This was my most disappointing experience, which pains me to say. We were here for my birthday celebration which I notated in the occasion. We were seated in the bar area which was quite busy, so not the intimate vibe we had in the past. We weren't attended to often and both waited for drink refreshes on multiple occasions (our wines were clearly empty and we were waiting to order a new drink). The food itself was just fine on this occasion. Three dishes we ordered came with the same crisps for the spreads--eggplant, tuna, and whitefish. It wasn't what we were expecting at all after previous exceptional service and food experiences.

We decided to try Pusadee's for our anniversary dinner and we enjoyed our experience! The food did not lack flavor and everything was cooked perfectly. The service was fine, it didn't feel very welcoming, but it was definitely not bad either. We were able to sit in the garden on a beautiful night, and overall the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. Generally, the food and ambiance is good- it is crazy to think you are still in Pittsburgh! I would say try it if you never have before, but will definitely be keeping this for our special occasions only!

Delicious appetizers and meal! Beautiful setting and great service. I wish it was easier to get a reservation or we'd go more often!
This is a much needed update to a former review.
This was necessary since the restaurant has undergone a massive remodeling since I was last there. It was quite a makeover indeed. Not only has the look and feel of the place changed, but the staff and service has dramatically changed and been vastly improved. It has a much more upscale feel to it which I quite enjoyed. My visit last night started with waiting outside the restaurant in a slightly large line to get in before they opened. I didn't realize that they open at 5 p.m., but I had come just before that time from work. The clientele seems older and very well to do. People were really dressed to the nine. I actually felt kind of out of place in a t-shirt and shorts, ha. Since I came alone I had to just get a seat at the bar, which was fine with me. The bar staff made sure that I was served in a quick and efficient manner and their approach was professional. The food here has also received an upgrade. Oh my gosh, what a meal. I had the pumpkin curry with eggplant(lovely, soft, delicate, the way eggplant should always be cooked), roasted kabocha(sweet, yummy), cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, tofu and mushrooms(not sure what kind they are, but soooo good). This dish was a tantalizing symphony of flavors that danced and swayed on my palate like a classically trained ballerina. The pumpkin flavor of the curry blended so well with the kabocha which pretty much tastes a lot like pumpkin. The vegetables were all cooked wonderfully and the side of sticky rice was a welcome addition to the meal. Dessert was the coconut milk ice cream with jack fruit, peanuts and sticky rice. The ice cream was sooooo great. I don't know how they made this, but it is way better than store bought coconut ice cream. The jack fruit is just diced into tiny bits and put in the ice cream. I had a turmeric and ginger herbal tea that was really good. If this was my last meal of my life I could have died with a large smile on my face. My only critique is that they don't have enough vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu. I am sure that they would make veggie, or vegan versions of the dishes if you asked, but it is a bit too bad that they don't feature more plant based dishes. They did so well with the pumpkin curry that I am sure that they could handle it. They are certainly my new favorite local Thai food restaurant, but I really like to eat vegetarian, so I might get sick of the only two dishes that are vegetarian.

We went here for our anniversary- so hard to get a reservation but it's so worth it. Service, food, setting was all incredible.

My dinner was a special occasion to spend time with my Father, who lives out of state. The service was attentive but borderline obtrusive (specifically with water refills--we appreciate a full glass but do not need a refill after consuming a mere 1/4 glass). Our waitress (Melissa) was pleasant. The meal (grilled shrimp entrΓ©e and pork belly entrΓ©e) was superb. To be honest, it is amongst the best meals I've had over 20 years in Pittsburgh. As a critique, it should be noted that the rice provided for entrees was "skimpy" (for our appetites) at best. The waitress, late in the meal, offered to bring more. We agreed and were grateful at the time. With that said, it was surprising/disappointing to have $8 ($4 per extra serving) added to the meal - without knowledge of the upcharge for RICE - when a meager portion was provided at the beginning. It is the single hesitation I have on whether to return for an otherwise exceptional dinner. I feel taken advantage of in order to pad the restaurant's bottom line (and the server's tip, which is calculated on the total bill). Truthfully, I will caution my friends and colleagues about this business practice while simultaneously praising the excellent food.
Amazing! I can't say enough how delicious this place was.
The service was on point. Finally, the atmosphere relaxing and zen.

Came here at 5:30pm and we were seated immediately! My friends and I shared the sweet potato curry with roti (10/10 I wish we had ordered 2 of these it was a table favorite), crispy shrimp (9/10 my second favorite), pan roasted halibut (8/10 a nice flakey fish but not a lot of flavor), and beef tenderloin (8/10 this was good flavor but the beef was chewier than I like). Then we split the mango sticky rice dessert! (8/10 a classic but nothing blew us away)

I've been to Pusadee's several times and it never disappoints! The restaurant itself is beautiful with a gorgeous courtyard garden. Some of my go-tos: squid, 17 ingredient salad, roti, fried shrimp, khao soi, mango rice, jackfruit sorbet, and chai mocktail. The jungle curry is also delicious but quite spicy. I have pretty good spice tolerance, but I still struggle with it. Order with caution! FYI: you kinda have to reserve online a month in advance! I don't know any other way to get a table.
Loved this place.
It is so hot on social media right now, and the chef was a finalist for this region's James Beard award. The food lived up to the hype. They have an excellent craft cocktail menu. There is an amazing selection of beers and wines. The food, however, is what stands out. We had the roti and pork belly appetizer. Both were great. Then we shared the braised pork belly and the grilled shrimp with panang curry. I thought that the pork would be the star, but the shrimp was our favorite. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious. The ambiance was beautiful, with a lot of glass, which enables you to see the seating in a vibrant courtyard with colorful plants, blossoming trees, and flowers. Quite spectacular. Get reservations when they release them. They go fast

Met with my college besties for a nice evening of delicious food and drinks in a really cool location.
Delicious.
Recommend the mushroom bok choy. Most delicious thing I've ever had. Great waitress. Nice atmosphere.
Amazing first-time experience here at Pusadees! We
Amazing first-time experience here at Pusadees! We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately next to a wall looking out into the beautiful blooming courtyard. Our appetizer and drinks were love at first taste and set the bar high for the rest of our night! We both ordered the Forest Bathing drink and the combination of flavors was like nothing I'd ever experienced, I loved the hints of palo santo. If I ever have to choose my final dying meal, I'm coming here for the roti and drinks. The shrimp Panama curry was also fantastic. Also pictured is the Elysian Fields lamb curry which was a decent sized portion and could probably feed up to 3 people or 2 very hungry ones. The service was great in my experience, the waitress even brought us a 3rd dessert free of charge, of which she accidentally ordered So we ended up trying all 3 desserts! Favorite had to be the Thai tea crème brûlée, although I also liked mixing it with the coconut ice cream. The bits of jackfruit and sticky rice in it were a new experience for me but I didn't mind it at all! I can't wait to go back and hopefully sit outside when the weather is nicer!
One of our favorite places.
The atmosphere is very tranquil and pleasant. The service is always top notch. The staff is very friendly and there when you need them. The food has some sweet and spiciness and some aromatic flavors. Have tried many items on the menu and all have been very good. Last visit we split the jungle curry chicken that is very spicy, so beware, but so flavorful and tasty. Also had the Khao yum, 17 ingredient salad and the roti. It is hard to select a meal because everything has always been so good. We always leave wondering when we will come back.
Every dinner at @pusadeesgarden is always divine.
The food is consistently delicious, the drinks are well crafted, the staff so lovely, and the vibes are immaculate. I can't wait until it's warmer out so that we can sit in the garden! Also, that Thai tea creme brΓ»lΓ©e with boba is my favorite creme brΓ»lΓ©e in Pittsburgh right now so get it while you can! Pro tip: to make sure you get the reservation date and time you want, log on early in the morning a month before your desired date to make that reservation on Resy! If that doesn't work out, they do accept a limited number of walk ins so you might have some luck if you show up right at 5pm.
Great space, food and service.
The garden is beautiful and the bar has a modern feel with fun cocktails!

Just like so so so many before me, Pusadee's Garden is 10/10!!! The ambiance, the food, their team, amazing! We day in the garden area and it was such a beautiful setting. This is a place where you can order anything on the menu and it's guaranteed to be fantastic. Must go, must try!
Food, service and ambiance are hard to beat.
Truly one of the best spots, not only in Pittsburgh, but in this corner of the U.S. Be sure to make a reservation as this place books up fast.
Not real Thai, served lukewarm
If you want real Thai food, this is not the place. Food is bland, served luke warm, expensive and we both felt "off" later that night. Too much emphasis on peanut, not enough on chili, curry, coconut and the complex flavors of real Thai food. We live in Lawrenceville and have tried this place twice, just to make sure we did not have an off night the first time - but sadly, the experience was consistent. We have been to Thailand and you can get authentic Thai for less $$. This place is about the ambiance and, frankly, it's just OK.
Delicious!
Delicious food and perfect service. We recommend getting reservations in advance! We will return.
REAL Thai Food!!
We took my husband out for a big birthday along with my 87 year old mother, and 87 year old father-in-law & 21 year old daughter. This place is just perfect! Really! From the first view of the singular outdoor garden (itβs like sitting in a jungle), to the exceptional food & service. THIS is real Thai food! My husbandβs been to Thailand, and is usually happy with some Thai restaurants. He was floored. You can taste the individual, fresh ingredients in each dish that a prepared perfectly. My mom, who is not prone to hyperbole, remarked that the meal was the best sheβs had in years. Pusadeeβs isnβt cheap, but there is a reason for that. High quality ingredients, exquisite preparation, and the service is fantastic.
Outstanding!
We arrived with reservations on a rainy night. Unfortunately, their beautiful patio garden is not covered, and we had to eat inside. As I have a health condition and am paranoid about dining close to others inside, they showed me several table options including one in the bar area that was pretty isolated. It worked out perfectly. My husband and I shared several appetizers: octopus (tender and very tasty), roti and chicken curry (very flavorful), and eggplant dip (our least favorite). Then he had a grilled shrimp dish and I had the short ribs and noodles. Both were delicious and generously portioned, so much so that I could not even get close to finishing mine. We are from the west coast where Thai restaurants abound. Pusadee's is clearly a stand-out! Highly recommend.
AMAZING!
This was seriously one of the best meals Iβve had, from service, to ambience, to flavor it was all around amazing! I will most definitely go back!
Urban oasis
Reservations at a "traditional" dinner time are darn near impossible and they only schedule a month out, but if you can score a table -- go for it. Service is excellent and the servers know the drinks and food inside and out, so they can give you great guidance. The bar area is super modern with floor-to-ceiling windows that have a view of the gorgeous courtyard. If it rains you can't eat outside, but don't be too disappointed b/c the interior has a cool vibe as well. We are Pusadee's customers from the old days (when there was the pergola and pad thai on the menu) who hadn't been back since the renovation and WOW -- talk about a 180. Wear your nice jeans and good shoes for this one and enjoy your time at this urban oasis.
#1 Restaurant in Pittsburgh
The number one restaurant in Pittsburgh. The food and drinks are creative and taste amazing. They switch up their menu as well and the ambiance is something I've never seen before. When my bf and I are celebrating a special occasion we come here. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed. The service is wonderful as well here no matter who you interact with.
Best restaurant in Pittsburgh
This is the best restaurant in Pittsburgh. Amazing food, beautiful drinks, great ambiance, super friendly staff! I especially recommend the very summery and refreshing Japanese Denim (roku gin + watermelon/mint + a lil spice). There are no misses on this menu -- but you should try the sweet potato + roti dish and the sweet chilli garlic pork. They also do substitutions for veggie folk, which is great!
#1 in Pittsburgh for 5 Star Dining
This was our second visit to Pusadees Garden, even better than the first. Husband had the sausage appetizer with a delectable, spicy eggplant sauce. I had the 17 ingredient salad for the second time. More than enough for two so I took some home and am eating it now. (Can't resist) Our waiter Jesse was so warm, knowledgable and personable. I debated between a couple kinds of wine. He correctly predicted the right one for me but happily brought me a sample of both kinds. I had the halibut (again) for an entree. Never had anything like this. Cooked to perfection with the most delicious sauce and veggies. " Husband had the beef stir fry. Spicy with maybe a basil? flavor. Wasn't my cup of tea but he loved it. No wonder, people are lining up outside in the cold weather at 4:40 to get in. Even in the cold weather, the indoor ambiance is clean and beautiful. I also love that they are VERY attentive and knowledgable about food allergies and intolerances. It is my new favorite restaurant.
