Overhyped.
Bread, blue crab lemon spaghetti and dry aged steak carpaccio were delicious. Mozzarella cart not worth it. It was nothing special. The dry aged Rohan duck was also not worth it, taste was mediocre and dry. Burnt cheesecake was pretty tasteless. Would go back to try the other pastas but overall not impressed.
Be the first to ReplyHad a great birthday dinner here.
Awesome ambiance. The wine selection is good but the martinis were amazing. Can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely a Michelin star worthy restaurant.
Make sure you make a reservation in advance because they book up quickly. We did the mozzarella cart experience which is pricey but delicious. It was also cool to see how they make it, the warm mozzarella caught me off guard but was yummy. Both pastas I tried were tasty but my favorite was the spaghetti al limone - really light and fresh. For the dessert, the pistachio gelato ice cream was devine. The service was exceptional, our waitress was really attentive and had great attention to detail. They also have a great selection of wines and after drinker drinks. Definitely will be back!
Be the first to ReplySuper delicious!!!! I loved the mezcal & pepper drink.
Cant remember what it was called. The mozzarella cart was absolutely amazing. 15/10. The squid ink pasta with lobster was fab!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely amazing.
My mom was visiting so of course I had to take her to one of the best restaurants in Tampa. The service was 10/10 every little detail was addressed. Even our napkins, someone would come and fold it for us when they see it on the table. Everyone was super friendly and easy to talk to. Everything that ordered was absolutely delicious. The Mozzarella cart is a must, not your typical caprese salad. The RAVIOLINI Del PLIN was spot on perfection. If I'm nitpicking I would say that the honey in the Pistachio Gelato was not needed also the orange marmalade was a bit too sweet for me. However, it was still one of the best olive oil cakes and pistachio gelatos that I've ever tried. I was notified in the end that everything is made in house. So, props to the chef and his team for maintaining the consistency between each dish, I love that. Overall, I 100% recommend.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was really really good.
I loved the SPAGHETTI Al LIMONE. Can't go wrong with butter, crab and pasta. The service was really really really good, such a great experience! The lighting & overall ambiance of Rocca is very elegant and a great atmosphere for date night!
Be the first to ReplyTruly exceptional!!! So deserving of their Michelin star.
The only place I have been that might have better Italian food is in Italy. Everything was impeccably prepared and presented. From the drinks, to the bread (all home made), the pasta and dessert. It truly felt well executed, well balanced and delicious. Love that they use a lot of local ingredients and make almost everything in house. The service was good and attentive. The restaurant is nice and modern, clean. The mozzarella cart is a must. Nice tableside show and you can't get fresher mozzarella. The tomatoes are from Plant City (local) and have never tasted better. The basil is from the chef's mom's garden. The truffle pasta is outstanding. I still think of it. So simple yet So tasty. Highly recommend!

Love their food and our server was great! Will be coming back! Expreso martini wasn't the best, but the food made everything worth it.
Be the first to ReplyEvery time I go to Rocca I'm impressed.
Besides the fact that I'm obsessed with the ambiance and lighting inside, the dishes and experience is consistently great. We tried some new starters this time. The dry aged steak carpaccio was so fresh you could really tell the quality. The mushroom mix underneath paired with it so well. We also tried the Ora king salmon crudo which I believe is a new item. This dish looked like art and tasted like it too. The salmon was fatty and not fishy whatsoever. Super tender and the mirage of flavors does a dance in your mouth. This really impressed me. For dinner we shared the spaghetti Al limone which is a a lemony crab pasta that we get every time. It's always great- so light and fresh. They had lamb chops on on special for the night so we went for it being big lamb chop fans. Wow this blew us away. They table side pour the sauce one the dish comes out. It's two large chops and they were cooked perfectly medium. The Japanese sweet potato on the side was amazing as well. I would try to order this while they'll running this dish because it's probably my favorite I've had here. As always the service was great, they brought out a cute birthday dessert for my boyfriend as well. Drinks are always good too! Of course- we'll be back.

Wowwww!! I have no words, there was not a single thing here I thought was just OK... Everything was excellent from the food to the service , I can't believe I wanted this long to come here. Definitely a must if you're in the area!
Be the first to ReplyI came here for a special occasion.
We ordered the mozzarella cart and the duck entrée everyone raves about and these dishes did not disappoint!! The duck entrée in particular was one of the best preparations of duck I've ever had! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their menu is seasonal, but there are some dishes that are on the menu all year. I look forward to trying their truffle pasta when I return.

This is one of the best Italian spots in Tampa! It's right next to Armature Works and has amazing offerings. I definitely recommend the mozzarella cart experience as it's something I don't think you could find anywhere else. The pasta is awesome and all freshly made. We really liked the chocolate dessert too!
Be the first to ReplyThe host staff smiled and welcomed us.
The food oh my god!!!! Libby the server was absolutely amazing!!! I have a lot of allergies. She was all over it every step of the way. I've been in the industry 32 years. Everything was perfection!!!

Overall experience and food were terrific! I loved everything that I ordered and the Mozarella Cart is a must! Super fresh and so fun to watch how they make mozzarella right at your table. Fresh pasta and a great selection of wine and cocktails. I can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu. What I ordered:- Bread: lemon butter, sea salt- Carne Cruda: grass-fed steak tartare, focaccia, lemon- Little Gem Salad: mint, shallot, pecorino romano, breadcrumbs, anchovy, vinaigrette- Asparagus: saffron zabaione, seabeans, but leek, hazelnut - Mozzarella Cart: heirloom tomato, basil, 10-year-aged balsamic vinegar PASTAS: - Tagliolini al Ragu: beef ragu, basil, 30 month parmigiano- Truffle Pasta
Be the first to ReplyIt was good but not great.
The space is beautiful. The service was ok but not particularly attentive or overly friendly. It was pretty expensive for what you got. The mozzarella cart was fun but to be honest I've had better and for $44 they should absolutely positively offer some bread to go with it, as it's definitely needed to fully appreciate the dish. The separate bread offering was ok but again not a lot of value for what you get (4 small pieces for table of 4). Three of us at the table thought the pastas were ok but nothing fantastic. My wife loved everything. I thought that the pastas, especially my raviolini, we more a delivery vehicle for the filling but not much more. Plus the sauce didn't adhere to the pasta but just kinda pooled in the plate. They upsold me on the wine, which was slightly annoying. Overall it was a good experience but not worth a return visit for us.
Be the first to ReplyFood overall was incredible.
Started with Shrimp Fritti, Mozzarella Cart (must have, great presentation), and split the Branzino dish between two people. The shareable dishes are more than enough for two people. We paired our dinner with a bottle of Prosecco Service was great no complaints and everything came on time Vibes were on point, the music fit the ambiance perfectly. Looking forward to coming back and would recommend to anyone!

We went there Saturday night for my birthday with six people. The table side mozzarella service was awesome and all the pasta dishes we ordered were very good as well as the wine recommendations that the waiter made. The only thing I have a criticism of is the sliced steak for $85. It was undercooked and chewy. Total bill came to $700 which is not cheap. Overall I give it four stars.
Be the first to ReplyHands down, the best restaurant in Tampa.
It's expensive, but can you really put a price on heaven? No one even comes close, so far.

Table side Mozzarella by the cart !!!!!If asked what are the top three places I've been to in Florida this is absolutely one of them! From beginning to end the service here is top tier. Your table will be swept clean by the time your next plate is set and your water will never go without a fill. There's something so great about service where they make the customer feel so special. This is the place for a gastronomical experience. The mozzarella here is something they prepare table side and I'm not kidding you when I say it's going to be the best mozzarella you've tried in Florida hands down. And don't even get me started on that Shrimp Fritti probably one of the best appetizers I've had ever. The pasta I ordered I'll be dreaming of until the next time I return it was so incredible. The blue crab was perfect and the lemon in was so perfectly acidic but balanced. We also really enjoyed our drinks I actually got a mock tail and it was probably my favorite mock tail I've ever had, you couldn't tell me there was no alcohol in that lol it was very enjoyable. Highly recommend this for a special occasion as it could get pricey it all depends on what you're ordering. Seriously one of the best dining experiences and dinners I've had in Florida I truly cannot wait for our next visit!
Be the first to ReplyWent here for a chefs table experience with a large group.
This is an outstanding and fresh option for Italian in the area, a bit lighter fare than more traditional Italian. Wish I got more pictures but this was devoured before I even thought to snap a pic which is saying something!!! My favorites where the table side mozz (yes it's very much worth it and very different than store bought) and the shrimp limone pasta. Take note some dishes are quite fancy and almost michelin-esque like the gnocchi while some may feel more familiar like the bolognese. The reviews already have great pictures so take a look through. The sommelier gave us great options for a few different bottles that paired great with our choices for the night. Would certainly return!

..AMAZING!I don't know why I waited so long to dine here but man oh man it was just incredible from beginning to end. We started with some delicious bread with lemon butter and I had to stop myself because it was too good. I didn't want to fill up just on bread alone lol. After we were served a salad and steak tartare. The salad was so good. I cannot remember what the dressing was but I need that recipe haha. The steak tartare was extremely gorgeous with the flowers atop and the taste matched the presentation. For the main dish we had their 20oz strip. It was so moist and tender it had to be sous vide if I were to guess. It was also served with the bits of fat that were so salty and yummy. It came with a kind of chimchuri of sorts but it really didn't need it. The steak by itself was perfect. We had broccolini on the side that was a nice compliment as well.To conclude our feast we chose two different gelatos. Both were equally as delectable. I definitely want to come back here but I need to remember to reserve the duck! That is what I want. THE DUCK. Thanks to our server Rudolph for a wonderful evening as well. He was awesome!
Be the first to ReplyFirstly, Rocca doesn't have a parking lot of their own.
Most parking is shared between other businesses/Armature Works. If you're lucky, you'll find street parking. Otherwise, it's $10 to park in the lot across the street. I would recommend making a reservation in advance and allow 10-15 mins for parking before your reservation. Upon arrival to Rocca, it was packed. The service was great and attentive. We had a few glasses of wine, which were excellent, the bread and the mozzarella cart to start. The bread was so good! 5/5! The mozzarella cart was cool to see and tasted great but nothing "out-of-this-world." I feel like it would be great to experience once and then you're good for the next times you go. For our entrees we got the TAGLIOLINI al RAGU and the TAGLIOLINI al TARTUFO which were both on the saltier side and in my opinion, not worth the money. A few notes would be that I wish there was outside seating. They have plenty of room to do so and I would feel it was be a great view, especially during sunset. I also wish the front door of the restaurant had some type of signage. I was confused and hesitant to open the door because it looked unfinished. My rating of 4/5 would reflect the great service, wine and the appetizers we had. Minus 1 star for parking and the pastas.

Absolutely amazing! The food here is amazing! We got the caprese mozzarella and they made the mozzarella fresh table side. We got a few different pastas and they were all super fresh and very flavorful. You could tell the pasta was hand made and the ingredients were fresh. The Banana fosters dessert was exceptional as well. I wasn't a huge fan of the lemon tart. It was way to tart. The only reason for 4 stars is their service wasn't very good and they seemed very in organized.

The food was amazing! Definitely get the mozzarella cart, worth the wait! The service on the other hand was the worst I've ever received. The waiter questioned me on every dish I ordered and when it came to dessert I wanted 2 different items and he had the nerve to ask me if "I was sure I had room?" It shouldn't matter. If I wanted to order it, eat 2 bites and leave I could. He was very belittling. I have eaten at many expensive restaurants and have never received such pretentious service. 5 stars for the food. 1 star for the service.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best dinners I've in a hot minute.
Where do I even start? Great cocktails. Loved the "Children of the Corn" cocktail. Great wine list. Fresh made in house pasta. And the mozzarella cart will knock you off your feet! Don't miss this place when in Tampa.
