Don't miss this outstanding dining experience.
Absolutely outstanding. Beet salad and brussel sprouts were outstanding. Had halibut and Wild Salmon and the presentation was beautiful and the fish was cooked perfectly. A smorgasbord of flavors!! Connor our server was attentive, knowledgeable and personable. Entire staff were friendly. Great atmosphere. Nice beverage selections. Wonderful dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food from a truly great kitchen.
This was our best dining experience in Park City. We were a party of 10 with a reservation and were promptly seated upstairs in front of the Piano. Service was quick as we had cocktails and ordered wines which were promptly served. We ordered various dishes and were pleasantly surprised at the how great the food is at Riverhorse. I started with the Mushroom Salad which I found to be delicious and very creative with different flavors and sauces. After I had Salmon with Eggplant and again, very original dish attractively served and absolutely delicious. I have been to a lot of restaurants and appreciate the creative dishes. The chef is not just going through the paces, this is really well thought out food combined beautifully. We tried three different wines from the list and enjoyed them all. A great dinner!
Be the first to ReplyThe Flavor Capital of Park City
Please see my review from January 2015 as this will be a ditto and confirmation of the continuing greatness of this restaurant. Again I had the wild game trio after a quail appetizer and just as in 2015 the buffalo could be cut with a fork. What makes this place unique is the complimentary flavors offered that brings everything together. All fresh and innovative with emphasis on a balance of flavor the enhances the main food served. The quail had a great fruity sauce that blew me away. Reservations are an absolute must and should be made months in advance. The place is always loud and crowded but service was good and friendly. The wine list is smaller from what I remember before. Prices are around 3X retail and there are some OK choices but I recommend you bring your own and pay the moderst corkage. It is a shame that their wine list does not really complement the chef's innovative cuisine. But in the end the food here is the best you will find in the area and I will continue to come yearly

I came here with my two kids ages 8 and 6. They were on their iPads which was not loud because I could not hear it from across the table and we’ve been to multiple restaurants with them on it and we immediately tell them if it is. I could however hear the conversation from other guests two tables away. One of the guests complained about the iPad and I could clearly hear her conversations from my table. Instead of assessing the situation the manager Greg immediately asked us to turn the iPad down which I could not hear from right across the table. I however felt like the lady across from us whose conversation I could clearly hear had a problem with kids. The manager Greg should have properly assessed the situation. It ruined my night. The food was good and our server Josephine was exceptional which saved the night. However I would not go back. I felt that the manager was discriminating with families with smaller kids.
Be the first to ReplySpecial occasion - never again.
Supposed to be the best in Park City. Came for a special occasion and they didn't honor the reservation time until 20 minutes late. The starters were nice. If I could have heard myself think they might have been good. It's been an hour and a half and the mains are not here. I want to escape from this loud, average, chaotic, slow-service place, full of loud people and video game-playing children. We are asking for the check before the mains arrive. We regret staying this long. Sadly, the 12 year old at the table next to us has coughed the whole meal (never covered his mouth once) and played his video game loudly the whole time. The place is a cacophony of noisy guitar, loud voices, and I-can't-hear-myself-think. I'll be hoarse from shouting tomorrow. And likely sick after that. Where is our food? Where is the server? If you wait long enough your appetite goes away. Told our server and asked for the check. Found a manager, shared our story. The end.
Be the first to ReplyGood, not great
One of the most popular spots in Park City. Food was better than the aesthetic of the space which felt like a mishmash of design styles and rooms. Food was good, service ok. Very expensive even by PC standards.
Be the first to ReplyA perfect evening!
My husband and I had a reservation (a must) and were seated in the main dining room just outside of the glass sunroom. The room is beautiful and so pleasing to the eye. Our server was kind and very helpful, with suggestions for dinks and entrees. We both had delicious drinks and food. The beet salad is so tangy yummy and the lobster bisque divine! Our entrees were perfection. We dined during the earlier part of the evening since it was the only reserved spot we could get but the pace was not rushed and we enjoyed almost 2 full hours for our meal start to finish. There were all sorts of people- dressed up couples, parents with multiple young kids, people just done skiing, you name it. This was such an enjoyable evening and to be able to look out over the snow covered balconies of Main Street made it perfect. I also think the prices were on par for the quantity and quality of the food for any upscale resort area. So many mentions of pricey restaurants in Park City. Let’s face it, if you can afford to ski here, you can afford a dinner on Main Street. Thanks for a great evening. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyA memorable meal
The most exquisite meal. We sat by the window looking out on Main Street (perfect to the start of a milestone birthday celebration for my husband). The food and service puts Riverhorse a cut above anything else you can find in Park City. We went meat heavy as that is clearly a feature of the menu. We first enjoyed the land appetizer, a trio quail leg lollipops, pork potstickers, and waygu beef bites. I had the entree of wild game - also a trifecta of Buffalo, bison, and elk. My husband started his theme of ribeye steaks. We switched our main sides as I loved their sweet potatoes and creamed spinach. The waiter was attentive, firm with recommendations with strong knowledge of the menu, and checked in to meet our needs. Our only regret, no room for dessert, though the cupcake to celebrate they provided was insanely good. The bill was accompanied by a pepita nut brittle, a little too sticky for my tastes but a nice wrap up. Cocktails and wines were unique and not the typical list you find in restaurants. And for the non-drinker at the table, cheers for excellent mocktails, as well...something that should be standard anywhere in Utah, but isn't.

Excellent meal from start to finish. Lobster 🦞 bisque was awesome. Ahi tuna app was fresh and tasty. Crusted Halibut with mashed potatoes was delicious. Nice upscale atmosphere. I’ll be returning soon!
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelming
Unfortunately, this was the place we were looking forward to dining at the most during our trip and we were underwhelmed. We appreciate the host/hostess working to accommodate us at an earlier time and maybe that attributed to our disappointing experience. It started off good with our friendly waitress and the apple cider cocktail and the buffalo tartare. The focaccia and butter were delicious, but the amuse from the chef was supposedly pork, but tasted fishy. It went downhill from here. I ordered the ahi tuna and the risotto was so salty I could not eat it. My friend's entrée was equally as salty (she ordered the center cut filet). We both left a majority of our entrees untouched. Our waitress disappeared for about 45 minutes during this time. A food runner/busboy, who was very sweet, came and took our plates, but no one asked if there was a problem with our meals. We opted not to have dessert at that point. Also, the live music was so melancholy and sleepy. Overall, an expensive and disappointing meal.
Be the first to ReplyVery Good Dining Experience
Had a wonderful dinner at Riverhorse. Excellent service and food to go with a superb wine and cocktail option. Enjoyed live music the night we went. Acoustic guitar/solo. Beautiful atmosphere. Only complaint was our Oysters. $6 ea. and they were the smallest I ever had. One shell was empty. Other than that it was fantastic!

Wonderful meal and service . Very impressed with the quality, our waitress was very knowledgeable. Wine was fab too - only draw back was the live music ( we visited on a Saturday evening) the singer was fantastic but it was too loud and we were sitting quite a distance from him - you had to shout to talk at your table . We will definitely come back
Be the first to ReplyFive star dining experience.
My son and I we’re in Park city a 10 day ski trip. We at some other very good restaurants, Riverhorse was the best experience we had. We started with the Japanese Wagyu carpaccio Appetizer,
Portion size was very small. Quality was excellent. Then we both had iceberg salads with gorgonzola and bacon. Again excellent.
My son had the 7 ounce center cut fillet,
Also excellent.
I had the macadamia and crusted alaskan halibut.
Very slightly overcooked but still good.
Wait staff was friendly and professional.
Slight attitude from assistant hostess when I asked for a different table. Bad attitude from coat check girl when I offered her a couple of dollars for holding my coat during dinner.
Obviously she felt a couple of dollars for holding my coat during dinner was not a suitable amount for the service.
Overall I am still giving Riverhorse a five star rating and I would definitely return the next time we are in Park city as I’m sure they can overcome these small issues.
Riverhorse on Main
Riverhorse on Main knows how to do everything right. The service, ambiance, drinks and every morsel of food we ate was amazing!!!!!!!!! Best meal I have had in a long time.

Dinner was great. Get the short ribs!!! Lamb chops for appetizers, shrimp and perogies, were all amazing, live music. Great Atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyVery Good Reputable Institution
I say institution because the long reputation for good food and service will draw you in if you are in town for an extended stay. Our group of 6 enjoyed the cocktails and French Onion Soup Pierogies. The Game Trio was perfect. The Pastas and Short Ribs and Macadamia Nut Sea Bass were winners as well. The desserts did not disappoint either.
Be the first to ReplyThanksgiving Pick Up
Picked up Thanksgiving Dinner for 17. Turkey, Ham, Short Ribs, Dressing, Sweet Potato, Green Beans, Dip, Mashed Potato, Pumpkin and Apple Pies. Ready on time, very helpful pick-up staff, well prepared and delicious food. Ready 45 minutes after pickup with a short oven warm. Wonderful service and food for pick up on a special occasion.
Be the first to ReplyWorth the Visit
We enjoyed our dinner at Riverhorse. The atmosphere is stylish and spacious. The beet salad was too acidic for my taste, but the ribeye we shared was cooked to perfection. The potatoes in duck fat were delicious and the green beans were a good compliment. Our vegan Napoleon was good….my husbands choice as I’m not one for vegan pastries. Service was attentive and conscientious. Overall a lovely evening.
Be the first to ReplyNot as good as expected
We brought two friends who had seen good reviews so we decided to try it. Service was good, but the soup arrived only warm and had a "skin" on top indicating it had been sitting for a while. Entrees were solid. I had haddock, my partner had the meat trio of bison, venison, elk. Our guests were less impressed with their food. The worst part of the evening was the very loud atmosphere in general, and the very poor piano player/singer who just added to the noise. Rather than background music, it became the center of attention and killed any chance at conversation. When it came time for coffee and dessert, we declined so that we could get out of there as soon as we could. Finally, this restaurant is very expensive. Not worth it in my opinion for the barroom/lounge atmosphere which overwhelms any chance at enjoying a meal.
