Ristorante Pizzeria al Bocconcino Forte dei Marmi Reviews
Authentic Italian Lunch
As a family of three we had a lovely lunch. Seated immediately on arrival (on a Monday at 1.30; we hadnβt booked and the restaurant was quite busy). Service was efficient and actually very friendly (esp. as our Italian is βdevelopingβ). Food arrived swiftly as was really very good (pizzas and pasta). For the location I was expecting a lofty bill but was 61 euros with drinks. We will come back again in a few days. Note most restaurants and shops close at 2.30.
Pizza.
..but not only This extraordinarily central restaurant has pleasant outside seating (with heat lamps in winter). You can treat it as a pizza joint, but it also has good fresh fish (Forte dei Marmi!) and pasta. We know the pizza best (our favorite fish restaurant is twenty meters away), and it is excellent--varied and reliable. Wait times are not long. The service is invariably efficient and agreeable. Good starters (salume and soup). Highly recommended for lunch or a relatively simple and not expensive dinner. Forte dei Marmi has grander places for sure--but Bocconcino ("little bite") is a very worthy entry.
