Great restaurant
A great restaurant. I ate here twice. Jumbo grilled prawns were delicious and on the second night I had baked aubergine , served in a fan shape with a tomato and walnut sauce. Th staff are incredibly warm and hard working and it's good value for money. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the blue mosque but away from the main tourist drag , tucked away . If you order the clay pot kebab ( not sure the correct name) it is served with a huge amount of drama, on the flame, fireworks finishing with the pot being smashed - fun to watch. The owner and his staff have so much energy and create an amazing atmospher - I highly recommend.
Worth a visit
Everything you could ask for from a family run restaurant, great food, excellent service with happy smiles and very reasonable prices. We will visit again and will highly recommend this gem to all

We had a fantastic meal with excellent service. I had the Anatolian dish of meat with damsons apricots figs and raisins in a honey and spice sauce . Soo good and something I hadnโt found in other restaurants

Good food and amazing staff.
Chances are that you will be greeted by one of the friendliest people in Istanbul attempting to tempt you eat here, and it's worth it. The staff here are amazing and there is a good selection of food and drink. The shared meze is excellent. Prices were average for the area but the food was good, so definitely worth the price. We were there during UEFA Euros 2024 and they were very accommodating and let us watch both the England game and the Turkey game. It was an amazing atmosphere. We would recommend this restaurant and would eat here again.

Hakim (small Dusan Tadic) best waiter in Old Town of Istanbul. Best restaurant and food in Sultanahmet. We are definitely looking forward to come back again.
Good food and friendly staff
Great food, very friendly staff. We end up going 3 times in or 4 day visits to Istambul. Our kids just wanted to eat there. Highly recommend to visit this restaurant
A good experience
We happened upon this restaurant as it was close to our hotel. We liked it so much we went back the next night. Hakim and his team were good fun and the food was good. They even gave us complimentary starters. We also enjoyed nice cold draught Efes - a delight after hours of sightseeing in 30 degrees heat.
One of the best restaurants in the area & definitely worth a visit
Staying in Istanbul for 4 nights and ate here twice. Very welcoming, lovely atmosphere and good food. Service was good - nothing too much trouble and prices very reasonable. We donโt usually go to the same place twice but decided to eat here on our last night to finish off our holiday. We werenโt disappointed. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.

Go for it
I walked in because they didnโt pressure me to enter which I like. Staff was so friendly, attentive and didnโt hover. Complementary dessert and tea, good food. I was alone and the friendly waiter chatted with me about my travels :)

I have been to this place more times than I can count. First of all! The food is delicious and the portions is well-balanced. But the other thing that makes this place my favourite is the hospitality and service. It kind of feels like home. They are always ready to invite you in with smiles and conversations .

Easily the best food we ate whilst staying in Istanbul, the service was incredible which made the dining an even greater experience, if you are in the area I would thoroughly recommend

Excellent food, excellent service and wonderful staff
We went to Rainbow restaurant this evening and we had a very positive and nice experience for the food quality and the nice atmosphere created by Hakim and the whole team. They are all very welcoming and everything we tried was very tasty at a reasonable and honest price. We had a typical casserole dish, the Testi Kebab and the Kofte meatballs. We were amazed and very happy. Also the presentation, preparation and the serving way was very special for one of the dishes, with the terracotta pot fired and broken in front of you and then the casserole inside the pot served on the plate straight away, everything offered with side of rice and potatoes. Very nice Turkish tea and dessert too. We would highly recommend a visit to this nice restaurant in the heart of Sultanahmet, Istanbul. Thanks from Taiwan and Italy
Something smells Fishy and it isnโt just the food
This restaurant definitely does not warrant all the positive reviews. Basic restaurant with food so underwhelming and expensive for what you get. The restaurant is cold as itโs not properly heated, the furniture and overall design is shabby and old. The baklava was old and definitely looked as though it had been sitting for awhile. Do not believe the hype something smells fishy and itโs definitely coming from all the positive reviews.

Great for lunch
Came here for lunch, place has a historical background. Recommended by a guide and weโre very glad to be here. You can either pick soup or seafood and all of the are the best iโve tried in istanbul.
Good cafe for visit
Good restaurant, variable menu a lot of options even for vegetarians. Excellent service and personal. So if you gonna be in old city, visit this place for sure

A lovely restaurant with very friendly staff.
My daughter had read about the street cats of Istanbul and asked the waiter. They went to the kitchen and grabbed a dish of milk and took the kids across the street to see if they could coax the kittens out. The food was great, my youngest ordered some sort of chicken curry and although probably not exactly ethnically correct was some of the most tasty sauce I've ever had. I wanted to dip all of my roasted veg in it. All the food was good, but skip the dolmas and the kunefe. It was good but there is better out there.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FamousStation67, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FamousStation67 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FamousStation67 for any questions Peter may have as FamousStation67 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FamousStation67 now uses their connections at Rainbow fish & meat restaurant Istanbul to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FamousStation67 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FamousStation67 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FamousStation67's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
