Brooklyn's Best Restaurants that are most frequently booked by customers of Olmsted
😍 5/5 - MVP

Olmsted is the MVP of restaurants in New York. Chef Baxtrom, who trained under two of the most highly regarded names in the business, serves up some of the most flavorful, creative food I've ever enjoyed, regardless of price point. But his ability to do this without having a single item on the menu above 24 dollars is simply remarkable. Furthermore, the lack of high priced options and pretentiousness makes Olmsted extremely comfortable for a relaxed meal any day of the week. Three of their dishes from my most recent experience at Olmsted stand out: delicious squash rings served on an actual tree - of sorts; extremely basic crab rangoon, with a very simply but equisite spin, served humbly, and for fun in a Chinese take-out container no less; and the most delicious duck dish - served two ways, both incredible - that I've ever encountered in my life. Beyond this, the service is superb, stacked with serious foodies who will happily offer their honest opinions. The drink menu is outstanding, with simply labeled cocktails disguising brilliant subtlety. And the atmosphere is as good as it gets, feeling like you're eating in the chef's garden; and that's before you go out into the actual back garden of the restaurant, where you can roast smores, keeping warm under blankets on a cold winter's night. Olmsted is simply amazing, and easily one of my 3 favorite restaurants in the world.
