Ambiance is really nice and drinks are good! We ordered the octopus dish, wings, and rosé tteokbokki. Octopus was probably our least favorite.
Be the first to ReplyStopped by with a group of four on a Tuesday night.
Since we arrived an hour before closing we were able to be seated right away. When we sat down, the kitchen was already closed so we just ordered some drinks. Two of my friends got their drinks right away but mine and my other friends' drink got forgotten and we didn't get them until we asked another waitress. I got the EACH DAY GETS BETTER Mocktail which was quite tasty but just a bit sweet. All in all, a nice location to meet up with others.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was definitely good.
The staff were very polite and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was pretty.

Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, great service and atmosphere.
Some items might sell out towards the end of the night, but everything is delicious.

I came here for a galentines dinner and was super pleased by the food and service here! It is the perfect spot for a nice dinner hangout with friends. Our waiter was super friendly and we would laugh and make conversation together. We got the oysters, bone marrow, kimchi fried rice, and pork shank and everything was delicious! The pork shank was so huge and worth the price. We had four people but there was still so much meat left, we had to take it to-go. Would definitely come back again!

It's really loud in here! Good for groups, you will be pretty cozy and close in proximity to everyone else who is in here. We were seated by the kitchen area where servers were passing by to get utensils, so there was a bit of moving around whenever someone needed a utensil. I recommend asking for a booth or tables that don't have chairs in the way of the kitchen. Service was good and it was super busy in here. We got the squid fries, kimchi fried rice, and the soy garlic wings. The wings are very small and definitely on the skinnier side so I recommend doubling the portion of wings you'd like to order!
Be the first to ReplyPhenomenal food, outstanding cocktails.
The service was welcoming and the combination created such a fun experience
Be the first to ReplySo glad we delayed leaving.
Arrived in a Tuesday after work, around 6 pm. The bar and tables were booked and no reservation. We stuck around tor a few moments and two seats at the bar opened up. Sooo glad we stayed. After a moment they were able to accommodate our religious food restrictions. John and we're great, supplies amazing drinks and great customer service. Duck and Wgyyu were amazing, cheeses and fruits were fresh. The seafood tokbokki we delicious so flavorful and lots of seafood. All in all. Can't wait to be back and try the rest of the menu
Be the first to ReplyThis review is solely based on their service.
My friend and I arrived at around 5:30PM and waited to be seated. There were 2 servers and a bartender but no one acknowledged us even though the place wasn't crowded whatsoever (there were only a few customers sitting at the bar). We kept making eye contact with the workers and tried to flag them for a seat, but ended up leaving after clearly being ignored for some time. It was a really bizarre experience especially because they have such great reviews and we couldn't understand why we were treated this way, but this is enough for me to not want to risk another trip to this place.
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance is sexy and aesthetically pleasing.
There were a lot of people and it was hustling and bustling. The food was okay - I didn't love the dubokki or the kimchi fried rice... It just tasted almost tooooo fusion-y? The service was good - the waiter came by often to check on us and was very accommodating.

You gotta love this place for what it is, a swanky bar for drinks and socializing. The food is lacking, especially the dishes that aren't Korean, but the drinks are superb and the bartenders are beyond attentive. They take care of you like a baby, with a napkin when you need it, a warning that the dish is hot or a change of plates. They always have their eye on you to make your experience as cozy as possible. If you must eat though, the oysters are fresh and tasty, and the Korean classic chicken wings are the perfect combination of crispy, sweet and spicy. The uni bibimbap sounds exciting but the uni was very bitter and the dish overly oily and lacking in flavor. The gambas dish even more so, if you can imagine.
Be the first to ReplyIf you're a foodie, this is your jam.
They have an ever-changing menu but at the time I had visited they were known for their pork shank and whole chicken. Unfortunately they ran out of the chicken, but the pork shank was phenomenal, as was everything else to be honest. Great cocktail menu as well. Fantastic service. It's a small-ish restaurant so make a reservation with 4 or less people for best results.I highly recommend coming here if you're looking for new foods and great flavors!
Be the first to ReplyWe went visit on a week day evening.
We ordered the oysters on happy hour so it was half price. Very very fresh oysters. Also we ordered the Uni bibimbap a bit too oily with too much sesame oil inside. The pork shank is very soft and cooked well. A bit like fusion with Korean style and American mustard sauce. Yummy but you would need some beer or soda otherwise too oily.

We started with the beef tartare which had was a soft and for some, a little too gooey. Overall, it was interesting to try once as it has a nice crunch with the pine nuts and Korean pears. Next, we had the rose teokbokki which was my favorite. You can't taste the rose, but it's like tomato sauce with teokbokki. Like a Korean take on tomato pasta. I liked Da Green Monstah cocktail which had matcha in it and was light. We also had the chicken wings which were not bad as well. Overall, I recommend the teokbokki the most. The place is good for a date night or a friends night out, where you can head up to the Osamil Upstairs bar. I made a reservation for both!
Be the first to ReplyMy friend and I dropped by here for a little happy hour
My friend and I dropped by here for a little happy hour before dinner. We made a reservation for their opening time and were seated shortly after arriving. Soon after, it was packed in here. Food & Drinks:My friend and I ordered the fries and the sweet potato fries to share. The sweet potato fries are actually more like yam fries (they're not the orange colored ones as they're korean sweet potatoes), but they're still very good. The regular fries were crispy and well-seasoned. The mayo dip with both fries was great.I ordered the Osamil cocktail for my drink and thought it was great. I also tried my friend's Seoul-Mate (cute name), and it was strong but good. My friend also ordered a half-dozen oysters. They're $9 for the half dozen, so it's a good deal I'd say!Service:Service was friendly and quick. The servers continuously kept taking our menu away and we had to keep asking for it back to see if anything interested us. That was a little weird but nothing too bad. TL;DR - good fries, good cocktails & remember to make a reservation
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite Korean restaurants in the city .
It's always very busy so I recommend you to make a reservation in advance or give them a call before you head over there. I love the atmosphere of this restaurant and the service is amazing. Food is definitely 5/5. I'm a huge fan off their Classic wings, good portion, sweet and spicy, their French fries are amazing!! The Kimchi Fried rice is a must. If you are trying to get a dish to share between2-4 people, the pork is a must, it literally melts in your mouth! We will be back!!
Be the first to ReplyHad a lovely dinner at Osamil.
Really enjoyed the service and the food presentation the most (as well as the actual food itself). Our party of two arrived at 6:10pm on a Wednesday night without a reservation, and thankfully we didn't have to wait at all because there was one table available. It was a little crammed because the tables in the front are close to one another, but I liked that the tables had hooks underneath for jackets and bags. The attention to detail in terms of the service was great. I appreciated that we received a cup for our mussels from the tteokbokki dish, and we got two cups and two spoons for the tteokbokki dish as well. The server even was thoughtful when thinking about what type of takeout containers would be best to box up our leftovers. Onto the food--my favorite dish was the tteokbokki. I have never had a tomato base for this dish, and it was delicious. A little spicy but not bad. The mozzarella balls were a weird combination I thought at first, but I loved them! They were great for combatting spicy dishes. The tteokbokki itself was cooked perfectly and the fish cakes were delicious. I also really enjoyed our Osamil Seasonal Salad. The fried lotus root was delicious, and everything worked together nicely. The presentation was also beautiful. Now, I wasn't crazy about the Potato & Zucchini Jeon, but it was nice and crispy! I think the soy sauce dip was a little spicy (actually I thought it was spicier than the tteokbokki). I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner! The music playlist they had was also great. Note if you come in winter and sit in the front, it does get chilly with the front door of the restaurant opening and closing every time a guest walks in!

Solid spot for dinner with a group for friends! Been here twice and I really enjoyed the ambiance and food. The cocktails are creative but not really my vibe except for the espresso martini. I had the pork shank last time and it was good but HUGE. Definitely a shared plate. My favorites were the kimchi fried rice (added steak) and the squid fries--the soy wasabi mayo dip really takes this app to a new level. Oden tang had a rly good flavor with lots of seafood inside. The seafood rose tokbokki had a good flavor but it was just OK compared to the other dishes.Would return again with friends!

It's been four years since my first visit and this time, I tried the food. It's still gonna be 3 stars from me.Our party of 5 had ressos for a Friday night at 7 pm. We all arrived around the same time just before 7 and they were able to seat us. We were seated at a round table. It wasn't squished but it wasn't spacious either so I wouldn't recommend coming with more people than that. For drinks, I had the Seoul-Mate (Hwayo 41, Grey Goose Strawberry & lemongrass essence, Martini & Rossi Fiero L'Aperitivo, Rockey's botanical liqueur, grapefruit Oleo-saccharum, lemon). At first, I wasn't sure what to make of it because it had this cinnamon (or nutmeg?) aftertaste, but it grew on me.For food, we ordered a bunch of things to share.Truffle fries (potato, smoked pimento, truffle oil, jalapeño ash mayo dip) - think McDonald's fries but gourmet. The truffle oil was very nice Squid fries (squid, soy wasabi mayo dip & vinegar gochujang dip) - the squid fries were okay but the soy wasabi mayo was perfect. The wasabi is just the right amount, not too overpowering.Beef tartare (hand-cut prime beef, Korean pear, quail egg, gochujang rémoulade, pine nut) - this was a very small portion and pretty bland, and a bit chewy Clam tang (cherry stone, manila, garlic, jalapeño, bonito) - the broth was soothing for a cold night but the clams were chewySeafood Rosé Tokbokki (rice cake, Hollander & de Köning mussel, shrimp, fish cake, bird's eye chili, fried mozzarella, micro arugula, basil oil, tomato-cream sauce) - I did not care for this one. It felt like it was trying too hard to be a Korean/Italian fusion, especially with the rice balls. The rice cake itself just tasted like they threw tomato sauce and mozzarella onto some tteokbokki Osamil kimchi fried rice with added hanger steak (house-made kimchi, Nueske bacon, egg & garlic, and beef crunch) - nothing you can't make yourself at homeUni bibimbap (chef selected uni, quinoa, wasabi tobiko, rice, house-made kimchi, soy pickled radish & dressing, perilla, shallot, seaweed purée, frisée) - the quinoa was interesting. After mixing, you can't really taste the uniOverall, everything was kind of bland. I think the flavor profile was there but they just needed some salt or MSG to really pump it up. My favorite dish was the fries. Think of this place as a higher end Korean gastropub. With so many other (and better options with cheaper prices in K-Town), I don't see myself coming back for a third visit.
Be the first to ReplyIt's horrible how one server (Alice D.
) didn't pass the test and make the place look bad. She pretty much left us to ourselves way after we were finished with our meal, empty dishes and glasses piled up on the table. She kept walking by without clearing the table and offering us after dinner drinks or coffee. When we finally managed to get her attention to get our bill , she was quick on her feet to get our check even though the table was still not cleared. The buck should stop with the Manager obviously he wasn't doing his job either. I am not going to elaborate on our food choices and quality if there was something wrong with them. I would have mentioned it on my review. I must admit the ambiance was nice. This place has a great potential with the right Management.

I visited Osamil during my NYC trip and I have to say, this is one of the most unique Korean restaurants I've ever been to! Every dish that I tried was absolutely mind-blowing.The standout dish for me was the cured shrimp with uni. If you're a fan of marinated raw crabs, you'll absolutely love this dish. The flavors were incredibly complex and the uni complemented the shrimp perfectly.I also tried the uni bibimbap which was slightly oily but still incredibly tasty. As a lover of uni, I couldn't resist trying this dish and it did not disappoint. The combination of flavors and textures was just perfect.Another dish that I highly recommend is the seafood rose tokbokki. This is a really interesting twist on traditional tokbokki, with a pasta-like texture that was absolutely delicious. The seafood flavors were perfectly balanced and the dish was just the right level of spiciness.Lastly, as a matcha lover, I was really excited to try the matcha cocktail and it did not disappoint. Overall, I highly recommend Osamil to anyone looking for a unique and delicious Korean dining experience. The flavors and textures of each dish are truly exceptional and the service was great too. I'd love to come back and try their other dishes

Cute date night spot that's serves Korean food with a modern twist. We got the steak tartare (yukhoe), soy garlic wings, and kimchi fried rice with skirt steak and truffle fries (not pictured). Love love love this place. If you ever come here, make sure you make a reservation as it gets really busy!
Be the first to ReplyI've probably been to Osamil over 20 times.
One of my favorite places in the city for drinks and/or dinner. The bartenders are great and will personalize your cocktails to your liking. The food is outstanding. My faves: the squid fries, regular fries, soy garlic wings, rose tteottbeokki, uni bibimbap, and the pork shank.
