An amazing meal!
After eating here on my visit in 2020, I knew I had to come back! Everything about the meal was delicious, and the staff was excellent! I had a group of 17, including 8 12-14 year olds, and service was excellent! Every part of our meal was top-notch. I will never not eat here on trips to Reykjavík!

Excellent restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere. Not too crowded. Great service. Recommend the cod. Super tasty. Prices typical of Reykjavik.

Excellent food and friendly, courteous staff. Excellent value for money. We came to this restaurant 3 times for dinner. Congratulations to all the young people who work here. Advised .
Be the first to ReplyA nice surprise!
We ate at this restaurant the first evening we arrived in Reykjavik and we enjoyed it so much that we returned two more evenings. Excellent food and very kind staff. A special thank you to Veronica for her kindness and kindness! I recommend it very much!
Be the first to ReplyBest restaurant in Reykjavik (my view after exploring a few)
Fantastic restaurant with great selection of food and drinks (have the rhubarb aperitif). Lots of great gluten free options and reasonably priced. Really nice atmosphere with happy staff making it a good experience. Would recommend booking to ensure a table and this is easy online.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, but definitely have a reservation!
We ate dinner at the Reykjavik Kitchen, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! I had the 3 course meal with the wine pairing and it was well worth it. We lucked out and got there early because we did not have a reservation. We were able to sneak in and get one of the bar seats before the rush hit. Definitely make reservations if you want to go.

Very good food. The lamb was just amazing. We got the last table. So maybe book before you go to be sure to have a table. Worth a visit
Be the first to ReplyAnniversary meal
This was our absolute favourite meal in Reykjavik. We chose this restaurant for our anniversary meal after reading all the glowing reviews and we are so glad we did. My husband had the pasta which he said was fantastic and I had the beef tenderloin which was the best beef I have eaten for a while and not just in Iceland. The flavours and the quality of food in both of our dishes were phenomenal and it really made the occasion so special. The staff even bought out a glass of Prosecco for both of us to celebrate our anniversary which was truly appreciated. We also throughly enjoyed our desserts which were the chocolate brownie and the skyr crème brûlée. This finished an an amazing meal perfectly. We also thought this meal was really well priced considering how much our other meals were. Thank you for such a lovely dinner and we would recommend it to anyone coming to Reykjavik and looking for fantastic fresh food 😊
Be the first to ReplyCorrect without further ado
Given the previous opinions you expect to find something special, this is not the case. Normal restaurant, nothing special. The food is correct but not to remember. Although Iceland's prices are high, it seems to me that it is far above what they offer, which is a table without a tablecloth, a paper napkin, correct but not friendly treatment, and food similar to others in the area. It's not bad but it's not a "must"

Excellent food and exceptional service. I loved my salmon it was perfectly cooked. The cod and the lamb were also excellent. The servers were extremely accommodating and friendly. We also loved the drinks and desserts. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Reykjavik.
Be the first to ReplyThe best meal I’ve ever had
Wow! This was honestly the best meal I’ve ever had. Ever! I’m still thinking about it days later. Amazing food, brilliant staff and lovely surroundings. Not the cheapest meal but certainly worth every penny. I feel very privileged to have eaten here - thank you for a wonderful experience

I chose this restaurant as it was the highest rated Icelandic one on trip advisor , the food was excellent indeed , i had the cod and my daughter had the salmon which she said was the best shed ever had !It was all really fresh and tasted full of flavour
Be the first to ReplyExcellent all the way around. Gourmet at dinner pricing for the area.
Excellent all the way around. A quiet just off the main street location but walking distance within many of the hotels. Wife had the lamb and I had the Salmon. Service was prompt and friendly. No long wait for the food either. A gourmet meal is all respects but standard pricing expectations for Iceland. (In Iceland you can expect to pay 1.3X to 2X for jsut about everything you are used to in the USA) The Salmon presentation, taste, service and portion was beyond expectations as was the lamb. The sauce for each was unique and very flavorful. You should not go away hungry

What a treat this restaurant was. Seems to be very popular (and not very large) so definitely make a reservation. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Service was very good and attentive. I would definitely come back!

The place was packed and stayed that way until about 9. Meals were so delicious as was the dessert. Plenty of drinks on offer. A must to visit. I shall be back.

Worthwhile booking online in advance, a busy popular venue near a number of hotels. We obtained a 6.30pm mealtime on a Sunday 3 days in advance - but there weren't really any other options. We had a main course and desert each, salmon and tenderloin then sticky toffee pudding and creme brulee with a couple of beers each. About £150 for the 2 of us. Friendly service and some of the best food we've had in Reykjavik.

I have been here twice in 3 days. First time I chose the Ling fish with potatoes, spinach, sweet peppers and creamy blue cheese sauce 😋 👌. 2nd time Lamb ribeye with pumpkin and potato gratin, parsnip chips, carrots and charred lettuce

Lovely atmosphere in this restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food and service was amazing. It was very busy which is not surprising for a restaurant serving food of this quality. We had the lamb and it is honestly the best I have ever tasted. We were disappointed that we never managed to get back for another meal.
Be the first to ReplySuperb at a price!
These guys are VERY good. We had a lot of messing around trying to fit dinner in at this great restaurant around a Golden Circle Tour and a Northern Lights Tour and the staff handled this without issue. In the end we only had an hour here and managed the main course traditional Icelandic meat soup and a drink. Excellent food and flavours and they made us feel relaxed. The £60 price tag would have been a shock, but we'd been in Iceland for a couple of days and so were used to it.
Be the first to ReplyTop notch Icelandic cuisine
Fabulous local cuisine at a fair price (by Icelandic standards!) Great service, friendly staff, good atmosphere and then the food ! Enjoyed every bite, my partner doesn’t enjoy fish that much yet she stated whilst only a few mouthfuls in „this is the best fish I have ever had“ high praise indeed for the pan fried cod. I enjoyed the lamb ribeye and the fish soup. Puddings are always good to sweet tooth’s like us but these hit the mark. If you can only stretch to one meal out on your vacation you can’t go far wrong with Reykjavik Kitchen.

On the eastern edge of the town centre - nice restaurant for couples and families. Very friendly staff. Excellent set menu - salmon starter with lamb or cod mains plus a dessert. Very good value.

What a delightful little restaurant, we ate early as we’d had an early start to the day, but the place was full by the time we left, with walk ups queuing for a table. Very friendly attentive staff. We had fish soup and the black pasta, both of which were delicious. Sadly no room for any desserts but they looked delicious.
Be the first to ReplyA hidden gem in Reykjavik
Our experience at Reykjavik Kitchen was so great that we had to go there again before we left Island. The star of the menu is of course the “Icelandic Lamb”, but anything you order is made with attention to detail and so delicious I could even dare to compare it with a Michelin-Starred restaurant. The maître’d Daniel went above and beyond to make our evening special, thank you so much for that! We will return to Island and to this amazing hidden gem!

Great service. Our waiter (from Prague) was very friendly and chatty. We had booked in advance (for a group of 6) , the restaurant is quite small and was very busy whilst we were there. The menu itself was a little bit limited in terms of choices. The food was of very good quality, I went for 3 course menu, had the salmon to start (the fish tasted great but I am not sure about the combo salmon/very sweet melon) followed by lamb, creme caramel for dessert. I asked the waiter to recommend a red wine to go with the lamb, and his recommended wine was excellent. All in all a great evening,
