Amazing location and vibe but the food is meh.
Love the cocktails and thinking they have some solid dishes but brunch was overrated. Very thoughtful staff and awesome private event space. Prices have just really increased lately
Be the first to ReplyThis was an amazing dining experience.
The food was absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had. The atmosphere was very enjoyable and the open roof to see the sky really set the vibe. Top notch drinks and food perfected. 5/5 going again.

This place has a different menu every night, so the menu on their site isn't what's available and it's the reason we went, so everything we planned to get wasn't available. The food was in tiny portions and nothing was memorable or worth a recommendation. We sat in a nearly empty restaurant and the service was sub par. I wouldn't go back.
Be the first to ReplyAlways a great experience and today was no exception.
I took my boyfriend in for brunch to celebrate our 12-year anniversary. I indicated we were celebrating when I made the reservation. The folks at the host station wished us a happy anniversary, as did our server. As she took our drink orders, we explained that we had been coming there since their soft opening and were excited to celebrate with them. She brought us each a small glass of sparkling wine with our cocktails. Neither of us usually drinks wine but we each commented on how nice it was and even finished our servings! She also brought us a complimentary blood orange pana cotta as a dessert. We shared the Maine lobster congee, duck confit chilaquiles, and fried quail and waffles. It was just a bit too much food for me but only barely. Everything was delicious as always and the ambiance is always perfect in such a beautiful space.
Be the first to ReplySalty food and expensive.
Service was great so I gave it a couple stars. Ambiance is nice as well, but could be better lit in the restaurant especially during the evening.
Be the first to ReplyI came here for an influencer event.
The restaurant itself is very nice. Definitely sit outside as there's much more lighting and it is pretty when the sun goes down. The food here is phenomenal. I felt that the scallops were my favorite as they were cooked so perfectly that dessert was also an amazing combo of fruits and warm donuts. The steak was also one of my favorite topped with the mushroom. I wasn't particularly fan of the cheese as it might have been better if it was just mashed potatoes.
Be the first to ReplyLovely place with a nice atmosphere.
I think food is a bit overpriced but maybe it's just me. The food was however really good and has friendly service as well.
Be the first to ReplyThe food and service were fantastic.
Our server was Emily and she was so sweet. And the Somme Chris helped us pick out the perfect wine pairing for our steak and pasta .

From the impeccable service to the incredible dishes, this is a fantastic restaurant! The Brazilian bread balls that were served upon seating would have been sufficient they were that good. Yet, course after course, the food was a cut above in every way. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyScrumptious food in a fabulous setting.
I highly recommend Redbird. Parking is tough, but they do have a valet service. The service and ambiance are top notch.

Always such a bad vibe when you're not greeted upon entry - isn't that hospitality 101? Boooooooo! 3 people at the host desk & not one "Hello." Big yikes. Moving on to our reservation... we were sat a bit early, which was great... at a table that just didn't have a leg to stand on. but seriously, it was annoying worrying if my Prosecco was going to stay on the table or not.We ordered all of the carbs for the table - the almond croissant was divine the scone & the biscuits were also notable. We ordered a large French press to share & beverages to toast - a Mimosa, Bloody Mary & a Nogada, all great drinks, we had more just to confirm. We felt really rushed to order, which we didn't love as we caught up & carb loaded. Aside from that, the service was lovely at the table. For our meal, we enjoyed a Frittata for myself & the Shrimp & Grits were enjoyed by my friends. One friend was from Atlanta & was pleased with the flavors offered from this dish, the other battled the spice, which we found entertaining. Note: if you're vegan - this is not the place for you. Not even a little bit. I did enjoy the portion and flavors of the frittata though. Also note, this place is a tight squeeze. The table beside us had been taken before we arrived, left & reseated - an uncomfortable closeness in my opinion, literally a half foot more would be more appropriate, but walls gonna wall I guess. After our meal we enjoyed the lounge to affirm the cocktails were as dynamic in their variety as they are in flavor & presentation... I was so pleased that a cocktail most bars can't make was able to be made here. Bonus point. The bar service was expedient & personable - would recommend.Overall, it was a nice experience, but I wish the front staff could be more representative of the expected vibe here. I can get ignored in the valley.

The place is pretty cute with high ceilings and friendly servers. There is a $15 valet out front for convenience. The Bosc pear salad was super salty and had a lot of contrasting flavors that didn't sit well. Some bitter, some gritty, some tangy, some sweet. It looked and sounded right, but the taste was off. 1 star. The BASQUE BAKED EGGS on the other hand was pretty good. Deep hearty flavors that worked well and left me pretty satisfied. 4.5 stars. Three stars because I'm on the fence if I'd go back, but worth a try if you don't get the Bosc pear salad.
Be the first to ReplyWhat little service I found was poor at best.
Simply put this place is too cool for school. Forgetting they're in the hospitality business. What a waste of a great build out.Visited on a Sunday, party of 6, 2pm reservation. Great setting and beautiful bar but that's to be expected as so are many other spots in downtown. What set this place apart was the absence of service and awareness of guests. The hostess was the single shining star that not only showed us to our table, lit up the already bright patio with her sweetness and smile. And that was the end of human interaction. Between seating, orders, cocktails, and food arrival, long waits only seemed longer as not one person from our server to the numerous staff but who seemed to be a floor manager checked on us nor paid attention to the table needs. Our server seemed to have checked out halfway through our 2 hour experience, dictated by their timing and not our drag, followed by another server who asked for another round and soon after disappeared as well. Pathetic experience finished by a weak French pressed coffee that got ignored when told about and left undrunk.

Awesome waiter, great ambiance and tasty food. Try the duck chilaquilles
Be the first to ReplyI've been wanting to dine at Redbird for a long time.
I finally went with some friends for a birthday dinner and it is absolutely spectacular. The space is beautiful. There's a nice bar area which is in a separate room from the main dining area. I love the ambience. The restaurant has a high noise level when it's full - which I imagine is probably all of the time. The food is outstanding - from the everything rolls with date butter (my friend said "date butter is the new honey butter" and boy was her right) to the beet salad, to the rib eye with the best onion rings you've ever tasted. We had two scrumptious desserts - the chocolate mousse cake which I think had a lovely cardamom taste to it, and the sticky toffee pudding... yummmm. Our waitress was an absolute dream with her suggestions and taking such good care of us.

Food was delicious: beet salad, dinner rolls, the wild boar and the truffle pasta. Dessert and drinks were amazing! Sticky buns & mocha cake really good. Christian, our server, was an absolute delight and treated us like royalty! We will be back!

GETTING HERE: They have valet parking, but I was luckily able to snag a free parking meter for at 8p right next to the valet. I took stairs going into the restaurant, so I'm not sure if there is an accessible option. THE VIBE: The venue is so cool, as this is part of the Vibiana, an old monastery! If I was with my girlfriends instead of my partner I would have been taking Instagram photos in the hallway by the bathroom!DRINKS: My partner got the Turf Club, which was Vermouth in a cocktail glass with Absinthe chilling in a vial for after. I don't like those alcohols, but I took a sip and they seemed high quality. FOOD: They start by giving you some little Brazilian bread cheese balls, pão de queijo. I loooove these. For appetizers I ordered the Pork Belly (the reason I came, for re:HER restaurant week). The fat to meat ratio was too fatty for me, and the fruit was a little too sweet, but the meat was cooked perfectly and the black rice was a terrific combo. My partner ordered the chawanmushi, which is a Japanese egg custard, but this was done with a fusion twist. There was Maine lobster and fried enoki mushrooms. It was great except for being a little salty. I'll get this next time! For entrees I got the sea bass, which was perfectly cooked, but I didn't like the purée it sat on (parsnips maybe?). The accoutrements were good. My partner got the New York Strip Steak, which he said was cooked perfectly. I tried it and didn't like the sauce Diane, which is clearly a me problem. For dessert we shared the Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was not as sweet as you usually get (in a good way). The white chocolate dollop adds a cool creamy delight and the crunchy granola gives it a great texture contrast. All in all we had a great time. My biggest complaints are that the food is a tad too salty and that the price is steep ($270 for two people and we were at the perfectly full point). That being said, the flavor combinations are great here, so I would come back.

My overall takeaway from redbird is that i was impressed with the way that the menu created familiar experiences and flavor profiles in unexpected ways. What sounded like a strange and unfamiliar combination of ingredients on paper came together into comforting dishes that reminded me of old favorites.Trying the cocktails here is a must. The restaurant was a bit loud.Pricey for sure--but highly recommend!

Neal Fraser has mastered his menu and forever changed my prospective on dining in Los Angeles. Our table was dressed with delightful dishes that enticed our utensils into a mischievous dance. Tango, to be precise. Sharp bold moves with absolute beauty around every turn. My main was the California Sea Bass, which was cooked to perfection with a wonderful array of textures to taste. It was paired perfectly with kale gnocchi, foraged mushrooms, sun chokes, & porcini nage. Our service was exquisite and the Ambience speaks for itself. Red bird is a restaurant I plan to return again and again.

The service was amazing, never had to ask for a refill or ask to have dishes removed from the table, very attentive. I love that they bag your to go plate and give you a ticket to pick it up on your way out. Prevents me from forgetting my bag and also keeps the table clear. The ambiance was pleasant. I love the high ceiling, the subtle greenery, and the color coordination of the seating. Also, the complimentary Brazilian cheese bread was delicious, couldn't get enough of it!
Be the first to ReplyWent on a girls brunch here.
The staff was super nice and accommodating. Everything on the menu sounded super awesome but I'm a burger girl! Lol. Burger was smaller than I would have liked it, if I'm being honest, but it is a very cute place to have brunch.
Be the first to ReplyThe venue is very beautiful and relaxed.
We got the Chawanmushi as a appetizer. Then the porterhouse meal for 2 and a side of potato. The meat itself was good, but the onion rings and potatoes were over seasoned tasting like garlic and salt. The serves were very fast and professional. For dessert we got the mousse cake with ice cream it was good. They have valet and cool straws that doubles as spoons. Over all it's a nice environment but the dinner was just alright.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was alright but honestly not amazing or something
The food was alright but honestly not amazing or something I would go back for. The location itself and interior was very nice and had a good ambiance. However I have to say that the servers and workers weren't the most inviting which is why I took off a star. Maybe it's because I went in the morning for brunch but the vibes I got from the server was definitely not the most positive.
Be the first to ReplyLunch was fantastic.
Service, presentation, flavor, variety, and atmosphere were all excellent. Everything about the experience was excellent. They offer fresh, approachable ideas that are flawlessly executed. It's fantastic, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Eat here if you have the chance!
Be the first to ReplyAdorable spot with a super cool ambiance.
The dining area is filled with beautiful plants and natural lighting. Our food was delicious and our server was kind enough to take our picture. They have a wide selection of beer as well as specialty cocktails.
