Absolutely delicious!
I vacationed in London in Dec 2015 and my hotel was in walking distance to this restaurant. The concierge recommended it and I gave it a shot. I absolutely LOVED this place! So much that I went back the next night. lol. Must visit!
Be the first to ReplyAFFORDABLE LUXURY: Michelin-starred brunch YOU MUST TRY
๐ Quilon: An Exceptional Gastronomic Experience ๐ Located in the heart of London, Quilon is a true haven for Indian cuisine enthusiasts. I had the pleasure of trying their brunch, served every Saturday and Sunday and I was absolutely delighted. ๐ฝ๏ธ A Dream Brunch The Quilon brunch is a feast for the senses. Served at the table, it features an array of exceptional dishes created by their talented chefs. The cuisine is South-West coastal Indian, with a Michelin star to its name. ๐น Cocktails and Delights The cocktails are a must-try: the Qojito with green chili-infused vodka and the Closer to the Edge with tequila and house-infused spices were my favourites. As for the food, I sampled both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian brunch menus. My highlights? The kosambari in a watermelon cup, herb-crusted seatrout, mini shrimp dosa, Malabar lamb curry, paneer, and tempered asparagus. I even asked for seconds of the best paratha Iโve ever tasted! For dessert, the almond and berries roulade stole the show. And letโs not forget the masala chaiโthe best Iโve ever had, even compared to my trips to India! ๐ Ambiance and Service The service is impeccable: cheerful and well-prepared waitstaff make the experience even more enjoyable. The location itself is fantastic, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey. In summary, Quilon is a culinary gem that deserves a visit. I canโt wait to go back! ๐
Be the first to ReplyGreat Indian restaurant in London

Be the first to ReplyDelicious southern Indian cuisine
Quilon lives up to its Michelin star reputation. The menu is laden with delicacies from Indiaโs southern regions. An emphasis on fish and seafood but with enough choices for all preferences. We left ourselves in the hands of the chef who presented a selection of appetizers: mini dosa, chicken hariyali kabab and fish. Followed by fish curry, lamb biriyani and pepper chicken. Everything was delicious as were the cocktails.
Be the first to ReplyQuilon- one of our 3 favorite London restaurants
Quilon is an exquisite South Indian restaurant nestled within the luxurious Taj Hotel, a mere three-minute walk from the Marriott St. Ermin's Hotel. Upon the recommendation of our concierge, we decided to have a late lunch at Quilon and were greeted with the ambiance of elegance and glamour that the Taj Hotel exudes. The restaurant's staff, seemingly all of Indian origin, were incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly throughout our visit. The atmosphere at Quilon is fashionable and spacious, with well-appointed tables providing a comfortable dining experience. Our lunch began with complimentary appetizers and a delectable hot rasam drink, both bursting with authentic South Indian flavors. The menu offered an extensive selection of wines, beers, cocktails, and mocktails to suit every preference. Quilon's focus on South Indian cuisine sets it apart from other Michelin-starred restaurants, offering a refreshing change from the more common North Indian fare. The dishes we ordered, including crispy okra, roasted potatoes, mango curry, Mysore parathas, and steaming hot white rice, were all out of this world and showcased the restaurant's commitment to delivering exceptional South Indian flavors. Quilon is not to be missed, and it ranks among the top three restaurants we visited in London, alongside Clos Maggiore and Tavolino. This dining experience has left us with a lasting impression and a newfound appreciation for the unique and delightful flavors of South Indian cuisine.

Not much to say. Food was salty, Not good for non halal people. Better priced in local area. Fix menu , not good. Not sure why prices so high for the food that is very basic Indian food.
Be the first to ReplyAn exceptional brunch
The family visited for a Motherโs Day brunch. The food was of exceptional quality and the service was exemplary. This continues to be the very best South Asian restaurant in the UK.
Be the first to ReplyNot your standard Indian fare
Quilon deserves its Michelin star. The service was friendly, efficient, and unstuffy, the menu unusual in its southwestern coastal cuisine, and the preparation delicious. London has many fine Indian restaurants, but this has to be among the very best.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service and interesting flavor combinations with our meal
Amazing service. Traveling with kids under age ten and they both said it was their favorite meal of the trip. The adults did the seafood tasting menu and it was very good. Plenty of food and some interesting flavor combinations. Masala butter lobster was amazing! Would go back for certain!
Be the first to Reply5 stars all round
My wife and myself had an excellent evening meal at Quillon. We have eaten at many many Indian restaurants over the years but the South Indian cuisine on offer was a revelation compared to your ' standard ' Indian restaurant . The food was very tasty and flavoursome with the use of spices enhancing the quality of the food .The staff were very attentive and knowledable and made us feel valued as customers . We departed as two very satisfied customers .

Very good food, especially halibut and black cod! Good service, nice place. Can definitely recommend it! Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyImproper treatment at the door
It might be a great restaurant but the lady who we asked if they have a table for the 5 of us was not very respectful. The whole restaurant was empty except two tables and she said they wouldnโt have any space. After we asked if we could wait for a table she first said โ10 minutesโ. We asked if we could wait at the bar and first she said yes and then all sudden, after she has talked to her colleague, she said we couldnโt wait because the kitchen were about to close. It was a Sunday at 19:53. I donโt think so. She could have said that time would be too short for a tasting menu or whatever the problem might have been. Or better: She could have just been honest and said that they donโt want us there. We all felt quite offended by the way she behaved towards us.
Be the first to ReplyUpdate after third visit
I've reviewed Quilon previously here on TA. And both times with praise. On our third visit the praise remains, even though we did not quite experience the same absolute joy in every respect. Food still delicious, especially the fish/shellfish dishes. However, the menu could be a bit updated. We lacked the "surprise" feeling and felt that Quilon could do with some innovative thoughts in the kitchen. Service works fine - even though sometimes a bit "quirky". No shortage of staff, so it's more a matter of too many people on the floor than the other way around... It is expensive and during the inflation period the world has gone through recent years, the prices are not going down. It felt a little too expensive this time. In any case, the Quilon deserves its Michelin star. But should perhaps give a careful thought how to keep it in the future...

Had been looking at booking here for some time but with the strange no prices on website and some of the reviews on here , I was hesitant. Today we took the plunge and weโre not disappointed. The restaurant is situated to the side of the Taj hotel .its a pleasant space and as we were the first to arrive , it felt quiet and calm . We choose a booth seat and as no one was opposite at the facing table it felt like private dining . Iโm sure this might be a different experience when busy but was good for us. Our servers ( Harshita and Muhamed ) were very welcoming and friendly and helpful with any menu questions . We started with a isodori cocktail - blue curacao, coconut rum , coconut water . A theatrical cocktail with a bubble on top that when burst , releases smoke and the scent of coconut. The taste was as good as it looked . As we are both pescatarian, we were accommodated with a mixture of vegetarian and fish dishes from the two tasting menus : starter of mini popadum style crisps and various dips , a galette with plum sauce , baked halibut, crispy prawns , mango curry , rice and paratha bread . We finished with bibinca , a lovely laminated chocolate pancake tart . We also had a carafe of a cheekily named pinot noir called Fat Bastard! Lol So all in a Michelin starred meal for two with cocktails , wine and coffee for ยฃ145 -wonderful! Will definitely be returning soon!
Be the first to ReplyRude and inexperienced staff, spoiled my night
I had horrible experience at Quilon, it was a special get together of our family and Quilon just ruined it all. The service specially the manager who was attending us showed no sign of professionalism and was so rude. They really tested my patience as i was so uncomfortable i wanted to leave but didnโt only because it was a family event which was already ruined by the staff. If not lower than 0 i would rate my experience 0, very disappointed

Be the first to ReplyExquisite Dining Experience , Michelin Stared Indian Cuisine
Every bite was an experience. Perfectly cooked prawns, black cod and side dishes with condiments. Generous portions, helpful staff, who explained the exotic menu. I have eaten in Michelin starred restaurants in France, Spain , Germany, Italy and the orient and this eveningโs meal was a wonderful unique experience. Check out their web site. Quilonโs Michelin star is definitely deserved. The use of spices and totally unique use of cauliflower, okra prepared in wonderful unique ways different than I could have imagined. For the finest Indian cuisine go to Quilon, in London

We visited for a Fatherโs Day brunch. As ever, the food, wines and service were exemplary. This continues to be the very best South Asian restaurant in the UK.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous 50th Birthday Celebrations
We went to Quilon to celebrate my 50th birthday with close friends who travelled far and wide to attend. QUILON did not disappoint on any front . The front was sumptuous and the service was outstanding. We were treated to a very special evening - the food was extraordinary - subtle flavours and beautifully presented. Lots of South Indian treats which I loved! Service was impeccable and nothing was a problem. Dishes were well explained and the staff were unobtrusive. The service provided really made the whole evening. Viji and Veena went above and beyond - so huge thanks to them. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want tasty food and professional service. Thank you to all at Quilon , including Santosh who worked tirelessly ahead of our meal to make sure everything went well on the night.
Be the first to ReplyDinner Was Great
Second time at this place after 5 yrs of time. Enjoyed the dinner for the second time. Food was fantastic, ambiance was great and service was excellent. I did not see many cocktails with Gin, I am a Gin fan especially when you are in England. Highly recommended if you are staying in central London.
Be the first to ReplyWow, wow, wow!
We wanted Indian food and the restaurant we intended on going to was closed. This was close to our hotel so we made a last minute reservation. We went not knowing it was a Michelin star restaurant, so we weren't prepared for the initial sticker shock, but quickly forgot about it after the first taste of our appetizers. Everything tasted incredibly different and was absolutely fantastic. Our waiter helped us chose our meal and we even ordered two dishes twice. I would highly recommend Quilon for a special occasion.

Fantastic night with our daughter
Fantastic service and fantastic food. We are a family who enjoy seafood so the fish tasting menu was perfect for us. Every dish a delight. My wife can only digest gluten free food and the staff were excellent. I was a little jealous of some of her variations, especially the Dosa she was served. It was so good I think they should serve it to all guests.

Absolutely fabulous. This was our second visit and everything was absolutely superb. Let the chef design the menu around your preferences. You will love it!
Be the first to ReplyLovely food
We had the taster menu which was really tasty and we loved trying food we would not normally choose
The restaurant had a lovely feel and the staff were helpful and very friendly
As it was my birthday they brought out a special cake which finished the evening
The only down side was that the alcoholic drinks were expensive however this didnโt effect our overall experience
