18% required admin fee for a party of 2 PLUS a gratuity?? No way. I am not paying almost 40% on top of the food to eat at this restaurant.

A neighborhood French restaurant that is comfortable, friendly and efficient with an attentive, friendly staff. Yes, it's pricey. Not sure I can justify a $10 baguette, but the crab cake was good(@$27 and the garlic fries thick with garlic like a snowscape. And yeah. Wonderful.

From the $75 corkage fee, to the $37 burger, to the $20 for 2 baguettes and butter, to the 18% "service charge" with the expectation of an additional tip, this place is "Le Ripoff". I gave it one star because the Trout wasn't half bad. Will not return.

The food was excellent, especially the appetizers and the dessert. There were three of us who enjoyed the meal. It was VERY expensive particularly to eat in the outside parking lot. Next time, I'd like to try the French Onion Soup which is one of their specialties. The servers were great people and hard-working.

Very good French style restaurant with an interesting menu Burger was fantastic as was the apple pie.
Cute bistro, yet leans expensive
Cute bistro located off Ventura Blvd with plenty of street parking or valet in the back off the alley. The menu is very French in that it's steeped in meats/hams and full flavor and density. I ordered the Sole Almandine as I've had it in the past and the fact I don't eat meat, I don't find many items on the menu I can enjoy and feel satisfied. I haven't tried a salad here et at the pricing makes me feel like the portion is smaller. The service is excellent and the pricing leans expensive.

This restaurant is very expensive but well worth it. We went for lunch on a weekday and were able to get in right away. The food was good, the atmosphere was lovely and service was impeccable. If you are looking for an experience - come here.

We both had the trout amandine which was fabulous. The service was very attentive. Be sure to order a baguette with salted butter as an appetizer.

Super clean and fresh food lots of show up the menu is very small the price is extremely extremely expensive the French onion soup other places between 8 to $12 here you will pay $17 for the hamburger you pay $25 Without any side
we asked for the fries they charge extra $9
so the hamburger cost $34 nothing special doesnโt come with any tomato onion lettuce nothing only with very bad sour sauce that I need to change my plate and clean the sauce when I asked for onion , they say we donโt have when I asked for usalted butter they say we donโt have , After complain that French restaurant serving always sweet butter and not salted butter they bring me a sweet butter
Is additional surprised when you get the bill , 18% service charge add to your bill
that it doesnโt appear on the menu when you order the food
Must be a reason that the menu is not online , better to go to five star hotel you will end up cheaper and much nicer environment donโt go there
Classic French food
Amazing classic French cuisine spot. My friends and I ordered the omelette with salad, steak with egg and the croque madame. Flavors here especially the cheeses are very rich. The omelette was cooked perfectly and very creamy. The steak with the fried brioche bun, jou, onions and egg were amazing. Crazy textures and a must order. Croque madame was very cheesy and delicious. This is an awesome spot and I love the restaurant group. Service and food are top notch. This location was so good that we decided to hit the Hollywood one. If you want great quality French food this is your spot. High ceilings and great open concept
Be the first to ReplyHow can a simple butter lettuce salad taste so good?! Someone explain this to me!
Bustling spot, at least it was the day we went for lunch. Authentic french vibe with close seating to your neighboring diners. The fresh baguette arrived piping hot, accompanied by butter and it was so good it was hard to focus on ordering food. The cocktail game there is hella on point. I'm not a dirty martini fan, but tried the Mactini and good, golly Miss Molly, it was sommmmmmme kind of good. Had the butter lettuce salad like I always do thinking that there's no way in the world it will still taste magical, yet it did. Had the omelet and my friend had the onion tart. Neither of us were disappointed by any means. Finished up our gluttonous day with the apple tart and a couple of French 75 cocktails. Service is solid. Environment a little loud and close for conversation, but food did not disappoint one little bit.

I had seen a review of one of their dishes on TV and I wanted to try the food here. I found the tables too close together and the noise level too high. It was hard to carry on a conversation with my table mate without raising my voice. The service was very good. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu. We had salads to start which were excellent. The dressing on both were very tasty and not over powering. I had the bacon onion tart which was very good. I did think that the bacon was too thick and too much for the tart. My table mate had the French onion soup which she said was outstanding. We shared a crime brรปlรฉe for dessert which was just ok. I probably will not dine hear again because of the noise level.

Things are getting right in the Universe and then a star is leaving
The steak tartare finally made it to the brunch menu yeah!
Loved the excellent selection of pastries prepared by chef Sharon. Felt like being in Paris especially on the last weekend of the month with the farmer's market like being in Paris. We found out that todsy was her last day. What a loss! A true pastry chef who after a conversation a couple of weeks ago came up with the most incredible chocolate and coconut croissant that might have earned her a spot of the most wanted list of the local weight watchers. Simply sinful.!
Hope that Chef Ludo gets another pastry chef and bring back the outdoor market tradition...
We are glad to still see Michael in the room. Great to know someone there.
Ps live the new partition in the dining room that cuts down on the ambiant noise.
