Prato Winter Park Reviews from The Last Year

Visiting from Nc but I'm an original NY girl this place was fantastic! We had the arancini balls , Margarita pizza, gnocchi and cauliflower. Everything was delicious and service superb! Highly recommend!

Prato was great! We got there just after it opened and it was already packed, told us it'd be UP TO a 45 min wait. We ended up waiting over an hour, but it was for sure worth it! We started with the Arancini, it was great! Crispy, warm, great sauce too. Then we all split a diavola pizza, the pesto tortellini, Cancio y Pepe, and a Branzino. Everything was phenomenal. Everything was cooked perfectly. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The sauce on the pastas was enough to taste but not so much that the pasta got all soggy. The Branzino was cooked perfectly, the skin was crispy, the meat was mild and flaky, the sauce was great but not overpowering. All in all, Prato was great. Great food, in a great area, nice service, cute vibe as well. I'd highly recommend and I'm looking forward to my next trip to Orlando to come again!

This is the cutest place! I came here solo and had the best time. I ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and the peppercorn bolognese as my entree. I Paired both w/ a Merlot. Food quality was excellent, along with customer service. Will definitely return to this beautiful ambiance!

Went here for drinks and they were okay 7/10 The ambiance was rustic and nice We were full otherwise the pizza seemed very inviting the oven was beside us and we watched the cooks make the pizzas so next time we will try those! The server was not very friendly, was least bothered to attend to us until we asked for what we want. That's the only negative I have for this place
of course their pizza and pasta is amazing BUT my favorite
of course their pizza and pasta is amazing BUT my favorite thing on the menu are their meatballs... they are delicious & i honestly sometimes come in and just order a few servings of meatballs & wine love the atmosphere, it's always busy but the service is always great & quick.

Prato is my all time favorite go to.
I usually go in the evenings to enjoy wine and their meatball. This time around I am not shore what happened but they were a bit too salty. However that cauliflower soup and mustard spaghetti was amazing. The service i receive is always top notch and the ambience is very chic and romantic.

Prato is an absolute gem! The ambiance is cozy, the service is top-notch, and let's talk about their pizza - it's a game-changer!The one with egg on top? Pure bliss! It's like a flavor explosion in every bite, and trust me, you'll be craving it even in your dreams. Don't miss out on this culinary masterpiece, folks! Your taste buds will thank you. Plus, their drinks are absolutely on point! And guess what? Rumor has it they serve an epic brunch menu too! Looks like I'll definitely be back for round two!
Food is incredible, wait staff has always been kind
Food is incredible, wait staff has always been kind friendly and accommodating. My only qualm with this place is how good it is because it's always so slammed.
I feel torn because the food at Prato is usually amazing,
I feel torn because the food at Prato is usually amazing, but sometimes they use way too much oil on some of their dishes. The house focaccia, the margherita, the farm egg creste di gallo, and the mustard spaghettini "cacio e pepe" are absolutely perfect. However, the sixty south salmon and the campagna salad are way too oily for me. You can see on the photo of the salmon that the couscous is literally drowning in oil. It's hard to enjoy the taste and texture of the food when all you can feel is the oil. Same goes for the salad. I get that they want to make the croutons as crispy as possible, but when you bite into them it's an explosion of oil on your mouth. It's very off-putting. Everything else is great though! One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that you can get half portions of the pastas, which are very rich, so I know I wouldn't be able to finish a full one. The menu prices are on the higher end, but it completely makes sense once you experience the quality of the food. Most dishes are about $20 on average and I think it's totally worth it. Service is great, I've never had an issue in all the times that I've been to Prato. Just keep in mind that it's always packed, so if you don't make a reservation beforehand you might have to wait a while. They have an amazing location though, so it's a nice place to walk around and see some shops while you wait for a table.
I recently celebrated my birthday at an Italian gem nestled
I recently celebrated my birthday at an Italian gem nestled in Winter Park, and it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for the evening. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring our every need was met. The diavolo pizza a symphony of flavors, with the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Dough was rested well although I would have preferred more leoparding with a crispy base. While the pasta was undeniably flavorful, I must admit that it fell slightly short of expectations in terms of texture. It was cooked well, but not quite as al dente as I typically prefer. Nonetheless, the rich sauces and fresh ingredients still made for a satisfying dish. Surprisingly the star of the night was the escarole caesar salad. Dressed simply with croutons toasted to perfection Overall, my birthday dinner at this Italian restaurant in Winter Park was nothing short of fantastic. With its great ambiance and impeccable service it's definitely a place I'll be returning to again and again.
Must have a reservation and they should update their hours
Must have a reservation and they should update their hours accordingly! Food was amazing. I had the mustard noodles - it was crowded and packed. The wait was a bit much, so make sure you book in advance
Went here for the first time on a Monday.
Staff was very attentive and nice, we ordered three courses the crostini has very good flavors and textures. Steak was amazing. For dessert, personally the tiramisu was too amaretto forward, but if you love that flavor def would recommend that dessert! Love how the menu changes in short periods of time keeping all the ingredients fresh and in season. Can't wait to come back to try more dishes.

Prato is a Park Ave staple! Great cocktails, and food! My only complaint is it can be pretty loud. The meatballs are an excellent starter, always cooked perfectly. My other favorites are the Cacio e Pepe and the Butternut Squash Ravioli (seasonal). I like to do 2 half portions of the pastas because I can never choose just one.
My visit to Prato was filled with anticipation, especially
My visit to Prato was filled with anticipation, especially considering the rave reviews about their Cacio e Pepe. Unfortunately, my experience with this dish fell short of expectations. The flavor was lacking, and the overwhelming presence of radicchio detracted from the overall enjoyment. However, not all was lost, as the meatballs, sweet potato ravioli, and ricotta cheesecake were absolute standouts. Each dish offered a unique and unforgettable flavor profile, leaving a lasting impression. The restaurant's ambiance is undeniably outstanding, making it the perfect spot for a date night or drinks with friends. The cozy atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. Despite arriving without a reservation, we were promptly seated within 15 minutes, a testament to the efficiency of their walk-in service. Despite the disappointing Cacio e Pepe, our server's recommendations were spot on, further enhancing our overall enjoyment. While I may not return specifically for the Cacio e Pepe, I would certainly revisit Prato for its stellar meatballs and ricotta cheesecake.
First time here and did not disappoint.
Made reservations for a special birthday after the Winter Park Art festival. If you want to get in you need to give yourself plenty of time to make the reservations ahead of time. It's super crowded. Service impeccable. Food very good. We also had sorbet limoncello at the end for the birthday girl that I didn't get a photo of but it was delicious. Also the Caesar salad was good but my photo was blurry :-) honestly, the best part to me was the polenta under the meatballs and the limoncello with the calamari next. The pasta was really good too. Highly recommend.
All I can say is: wow.
It was amazing, the service, the food! It was great! We sat outside and had a great time. I would definitely come back.
A friend and I decided to stop in here on a Sunday
A friend and I decided to stop in here on a Sunday afternoon after enjoying the Winter Park Boat Tour. When we arrived around 3:30, the friendly hostess told us the kitchen was closed until 5pm and they were only serving pizza. We had no problem with that as we just wanted some drinks and something to nibble on before we went to dinner later that night. We asked if we could have a sidewalk table and the hostess stated it would be about 15 minutes as they were just clearing off some tables. We were seated at a nice table in less than 10 minutes. The drinks were very good and the presentation was nice. I ordered the Cetriolo, which was an excellent mixture of cucumber vodka, agave, white cranberry and basil (with the basil leaf floating nicely on top). It was refreshing and perfect for the afternoon. My friend asked if they had Moscow Mules and she ordered that and also liked her choice. We saw various pizzas on customers' tables and decided that we would definitely try one. We ordered the Funghi, which consisted of feta, maitake mushrooms, scallions and white balsamic. It was perfection! As good as it was, we had to take some home as we did not want to spoil our dinner appetite. I heartly recommend Prato's pizzas! The only reason for 4 starts was although our waitress was friendly and helpful, it seems they are short-staffed before the dinner guests arrive (or maybe it was just this Sunday). I asked for ice with our water, and it took at least 15 minutes before she returned with the ice. She did apologize for the delay, which I do give her credit for. Therefore, I can only comment on the Sunday afternoon service and I'm sure the dinner experience is much better based on some of the reviews of my fellow Elite Yelpers.

the service was very slow and there were not many vegetarian options, but other than that very delicious restaurant. We got the margarita pizza and mustard pasta .

I stopped by here after a hair appointment to have lunch at the bar. I ordered the calamari and the Piadina sandwich with campagna salad. Amazing! The piadina with local mushroom, smoked pear, arugula, and burrata is insanely good. The calamari and sauces were delicious.
Mmmm
What happened to your meatballs? Terrible now! Very tough and cold ! Great staff at the bar live the place but has changed
Great Valentines eve dinner
Fantastic experience. The waiter. Rafael was accommodating to all needs even laughed at my terrible jokes. The food was absolutely delicious. my wife had a sweet potato ravioli and she absolutely loved it and it was filling she could barely finish it all. me me me, a man could also barely finish my steak, even though I eat a lot. Overall a fantastic Valentines eve deliquite dinner with a special someone. Huge shout out Prato.
Hostess
We were at the Prato restaurant for lunch today. The hostess was very rude and sarcastic about our language difficulties. All because we asked to sit at a table inside the restaurant while she wanted us to sit at a table on the sidewalk. She deliberately made us wait until she set the table which had been empty for a long time. This is a person unprepared to deal with tourists, which is inconceivable in a tourist city like Orlando. The food, atmosphere and waitress service were good.
The Best Casual Restaurant
Love Prato!! People, place and food! The Cacio e Pepe is delicious!! The margarita pizza is to die for! I highly recommend this restaurant for people who enjoy great food!
Great dinner and atmosphere!
This was our first dining experience to Prato. Our server Bea was excellent and attentive to our every need and food choices were fantastic. We started with the meatballs served over a creamy polenta. We then decided to try the pizza diavolo. We each had one slice and boxed the rest to go with the left over meatballs. It is spicy with the hot pepper oil so we were glad we got that on the side with our order. We liked the fact you could have a small half plate of the homemade pasta and ordered the mustard spaghetti and bolognese. Both were great in their own right, but the mustard spaghetti was a step above in depth of flavor. Wine selections were great and we finished with Tiramisu and cappuccino. We had a wonderful meal and evening and look forward to a return visit!
Considered best meal ever eaten!
Our waitress, Lessa, gave us absolutely fantastic service and was complimented by my family members as one of the best meals they have ever eaten. After personally thanking the manager on the floor, we received complimentary desserts of each kind from their selective, yet highly extensive menu! Cannot express enough our amazing experience here! Will be returning.
Great atmosphere and staff.
This reastaurant was great. They do not have Gluten-free Pizza which was a surprise to me. Great staff and drinks. Just wished the offered GF opinions
Bad experience
Took a long time to receive dinner. The brought the dinner servings all out at different times. Portion size was very small. Will not return.
