Pasta Pasta Port Jefferson Reviews from The Last Year

I went here for an impromptu lunch date with my husband and first off the decor is SO cute. Next up, their bread is like next level good. I could eat a whole meal on the bread alone. We got the calamari and while we did not care for the sauce, the calamari itself was expertly breaded. And thankfully at a restaurant called Pasta Pasta the pasta itself and the sauce were good.
We really enjoy our visit.
The food was delicious especially the steak titbits and broccoli we thought it would be good and it was even better. The service was excellent.
Decent food, reasonable prices, excellent service.
Nice atmosphere. A general sense of relaxation, the kind that adds to just enjoying your company as well as your meal. In the right company. It could create wonderful a wonderful memory.
It's still good.
Not great, but a solid, varied menu with a good wine selection. Service isn't what it was, but still an enjoyable meal at a fair price.
Good is great and so is service .
Ambience as well. The bread is amazing . Great brunch as well
I'm thoroughly confused by the good reviews for this place.
Went there a few weeks ago and was totally unimpressed. The food was borderline mediocre. One dish out of the five dishes brought to the table we're OK. The rest were bland and tasteless. Whatever spices they use for their blackened chicken were either not the right spices, or it was just prepared wrong. It's almost as if they dusted the chicken with spices after it was cooked. The baked clams appetizer was mushy and had a funny taste to it. The calamari had great flavor, but was extremely chewy to the point of being inedible. The desserts were OK but the rainbow cheesecake took the prize of being the worst dessert I've ever been served on Long Island. The cheesecake part of it had zero taste to it and the cake part of it was dry. It's almost as if the piece of the cake they gave us was sitting for weeks. I took two bites and was disgusted. None of us felt well the day after. It was our first time... and last time we'll ever go. Sorry.
Very small, quaint restaurant.
We came here on a weekend for dinner and didn't have to make reservations. I had the Seafood Fra Diavolo and my wife had the Blackened Chicken and Shrip. We also ordered sides of Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Spinach. We both thought the food was okay.
It has to be best pasta and probably my favorite Restaurant

We love this restaurant! The food is amazing and so is the service. It's always crowded and even though we make reservations, there's a little wait, but it is soooo worth it!! Everything about this place makes you feel like you are eating right at home. I love the cozy booths, but the tables are also intimate, and you never feel crowded or rushed. I recommend everything on the menu, you can't go wrong with any dish. They have a great wine list, and awesome Champagne! They don't serve hard liquor, but what they do serve is excellent! This is my favorite restaurant in Port Jeff, and it is also a favorite of the couple we had dinner with. The food here is consistently excellent, and I can't say enough about the staff. They are awesome, and do such a great job, even though the place is always packed. They are friendly, patient, never make you feel rushed, and are always happy to great you and thank you for coming in. I can't say enough about how great this restaurant is :-)
The food at pasta pasta is always delicious.
It's a special treat because it is a high-end restaurant, but worth it.
Huge disappointment
This place came highly recommended so it wound up being a disappointment. We had no idea they offered a prix fice menu until after we had ordered. Most restaurants will include that menu with their regular menu. I will say Lobster bisque was delicious. Stuffed clams tasted like soggy bread crumbs and red pepper and no clams . The bread they serve has some sort of seasoning which is greasy and tastes terrible. My son loved his baked chicken parmigiana. The filet mignon was good but the gnocchi was mealy and dry. My daughter had the Chilean sea bass. It was dry and overcooked and bland as all get out. Very limited wine by the glass options and the service was VERY slow although literally 30 seconds after our appetizers and entrees were served server came over to ask how everything came out but barely saw her other than that. We had to chase her down to get check. It’s way over priced. Won’t be going back.
Meh - it's ok
I heard such good things about this place but the food was just so-so. The service was good and I loved the deconstructed cannoli. Otherwise, it was forgettable.
Good food, excellent service
My husband and I had dinner here on Sunday evening. It was reasonably quiet and uncrowded inside. (They also have 3 or 4 tables set up outside, too, but they're just the collapsible tables and chairs your grandparents used to pull out for family gatherings.) Our server, Alex, was terrific--consistently there as soon as we needed him and unobtrusive the rest of the time. They were flexible about a minor substitution in the appetizer for two, and the Caesar salad was good. Portions were generous--we had the penne with artichokes and broccoli and the fried ravioli and had enough for another dinner at home. The creme brulee dessert was perfectly prepared. (A few fresh berries on it would be a nice addition.) The garlic bread was the only disappointment--very soggy and tasted a bit fishy. I've had it there before, and it was fine...don't know what happened. All in all, a pleasant, enjoyable meal, with excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere...
