Typical fish soup from Vasto
We ate very fresh fish with soup in bottomless pans. Lots of good fish, truly exceptional. Even just for the soup we will be back.
It is no longer as it used to be.
Friendly and helpful staff. Very long times between one course and another. Dishes that no longer have the same appeal as a few years ago. Not very tasty and honestly not very pleasant. Costs disproportionate to quality and quantity. I'm afraid I'll never return.
Dinner with the master
Bobo is a master in the kitchen...we took advice from him...delicious dinner...excellent value for money...we will definitely be back to taste other delicacies

Tried it several times over the years and it has always been unique. Fresh fish and traditional cuisine with a hint of modernity that makes this place an absolute must. I love it. Average prices and fantastic owner.
BEYOND BELIEF!!
On Saturday evening I phone to book for 2 people for dinner the following day (Sunday), a reservation which was confirmed. Let me start by saying that I was in San Salvo and therefore it took me about 50 minutes to reach the restaurant, mostly along an ugly and unlit road. Having finally arrived at the restaurant, I am surprised to see the car park with only one car. While I am making the manoeuvre, a gentleman approaches, presumably a waiter or the owner's son, who asks me: are you the ones who made the reservation last night?. When I replied in the affirmative, he pointed out to me that the day before when booking, it had been overlooked that the restaurant was closed on Sundays. I'll let you imagine my amazement, I was more in disbelief than angry. What to say: I don't even want to comment, it's not worth wasting further time to define these people. I hope they change jobs and that customers run away. This is what they deserve.
Without infamy and without praise
A discreet dinner based on home-made cured meats, fried mozzarella and grilled lamb. Dining room staff not suited to the role and unprepared. There is no wine list but they are still local ones (pecorino, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Cerasuolo, etc..). I don't know the reasons why they got stuck in the kitchen but unfortunately that's how it is and the wait for a second course was exhausting so much so that Bobo came to the table to apologise. Their "tiramisu" is excellent. Low bill price.
There's no question about Bobo. You love.
Nothing to complain about this fantastic restaurant, even the weak points, all put in their place to make the experience even more magical. Highly recommended.
The shrimp step...
I love this structure and obviously the management of the legendary Bobo. But lately, especially the dining room service, is not up to the role, the staff is not skilled in the profession and is struggling to manage the customers. The kitchen also became slow with complaints from diners. I am very sorry for these inconveniences, I hope that everything will be resolved soon. For everything else, excellent cuisine. Recommended. August 2023.
How disgusting!
Terrible restaurant where we had dinner. The food was really poor quality, pre-cooked and with frozen raw materials, at times inedible! Service that was really leaking on all sides with 7 tables occupied inside and 2 outside, 2 people in the room (where however only 1 of the 2 takes the food orders), incredible confusion and a lot of disorganization. Horrible experience while also paying a fairly high bill. How disgusting! Never again !
Nightmare dinner
We booked a table for 8 (4 adults and 4 small children) at this restaurant two days in advance for 8.45pm. When we arrived on site, our reservation did not appear. They arrange a table in a sort of veranda near a closet/cash desk. After about 30 minutes we sit at the table set for only 6. So we ask for 2 more place settings. They bring us a menu with tasting menus of cooked fish or raw fish and à la carte menus with numerous dishes. We ask for water which arrives only after numerous requests at 9.30pm. After insisting several times they come to take the order at 10pm. We ask for 3 cooked fish tasting menus, a raw fish menu and pasta with meat sauce for the children. The waiter tells us that there is no pasta with meat sauce and that they don't serve à la carte menus. They only do tasting menus. In disbelief, we ask who owns the à la carte menu they brought us. And he confirms that they only do tastings and that of the two tasting menus there is only the one with cooked fish. We then take 4 cooked fish menus and some tagliolini with fish for the children, who arrive very calmly. We ask for the wine list and they tell us that they only have one type of white wine... we agree to have them bring us the only wine available and they bring us, after 20-30 minutes, a bottle of red wine. They tell us that it seems impossible to them because they had prepared the bottle of white. Hungry, we at least ask for the bread which we begin to stuff ourselves with. Very calmly they begin to bring us the appetizers. The shell of a scallop arrives with a caponata of vegetables inside and, at least in my case, a small piece of salmon skin, while the other diners get a couple of very small pieces of salmon. This is followed, after another wait, by a second tasting of an appetizer which we did not like, containing cheese puree (?!) Fish and legumes and which they did not even explain to us. Continue bread binging. It's 11pm and we are waiting for the third starter, which never arrived. In the meantime we ask for a portion of fried food for the children, they tell us that they have very little and we agree to have them bring the quantity they have. Never received. The first of the maltagliati arrived and gave the impression of a mixture of fish leftovers (a few prawns and pieces of mantis shrimp and two clams), which was therefore also unwelcome. Further surprise in the bathroom: new bathrooms but in poor hygienic conditions, dirty and without paper and soap. Exasperated and embarrassed, also given the time, we asked them not to bring anything else and to pay the bill for those two appetizers and the first course and we ran away.
A big mistake
We had dinner on 18/08/2023 at the RIBO' restaurant in Guglionesi, 4 adults and 4 children booked at 8.45pm. In the order: When we arrived the porch was dirty, full of cobwebs and battered; upon entering the restaurant our table had not been prepared because our reservation was not on the list (we later discovered that the same fate had happened to at least three other tables); After 15 minutes they arrange 2 round tables attached, forgetting 2 place settings and a chair. We sit down, time passes and one of the two waiters (for all the tables in the restaurant) brings us the menu (only one menu for everyone) and leaves without giving us any indication. We ask for water several times and to come and take orders at least for the children so they can eat, it's 9.40pm and the water finally arrives; we order, or at least that's what we wanted to do but the waiter tells us that that menu was not correct and that only the cooked fish tasting menu is served, the other, raw fish is only written on the menu but non-existent. We then choose 4 cooked fish tasting menus and 4 half portions of ray tagliolini for the children. We ask for the wine list, we are told that there is none and that they only have one white wine, without indicating which one, exhausted we agree for a bottle of unknown white. Tens of minutes pass, some guests from other tables leave the restaurant without having finished dinner, enraged by the "service" and the menu. The first courses on the menu arrive (without any explanation) they bring us a scallop shell with a salad of vegetables and some crumbs of salmon, hunger makes itself felt and we gobble bread, the only solution to appease the pangs of hunger. The bottle of wine finally arrives, of course we are not told what it was, we pour it (alone) and ironically it is a bottle of red. It seems to be a joke aside. After a while they finally bring us a white (aglianico). The tagliolini finally arrive and they are edible, nothing plated with care or any refinement. The second appetizer arrives, again without any explanation they leave us a glass with a savory mousse (perhaps chickpea or other vegetables) containing a single shrimp that seems to have accidentally fallen into the glass. It's 11pm and our nerves are on edge, we ask for a second course for the children and are told that the frying isn't enough for all four of us, not even a sign of the third starter for the adults yet. We then warn the waiter to stop the menu since we will have left the place, in the meantime every now and then a dishwasher comes out of the kitchen who brings some dishes, clears the table and does the accounting for the payments. The guests look at each other in dismay. At 11.30pm the first courses arrive (they had forgotten the third starter in the meantime), a pasta with some prawns (to be cleaned) and a third of mantis shrimp piled up on the plate. We decide to get up and pay the bill and leave the place. It felt like being in the "nightmare kitchens" program. In summary, I believe that the reviews on this restaurant no longer correspond to the current state of the art (perhaps the management has changed??). The worst dinner of my life, an evening ruined by the absolute lack of professionalism and the very poor quality of the (little) food tasted.

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
