes. They were too oily for me. We then tried the Sea Bass Carpaccio. This dish was delicious and beautiful! They added red tapioca chips on the top for more flair. The Circe cocktail was my personal favorite, but apparently the God of the sun cocktail is the most popular which I wasn't a fan of.

The place it's so beautiful it's making you feel you're in Greece. The layout of the restaurant it's very particular. The lady that served was was very friendly ,helpful and nice. The brunch food it's very well made and with a particular touch of esthetic. The are various flavors and dishes for any kind of people. Can't wait to go back for dinner so I can try the cheesecake

The food is great, space is cool and service is great too - it is on the expensive side though. And they need to be careful not to come off as pretentious.
An absolutely stunning restaurant! The decor was so
An absolutely stunning restaurant! The decor was so beautiful, you felt like you were transported somewhere else. Finally got to try this great deal during CRW and I had no regrets! Everything was so fresh, so flavorful, and so unique down to the plates used. Our server was so sweet and recommended amazing cocktails as well as appetizers. Highly recommend for a little pricier night out or a celebration!
This was the absolute worst dining experience.
We had an 8 o'clock reservation and they made us wait until nine to seat us. When we asked the staff about our table during the one hour wait, they were incredibly rude. And after all that the food wasn't even worth the wait. It's a completely overhyped and overpriced restaurant.
This place is great for a group dinner! Food and drinks
This place is great for a group dinner! Food and drinks were delicious! We ordered a few items of the menu to share and it was a good amount of food. Their steak is amazing! Definitely recommend if you like steak! There was 5 of us and our total came out to around $530. It is pricey
Disappointing experience.
Brought my wife to Nisos for our 2 year anniversary and first night out, away from our newborn. We were the first couple there, ordered first, but the 3 couples that arrived after us received their appetizers before us. We overheard the server telling the table next to us that they mistakenly gave our only 2 appetizers to them and they could finish it free of charge. Meanwhile we kept waiting for 45 minutes with no apology and no food... On top of that, after ordering our main course and waiting for several minutes, the server came to our table and said they ran out of the dish my wife ordered (moussakas). I will say, the sea bass was delicious (thankfully as it's+$100). Drinks are pricey but nothing special. Overall ambiance and decor is nice too but the poor service leaves me no choice but to give them 2 stars. If you want to treat your person to a special and romantic greek dinner, there are way better options in west loop and river north.
Great ambience and decor, decent service, food far below
Great ambience and decor, decent service, food far below expectations. Just another overpriced place on restaurant row with subpar food.
I was nervous about the mixed reviews but we came here for
I was nervous about the mixed reviews but we came here for lunch/brunch on a Sunday and I was so impressed. First and foremost parking in this area was a nightmare so try to not drive yourself if you can. Valet seems to be less common down Randolph lately so the closest we found was at soho house around the corner for a way too high price tag. The ambiance of Nisos is very clean, classy, and elegant while serving a lot of nicely presented but comforting dishes. All the small details of this restaurant like their plates and bowls, as well as the bathroom design are impressive and feel like you're stepping into an environment that's very cohesive and immersive. We had the eggs Benedict, omelette with crispy shallots, avocado toast, and Nisos bowl and were blown away by everything. The omelette was huge enough for many people to split and portion sizes in general were really nice for the price. They filled up waters really quickly and we felt service was great as well. Definitely will be coming back!
Overpriced, unflavoured food and cheating mocktail
The wife and I took a stroll and ended up sitting in a bench by the sea and just wanted some nobbles to go with a drink to fully enjoy the experience. Being charged for a bottle of water and 2x bread was a little surprising, but what was far more surprising was the general lack of everything. The service was minimal, the flavour was very definitly lacking, id bet a small fortune they stiffed me on the alcoholic content of my watered down mojito, they offered us olive oil then totally didnt give usnany and ignored us afterwards until it was time to pay the bill and yet all this could have been forgiven except at โฌ40 it was the most expensive snack we had the entire time we were in Greece. I would say avoid, but the fact that the only people eating there were rich foreigners I think that people have already got this message 0ut ahead of me.
Great food with a nice ambience on the marina.
I loved this restaurant. The food was excellent. We ordered the grilled shrimp, fried anchovies, and red mallet. All were excellent. The restaurant decor and the views of the marina created a nice ambience. Would definitely come back on my next trip to Athens.
Outstanding food, perfect location!
I usually donโt write reviews but this restaurant deserves a 5 stars + rating. Weโve been on a business trip in Athens in October and revered a table for lunch. Amazing view, perfect weather. The food was so good and the staff, especially 1 guy, was so nice and helpful, they arranged a quick try โeverythingโ seafood lunch for us. So for sure we decided to book a table for Saturday night too, our last night in Athens. The restaurant planned a full dinner with multiple starters and salads, squid and soup, even got lobster for us and everything was just amazing! Outstanding quality. Amazing, nice and friendly staff, everything was just perfect, everyone loved the food!! Would go back every time when in Athens!!! Many thanks to the waiters and chefs for this perfect night!
Delicious fresh fish prepared with love โค๏ธ
5/5 amazing service. Our lovely waiter was very attentive. Sorry we didnโt get his name! We were shown the catch of the day, and it was mouthwatering! I had the crayfish - melt in your mouth delicious and my partner the sea bream - equally lovely. The kids has a pork tenderloin! We were treated to a Greek local drink Chios (from the maple tree) ๐คค and some yummy desserts! Best meal of my holiday so far! Definitely recommend for local exquisitely fresh and well prepared fish.. but also plenty choice for kids who donโt eat fish !
Nisos Marina P. Falirou
Great place for a business dinner. Very decent Greek seafood while the grilled fish was equally fresh and tasty. Very friendly, accommodated (and Tourist oriented) staff
