Omg it's so sad to see this place has been closed!! This was my number one rooftop place for lots of reasons! First of all the atmosphere was really cute! The staff was really cool and kind. They had a rooftop pool and a restaurant patio. Even though there's not too much food option, the snacks were yummy. We need the PILOT BACK, please.

I've only been here for their cocktails, so I can't really speak for the food. The spicy margarita they have here is spicy and not too sweet, just how I like it. I like to come here for the view and a nice ambiance. Update: It seems like they're closed temporarily due to Covid.

The actual restaurant had a nice setting and view but the service was rather disappointing and hard to get the attention of anyone. The food in our opinion was just meh. You scan a code to get a menu to order online. We went to order food at 8pm and it kicked back saying some of the items were no longer available which at 8pm on a Saturday was super weird to us. They bring the food out as it's ready but like drop off and take off. We couldn't flag down someone to get a serving spoon for several minutes. The baked ziti sauce was very salty and from a can tasting which neither of us enjoyed. Fries were good and grain bowl was alright just nothing super special to us. If I were to go back it would be for drinks only not food.

Originally I saw this place on tiktok and knew instantly I had to go. Made reservations and came here with my boyfriend . The ambiance is beautiful and trendy , the service was nice and quick ! To access the menu you gotta scan the QR code and you place the order through the app . Which is so so cool! We got a bunch of the truffle pasta , margarita pizza, shoestring fries , and the chocolate cake for dessert. We started with the shoestring fries were crispy , and yummy. We got a side of ketchup and ranch which both house made. The truffle pasta was delicious and the truffles melted in our mouths so nicely. I would say it is a little oily but but overall it is very good. The Margherita pizza was also so good. The place is a big pricy but it's worth it for the views , food and service. As for the drinks , the drinks were okay. Nothing special . The servers were very nice and even took multiple photos of us . Anyways I will be back and thankful TIKTOK led me here .

I have mixed reviews about Pilot but overall it was a decent experience! We ordered the Brioche Milk bread, red pepper hummus, fennel sausage pizza, Rigatoni and the summer truffle.Everything was tasty except for the brioche milk bread. Do not be fooled, it is not your typical fluffy thick brioche bread--it's literally toast. Didn't even have a hint of sweetness to it and the nduja butter that came with it wasn't the best. The combo together was lackluster. Both pastas were delicious so you can't go wrong but the rigatoni packed more flavor. The truffle pasta tasted a bit too oily for my liking. The pizza was my absolute favorite though! Fluffy and crunchy at the same time with lots of flavor.Ambiance is lovely. You get to see the entire DTLA skyline and it's really pretty at night with all the lights. The restaurant is really cute too. Perfect for a date night or dinner date with friends. Food came out quickly. No long wait times which was great because we came hungry. Staff was friendly but lacked attentiveness. Parking is tough to find and after a few blocks from the restaurant it can get sketchy. Valet is $15.-
Be the first to ReplyHonestly super disappointed.
We got here they took us up got seated fairly quickly. We got the menus we had to scan and were looking at the food. We quickly realized most of the stuff online wasn't on this menu and we were very confused. They also did not tell us we had to pay online before hand so we were waiting for a waiter that never came. We got the fries and hummus and pita bread. They were both pretty good. But we were just very disappointed in our service as we were not explained the ordering process and the missing food items. Very disappointed. Probably not coming again.

Welp. I wanted to like this especially since it's the only place open in the Hoxton. Everything is by QR code, all menus and ordering. I understand the menu part in Covid times but if you're used to having someone wait on you, this ain't it. Friendly, for sure, when they delivered your items but very hands off. Calamari had no taste and was over cooked. We had our order, drink and headed next door. The view is awesome but it's not worth the effort

Was a really cute rooftop bar on top of a hotel! The view was beautiful at sunset and the drinks were pretty good! I got a tasty gin mocktail which was great and my friends got a salty dog!

We can recommend this rooftop space of the Hotel Hoxton for incredibly fresh, tasty and ample and beautifully plated salads. The cocktails are very good as is the wine selection. The rooftop space is beautiful. The employees are friendly, attentive and accommodating. One never feels forgotten. Be aware though, prices are high (over $100 for a salad and drink for two with tip).
