This place was really bad.
I understand it's vegan but the food had no flavor and it was over priced. Do not go to planta in the grove unless you like plain as veggies.

I am so obsessed with this place that immediately after my meal yesterday I went on the contact form on their website and begged them to open a location in the Orlando area. I need this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If they opened a location in Mills 50, I would be there for every happy hour. I even tried to figure out a way to go back today but couldn't make it work. I got the "Sake to Me" cocktail, with vodka, sake, watermelon, and yuzu. It was a little small but just the right level of sweet that I like. They had some other interesting cocktails as well, but let's get serious: I wasn't here for the cocktails. The first thing to come out was one of the small plates we ordered, the Sweet Corn Dumplings. We agonized over what to choose because there were SO many options that sounded delicious. The dumplings were a little slippery and soft, which made them a little difficult to eat with the smooth chopsticks provided, but the flavor was on point. They were just a little bit spicy and had an interesting fusion of delicious flavors. As a vegetarian who loves sushi, I do love the traditional offerings many sushi places have for vegetarians (sweet potato roll, avocado roll, etc.). But I have always been curious about the elaborate more "deluxe" sushi rolls available to the pescatarians and omnivores of the world. Planta makes all my sushi dreams come true and I am literally salivating thinking about their sushi menu. We tried the Firecracker Roll (sweet potato, avocado, and vegan unagi with potato straws, gochujang mayo, and chili salt on top) this time because it was only on their special menu for April. I LOVE gochujang so I didn't want to miss out on this one. It was packed with flavor and was a completely unique experience. It made me even more excited to try some of their other sushi options next time. The Chili Garlic Tofu was our final savory item, and it was a fantastic finale. Protip: do not try to put a giant piece of bok choy in your mouth whole, no matter how delicious it is. We still weren't full so we debated whether to get another small plate or dessert, and we eventually settled on dessert. We ordered the Bubble Waffle, which comes with taro ice cream, a sticky rice crunch, black sesame caramel, and strawberry. I think the ice cream has a coconut base--which I should have asked about, because I can't stand coconut. But that's just a personal preference, and I ate around it to try all of the other parts. The waffle was so fresh and soft, and the black sesame caramel was delectable. I also had a "Our 'Spresso Martini" dessert drink, which was a solid espresso martini with a little kick of cinnamon. There are SO MANY other things on the menu I can't wait to try and until I return to Miami I will be hoping and praying that Planta decides to open a restaurant in the 407. PLEASE!!!!

We stopped in for an early dinner with my family. Our server was attentive, and funny, made great suggestions, and never forgot to check on us. The meal was def a FIVE STARS! We got different things and all we had was amazing... It was a great meal to end the day. Thank you!

Came during happy hour and they have lots to choose from. Everything came out fast. The service was ok. The server missed an item we ordered but it's ok people make mistakes. Loved the Dan Dan noodles and the spicy tuna hand roll. They have other locations so definitely need to try those as well.
Be the first to ReplyTried it when I had a foodie gluten free friend in town.
Said was the best gf/vegan food she had. The dishes were all good and the service was attentive. Will go back for sure!

We can't say enough good things!! LOVED each and every thing we tried. Asian fusion type cuisine with plenty of sushi options along with other, varied meal options. The atmosphere is hip and very "Miami" aesthetic. The food is good, satisfying vegan with some healthier options. Service was great each time. In a cute walkable area of town. The plant powered lunch deal is just that--a deal! Comes with a cookie the size of your head.

Our bartender Marc was great, very attentive, recommended us very great choices. He made it very easy for us to pick from the menu. Thank you for such a great first time experience Marc!! Also great ambiance! Super chill vibes

Good- ambiance nice, dragon roll and desert amazing! Nice that they had different menus like gluten free and mushroom. Bad- bad music too loud and wouldn't turn it down, server on the brink of rude, Singapore and Dan Dan noodles were way too salty. Spring roll was tiny, like two, one-and-a-half bites No apologies If I didn't have another choice I'd just get the dragon rolls and desert TO GO
