Magical Meal
Without a doubt one of the best meals and experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived it was a magical evening. Each course had a story and not a gimmicky one but a meaningful story about where it was sourced and how it was prepared. The service was friendly but professional. The setting was enchanting. I had the n/a drink pairing and it was perfect and delicious. This place deserves all its accolades and more.
The best of Copenhagen hospitality and food.
We were made to feel special right from the greeting at the front door. Not just exceptional food but very attentive waiters. Our head waiter Aaron was very friendly and we had a great evening, largely thanks to him. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to experience something unique and sustainable.
An unforgettable dining experience
An unbelievably great dining experience from start to finish. We had multiple dietary restrictions in our party (vegan, pescatarian, peanut allergy). It didn't matter—the team at Alouette created an unforgettable menu of plates and drinks, paced perfectly and delivered by an attentive and engaging staff.
Best meal I ever had!
Stop everything and book this restaurant! This was the most amazing meal my husband and I have ever had. The story they created with the meal made it an unforgettable journey for us. Honestly, my husband refuses to eat at asparagus at home and now her is looking forward to it (poor guy, I could never get asparagus to taste that amazing but I’ll try!) the service was amazing. She modified my wine selections for me and it was perfection. I honestly don’t have one bad thing to say, thank you to the amazing staff for a core memory we will keep forever!
Disappointing experience
My husband and I were disappointed with the experience we had at Alouette. The atmosphere is appealing and the staff was friendly and inviting, however the overall service was below par for a restaurant of this stature. The pacing was excruciatingly slow and we were left waiting for long periods between courses. We felt exhausted and were almost nodding off by the end. We understand that if you’re having a beverage pairing you might want more time between courses to finish your drinks, or time to digest if the servings are more substantial. However my husband drinks only water, and I only wanted a couple of glasses of wine, so the white wine grew warm in the glass as I waited, and food servings were small, so a quicker pace would have been appreciated. The suggested wines didn’t impress me much either. We’ve had a few tasting menus during this trip and all of the other restaurants but one (which was not Michelin starred) consulted with us about timing and adjusted service to the guests’ preferences. At the end, the check was promptly delivered upon request but we had to wait about 10 minutes for our coats. At that point we just felt frustrated. We might have forgiven the slow service if the food had lived up to our expectations, but we weren’t pleased with that either. The beginning small bites were quite good, but we didn’t enjoy the subsequent courses as much. The worst was a grilled pork dish. The pork was rare (which doesn’t necessarily concern us, we prefer pink in any case), however it was so tough that I could barely cut it and couldn’t chew it, so I left most of it on the plate. If you’re going to serve any meat, especially pork, it should be tender and flavorful. We’re adventurous eaters without dietary restrictions, though with tasting menus we expect that some dishes might not match our tastes, but we’ve rarely been this disappointed with several dishes. At other restaurants we’ve enjoyed every bite. The price would not have been unreasonable for a fine dining tasting experience if the food and service had met expectations. As it was, we felt that it was a poor value and wish that we had chosen better.
Let down by the service
Very mixed feelings after our visit to Alouette this weekend. We have visited them once when the restaurant was still at islands brygge and absolutely loved it so perhaps the expectations were also high because of that. The food was good - although some of it may not have been to my personal taste (not a fan of lamb and the entire main plot was built around lamb - bad luck), I could appreciate the work and craftsmanship that had gone into a lot of it. We took the whole experience package, and some of the wines were a little too experimental for us but still all good. It was not extremely pretentious but some was a little ‘emperors new clothes’ for me. The boozy white cherry was just too boozy. The service is where we felt mostly let down. When you pay 3500dkk/500e per person for dinner, the service is a huge part of it. The welcome was great - a lovely touch welcoming us and having a card from the team to congratulate me for my bday we were celebrating. The Italian lady serving us was friendly (albeit a bit inexperienced) and it was lovely that Nick himself served us a dish as well. However, as soon as we finished the meal, we were ushered to the lounge area for the last part of the experience. Here we were left to drink our water for a long time - seeing 2-3 tables after us being served petit four and drinks around us. Once the 2 waiters at the bar finally realized they had forgotten us, one of them came to us asking “oh would you like something more?”. We replied we’d like the petit four and cocktail as per the menu. A strange thing to need to clarify. It’s hard to describe the step down from the restaurant side to the lounge - at the restaurant I felt we had about 10 people serving dishes to us and attentive of rearranging the napkin while you went to the bathroom etc. At the lounge, the guests were suddenly left to the two waiters to take care and this was clearly not enough. As we left the restaurant, I noticed other guests having received the menu of the evening. They also forgot to bring us those. It might seem tough to deduct stars for the wine pairing and service but to us especially the ending of the experience ruined it completely. It felt like they needed the table cleared for next people asap, and we had to be moved aside and didn’t need the service anymore. Because of how we felt when we left the restaurant, I could not recommend the experience to others - you can have similar level food and better service elsewhere in Copenhagen.
Delicious Cuisine, Very Poor Service and Hospitality 😟
Culinarily speaking, we had a successful evening. Some of the dishes, like the shrimp with pinecones and the dessert with chamomile oil, were incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing and not up to the level I would expect. Everything felt very rushed, and we felt like we were on a conveyor belt. This also made us feel completely disconnected from the restaurant and unable to immerse ourselves in the experience. Additionally, the transition to the coldly designed lounge was very abrupt and didn’t feel harmonious. The service staff came suddenly, perhaps a minute after the last course, and abruptly told us to follow them as we were now moving to the lounge. The lounge also felt unwelcoming, as if they didn’t want guests to stay for long. It’s a shame – the otherwise good food led to an overall not-so-enjoyable experience. Some of the service staff seemed poorly trained and very stressed. If I’m paying nearly €600 for two person, I expect significantly more. I would not go here again.

Nick and his team delivered, big time. New location right in the heart of the city. Fantastic chefs table experience celebrating the start of our stay in CPH. Food on the spot, wine selection as well. Seamless service. Highly to recommend when in the area. Thank you!

Had a great business dinner at this place. We had the entire restaurant booked out for ourselves. Great service and great food.

Was an amazing foodie experience. Sammi and I had such a fun evening of food and pairings. Loved the graffiti entrance off the alleyway.
Extremely disappointed in service for a restaurant of this caliber
While Alouette boasts an elegant atmosphere and high culinary standards, our experience was marred by service that didn't live up to its reputation. We came to Alouette during our honeymoon and mentioned that in the reservation. Outside of the greeter congratulating us, there was no mention of the honeymoon throughout the night. After our meal, we were left unattended for 45 minutes, making us feel overlooked and diminishing the overall experience. We were sitting at the table just drinking water (no coffee/tea or drinks) after dinner. I had to physically get up to go find a FOH staff-member to get the check. We reached out privately to the management in hopes of discussing our concerns, but the response we received was less than satisfactory. After a suggestion for a partial refund for the poor service, that seemed to trigger quite the nerve, as the owner Nick went into a long rant. Comments made by the management, such as implying they "did us a favor" regarding the timing of our departure and questioning our preparedness for the Danish weather, came across as dismissive and pedantic. We hoped for a conversation that reflected the reputed care and kindness the restaurant claims to uphold, but were left feeling dismissed especially after management never responded to our latest email addressing that. Moreover, while the dishes were well-presented, the portions were noticeably smaller than we've experienced at other Michelin-starred establishments. Additionally, the juice pairing, priced at 945 DKK for five drinks, felt overpriced in comparison to high-end beverages at other renowned venues. Alouette was an experience felt lacking in the hospitality department, an essential component for any fine dining establishment, especially one of this supposed caliber.
Local, sustainable, delicious, simply amazing.
Was with a group traveling through Denmark visiting many Michelin starred restaurants and producers that work with them. Trip ended and I went here by myself. My meal was a culmination of everything I learned on the trip and in my opinion the best of all the restaurants - slightly edging out Mota which had been in the lead. They really highlight the ingredients in a fresh way. The wine pairing was amazing as well. They will be relocating to a new place around the end of the year. Like other Michelin places you need to reserve months in advance. If you like veggies more than meat they will make sure your preferences are accommodated!

Superb from start to finish. Didn’t know what to expect when we arrived and were greeted before entering the compound but can sincerely say that every minute was exceptional. The food was amazing as were the staff and general ambiance of the place. The wine pairings were spot on. Thank you for an amazing evening and meal.
Great Dane south of Copenhagen!
I’m finding time to write a belated review of Alouette. However, despite the very generous accompanying tasting wines, the incredible experience remains to the fore in my memory. First off, Alouette is situated to the south of the city in a former pencil factory. You need to go into a courtyard, find a lift and it’s on the first floor. if you get this wrong you will meet nice people - but they will be smoking rather than cooking with herbs. The dining room is functional and possibly edgy. The staff are young,a goodly number Irish and cool and humerous. Lucklily I share many of these traits - except the young element. The food is of the very highest quality, imaginatively prepared and presented. There are quite a few twists and turns so I’m not going to ruin your surprises. The accompanying wines were excellent and I learned a few new things. Well deserving of its Michelin * and perhaps more.
Very disappointed.
I reserved a table at 5pm yesterday and was there earlier (4:45pm) just to make sure that i was on time. At around 4:50pm (while seated just across the main graffiti automatic roller door) I saw a young female wearing a blue polo top shirt and black jeans hoping that she will announce my name and get me. She basically walked in front of me (twice) without saying anything or just a matter of courtesy if “I am waiting for someone”. I’ve got a booking at 5pm so obviously the staff members would definitely know that some customers are waiting to be collected downstairs. At 5pm, none of staff member showed up until I called the restaurant. I was expecting that the customer service here is going above and beyond. I traveled half away across the world and my experience here was very poor. Management team, you need to be aware of this. I dined in Central (top 2) and Maido (top 11) , 2 of the 50th best restaurants in the world and their customer service were excellent! and your restaurant is not even close.

Can’t explain in words how utterly fantastic this restaurant is. The food is exceptional but it’s the staff that absolutely elevates it to the top. We have never been so in awe, laughed so much and had so much fun in a restaurant. From the excellent conversations with Daz, brilliant music selection at the end of the night by a fellow Kylie loving waiter (sorry we didn’t catch his name), to a fantastic tour of the kitchen with a big a*! extractor fan. Oh also the food is to die for. We will be back!

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* BraveCloth47, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* BraveCloth47 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to BraveCloth47 for any questions Peter may have as BraveCloth47 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* BraveCloth47 now uses their connections at Restaurant Alouette København to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If BraveCloth47 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, BraveCloth47 receives the $200 reward which is credited to BraveCloth47's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Restaurant Alouette København!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
