Food poisoning and terrible experience
My partner got food poisoning from Qui Plume La Lune. She was vomiting all night following our dinner, and 12 hours later was still very sick. We ordered the Lucy menu (5-course tasting). When I emailed the restaurant to inform them of what happened, they were dismissive. They asked for “medical proof” of her food poisoning (see my second photo below) and refused to offer us a partial refund. We were so excited about this dining experience, as it had come as a personal recommendation from a friend. I am extremely disappointed that this happened, and even more so how they have handled my complaint. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone and am still in disbelief that my partner’s food poisoning came from a Michelin star restaurant.

Qui plume la lune in the 11ème has held a start for a few years and we decided to check it out during our last visit to Paris. There are two dining rooms with separate entrances and we were seated in the second, 'plainer', room. We had the four course menu "Angèle". From the menu, the starter of risotto with ceps and Burgundy truffles stood out, not lest because of the excellent sauce. The pigeon Miéral was also very good. By contrast, a fish dish fell a little short, and a dish of mushrooms with corn mousse tasted a tad too sweet for a main. We had a good bottle of Clos Baquey 2016; I like the wines of Elian da Ros. Service by a Peruvian waitress was charming.

Very nice place and very kind staff. 5-course menu with a prevalence of fish, good balance of flavours. Dessert in 5 dishes with an exceptional strawberry and tomato mousse. To try!

Fantastic meal that included a special menu for our daughter. Just a delightful experience and would return next time in Paris.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent surprise!
Invited by our son for our respective birthdays, we weren't expecting anything in particular... What a mistake! Between the room staff (many have the good taste of being Italian!!) and the quite incredible decor (see the feather chandelier!) but also and above all - especially the cuisine, we had a hell of a lot of good surprises and of pleasures. The mixtures are clever, the cooking is perfect, and the seasonings are very precise. We weren't expecting anything, but we got everything! And even more... Very highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyThe special NYE menu was a poem, the wine pairing excellent & the atmosphere the perfect mix of professional & personal
I had the pleasure of enjoying the special New Year's Eve dinner with my partner. It was a truly unique experience. We have been to a few Michelin-starred restaurants in the past, but this was the perfect mix of professionalism and personality. Both the menu and the sommelier's recommendations exceeded our expectations and made the evening special. We will be back again.

If you are a person of color, think twice before you dine here. We were treated so badly it ruined my day. We made a reservation in person. The lady receptionist gave us a table in the back under an air conditioner in a dark corner. The only place worse would have been a table in the kitchen. The entire dining room was emptied and she placed us there. Save your money and go some where that welcomes a diverse customer base. The lady receptionist needs some training. You cannot treat customers so differently and not get called out on it.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food ruined by snobby servive
Food was wonderful and creative. Great use of simple products and skill to bring plates like you’ve never tasted. The lunch menu is great value, you just need to be careful, extras come at a price, but that’s standard. I was however disappointed by several mistakes in service, including completely forgetting to describe the food and some comments about the order - yes, someone at our table ordered two coffees, how outrageous. Sadly it does taint my recollection. A month in, I remember much less the food, than thinking the waiters were borderline rude. And in my view that makes it unworthy of a Michelin star.

An excellent meal complimented by 1st class service. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. My wife wasn’t feeling too great and was coughing, the waiter without prompting went out of his way to return with a honey laced hot drink that cured her immediately. Would definitely recommend to friends if looking for a high quality dining experience in Paris.

There are two separate entrances to this restaurant, so you will be directed to one of them. Nicely decorated interior with lots of space between tables. When you book you have to pick one type of menu depending on how many dishes you want. The decides what you eat, you don’t know in advance (you will be asked for allergies though). Food is creative and delicious, although portions are a bit small. A wine paring is available, but the wines are not fantastic. Maybe better to order wine separately.

Im not the average"michelin star restaurant visitor (but i guess most TripAdvisor users arent as well) so take that in mind while reading this review.
Wow!!!
And again wow!
What a marvelous experience in qui plume la lune.
We came in for a lunch deal.
Great service, nice atmosphere for a parisian noon.
Dishes were superb, one by one. Every little bite full of surprises.
The starter was amazingly aesthetic (see picture). First course - escargot which swam in a sauce that just blew my mind.
Main course- chicken breast, made to perfection, came with beat rout sauce, and Jerusalem artichoke sauce which had surprisingly intense flavours.
Just as we thought it couldn't get any better, the desserts came.
So, one word: wow
In a few words: definitely worth it
Food was OK - service just not good enough
Overall - this is not Michelin level.
The food was good, but not impressive,
The restaurant and the atmosphere was very nice.
The service was just not good enough. It was polite, but if you insist of taking both water and wine away from the table - you have to be attentive. They weren't. We kept running out of something to drink, and they served the first course before we even had been offered wine.
And the waiter spoke almost no English, so in some cases we had to guess what we ate.
I was not offended by the prices in general, but we paid € 60 for water alone! I have never paid that much for water.
The day was saved by decent food and great company, but overall this was a three star dining experience.
