Worth the challenge to find Pollen
After a wee challenge to find the entrance (it is by the waterfront where cyclists and joggers cruise by) the simple doorway opens into the tardis of the flower dome. The temperature inside is 20-22C, so comfortable for most. Bring an extra layer if you tend to feel the cold. The eclectic wine list contains wines from many countries that are not perhaps well known for their exports. We tried a white from Santorini - recommended by the sommelier given that we chose the vegetarian and non-vegan tasting menus. It was exactly as described and was a great accompaniment to three courses. The whole front of house team were fabulous; unpretentious; empathetic and truly cared about our experience. We were treated as if we were food critics. We did not take advantage of the free flower dome access although there was a beautiful yellow gerbera, or the free buggy back to other ground transport. The food by the way was simply amazing. All the flavours and textures worked in our view. Their presentation was amazing too. Please see the photos samples. Special thanks to Ashwan, Ernest and Kar.

We had a great night. Food was incredibly innovative and very tasty. We went with Chefโs choice and the various tastes and quantity was perfect. The service was flawless. Special call out for the passionate sommelier, Viknes - young and proud of the outstanding accompanying wine selection. Important tip - visit the cloud garden as part of your meal before you order. We waited until we finished our meal and did not have enough time to explore.

All patrons have access to the dome, so go early or schedule in ard 30-60 mins for a stroll in the beautiful garden. The food nvr fails to amaze, impeccable service, desserts proves to be quite additively perfect time after time.

Had a wonderful dining experience in Pollen Restaurant last week. The ambience of the restaurant is nice and warmth. 3 types of snacks were served at the start of the meal. Each was delicious and delicate. The Gazpacho soup with spanner crab was outstanding very refreshing. The crab was amazingly fresh. The came the risotto with spanish prawns. Very tasty and flavourful risotto to match with the thin slices of spanish prawns. The prawn is so tender and you can taste the sea. Main course was the signature duck neck sausage for 2 pax. The sausage is presented and sliced in front of you. Itโs stuffed with foie gras. must have taken the kitchen lots of time and skill to stuff the food into the neck. Taste was incredible it was served with 9 days age duck as well. Dessert came in 3 types. Light, medium and heavy taste. Again we are so impressed with the desserts and their different taste. The service was impeccable. Sommelier recommended the perfect wine to pair with each courses. Very memorable and experience. Highly recommended restaurant.

A wonderful experience .. we chose the tasting menu - dishes were spot on and the wine list is varied and interesting. Service (by a gent) was excellent; knowledgable in all dishes and wines. The food has a very โcleanโ interpretation. We did not explore the atrium (I believe we saw other walking off for this).

Pollen used to be my favourite restaurant in Singapore. The tomahawk was amazing, my brother loved it too and he is particular about his meat! Beef tartare was great. Octopus was top too.
My one gripe is that there is no longer an a la carte menu for dinner, so it has become significantly pricier. The tomahawk is also no longer on the menu. For that reason I have not been back.
Excellent anniversary dinner @ Pollen, of which fond memories are made
My wife and I recently went to Pollen for our anniversary dinner. It was a superb experience. Really great food, excellent and responsive customer service, and full of small touches that make the difference for a fantastic experience.
Firstly, the logistics. Call the main line and a friendly voice belonging to Kristine will help with the details and the fact that there is a buggy ride from the Pollen stand at the top of the main carpark escalator. The buggy came fast when we called, which was nice because it was drizzling plus we were dressed so it wouldnโt have been comfortable to walk 10 minutes to the Flower Dome in which Pollen is situated.
Secondly, the customer service. Farhan is the Restaurant Manager and the great staff training is evident from the way they bring us to the table, how they pour the water and sauces, knowledge and recommendations on the menu, and how they are attentive without being intrusive. We never lacked for service throughout the 2+ hour meal. Farhan and his team were really responsive. My only comment is that they should wear name badges so that we could write on this review to recommend them. Incidentally, I counted no less than six changes of cutlery throughout the meal !
Thirdly, the food. It was really excellent food. They started us with some really nice appetisers, followed by spelt bread with superb olive oil and sea salt (of which I finished every last drop). The Mediterranean cuisine is authentically sourced from that region. The recommended razor clams were truly divine, and the beef and prawn mains were uniquely presented. I enjoyed the sherbet dessert but my wife enjoyed the herb tart better than I did.
The afters were really nice too, but by then we were too full to have coffee.
Fourthly, the ambience. Being seated next to the Flower Dome and looking out over the Bay is really very nice. They remembered my request to be seated where we could see the sunset. My only comment is that itโs a pity they are not located on the higher floor where the views would be even better. Incidentally, if you visit, do make a point of visiting the restrooms and washing hands with their superb soap (of which my wife really enjoyed the scent on her hands throughout the drive home and after). Maybe Pollen should start a little business on the side and sell their soaps ๐
Lastly, the customer service. Itโs little touches that make the difference, from:
* a buggy ride to and fro
* a stool for the wifeโs handbag
* an anniversary card on the table and cake with candle at the end
* to offers to take photos so that both of us look nice (compared to wefies - where the party taking the photo doesnโt always look the best),
* to a sparkling water glass that is constantly topped up and finally
* really good recommendations on the food and a graciousness when we changed our minds.
Superb food and excellent customer service come with a price, but I feel that itโs worth paying in the case of Pollen restaurant, as itโs an experience of which fond memories are made out of. Regard it as an investment in our marriage, which the returns cannot be quantified. But of course, such indulgences are not to be had too regularly for the sake of the waistline and wallet.
We look forward to coming here again during some occasion so as to make it memorable.
Great ambient and very pleasant hospitality.
We booked reservation at 1830hrs due to work delays, I called the restaurant and was greeted by a friendly voice named Christine. We pushed our dinner at 1930hrs instead. Christine directed on how to get to their complimentary buggy service. Upon arrival at the drop off point, I received a phone call from the restaurant this time by Ellis and she directed me nicely on the location of the pick up point.
Shortly she arrived and gave us a short tour and brief information about the place. We were impressed from the start. Upon entering, we did safe check-in and had our temperature scanned. Ellis offered us their sanitiser bottle for us to disinfect our hands. It gave me a safe feeling that they are serious on cleanliness and providing a safe environment since it is still covid period.
Ellis was all smiley and friendly. She then ushered us to our seats and the rest of the staff greeted us "good evening" . Such a warm welcome!
We were served by Farhan. He took noticed of our dietary preferences and explained to us on the menu. He is very knowledgeable about the food they served and where they are from.
Whenever he serves us all of our courses, he shares where are they from and the highlight of it. Ernest also aids and comes back regularly if we need any guidance. Ellis came over to my partner and even offered they have a shawl for her since the restaurant is quite cold. She is very attentive.
We enjoyed every bite of our dinner, the toothfish is very fresh. Its snow-white flesh is cooked to perfection. Their truffle, premium morroccon mint tea and salted caramel pastry are to die for.
Ordered a cup pf cappuccino however it taste burnt. I signalled for Farhan and he immediately got our coffee replaced with no obligation. Great job!
Price wise is very affordable and we enjoyed coming here. We were offered a lift back to the drop off point on their buggy. We came home with a full tummy and with great delight. Thank you Ash, Ellis, Farhan & Earnest for such a splendid experience and great memories to be remembered!
