Omakase By Yanaga Philadelphia Reviews
Man, I LOVED this place when they first opened.
I went there once a week, told everyone I know! Then the quality started declining. I tried their omakase which was underwhelming. Recently a friend went and said they had improved/switched chefs etc. Tonight at work we ordered on Grubhub. $140 wort

I'm new to the area and I'm so happy that I found Izakaya! We went on a Monday night; it wasn't too busy. I started with the Tea Time to drink and it was delicious. Extremely refreshing. My partner and I shared the spicy tuna crispy rice. This is one

Came in for a quick bite and a drink on a Monday night with a friend. The restaurant was quaint and quiet, not a lot of people were there which was expected since it was a Monday night. We sat at the bar and ordered miso soup, pork baos, and hamachi
The WORST service I've ever had.
The bartender was not pleasant, she made me feel wrong for asking about a cocktail. The server was the WOAT, he was not personable, he took forever to come over to table, never checked in just cleared plates and dropped the check . The staff made me
The ambiance and staff are nice.
Typically have no or little wait time. The sushi is good quality but the selection is limited. I've never seen hand rolls like the ones here, it's more like a mini sushi taco. It was good but felt small.
Asian, primarily Japanese.
The food and service here is excellent. Something for everyone. Impeccably prepared and served. Small place. Do not take reservations. Best to get there as they open.

The food was delicious and the ambience was very nice.
I visited this restaurant during the afternoon of a weekday. It wasn't busy, and the waitress was very attentive. The only thing that i would suggest is for the waitress i had to try more items on the menu, so that indecisive guests (like myself) cou

Heard about this place on instagram, and I will say it is a hidden gem!! Our server Blake was phenomenal - super friendly and guided us to some yummy happy hour drinks (jelly bean). Truly 10/10 server, and we will definitely be back again. For food,
Came here with some friends.
Made a reservation. When we walked in it took a few awkward minutes to be acknowledged due to how close the front door is to where 3 people working behind the bar made eye contact and ignored us until I spoke up. I was super excited to come here,

Stumbled upon this place and the vibe was really nice.
The crab rangoon had real crab, yet did not taste good (if you know you know). For the price the sushi was ok, but it could have been better. Most likely won't be back.
Consistently great food.
It's my number one choice for happy hour. So many great bites. Love their sakiwide special. The seating can be a bit awkward if you're at the bench seating along the wall, but that's a small critique against the overall experience. It's great for a d

The food took forever to arrive, and when we finally did get to eat, it was surprisingly meh considering how expensive it was. Really don't recommend this place.
Great atmosphere.
Come with a great comfy temperature. Wait staff very accommodating Food was great and fresh across the board. Sushi was flavorful and fresh. Appetizers were great Great stop. Worth the price.
Birthday party ruined by disappointing service.
We had a reservation for eight people at 7:30, we were not seated until 8:15. Ramen, sushi, and plates all arrived at wildly different times over the hour and a half we were there. Birthday girl got her food after most of the party had finished eatin

Been here a few times for happy hour and I feel like you can really get a bang for your buck. I personally opt for the off happy hour cocktails and concentrate on the food. The tuna rice crisps are favorite item as well as the chirashi bowls which ar

It's hard to recommend this place.
If a restaurant is going to charge a premium price they need to provide at least generous portions or spectacular product. Izakaya does neither. If you're not in the area don't make this a destination spot as you will likely be disappointed.
We saw the hype and decided to try.
Good service, fair prices, okay food. We had high expectations but was a bit disappointed instead. Our fave was probably the brussel sprouts and least fave was duck onigiri.. sushi was average, nothing special.
Japanese food fried and seasoned to resemble sports bar
Japanese food fried and seasoned to resemble sports bar wings...basically. I would not call this an Izakaya personally.
