Loved this place! The food was top notch.
Highly recommend the tuna crudo, OMG! All the different oysters my husband had were amazing. Our server was so attentive and very careful with our son's allergies which is so tricky when eating out - made us feel so comfortable. Highly recommended it!

A commemorative lunch, remembering a friend who annually treated me to oysters. I had a New England dozen, with two new faves: briny Sweet Necks (Martha's Vineyard) and meaty Riptides (Westport MA). A glass of Domaine de la Ferrandière, fabulous! Then clam chowdah, very rich, and then I went overboard with the delectable crab cake. The "side" buttermilk biscuit is HUGE, as big as the late Queen's pillbox hats. Could easily serve four. Attentive service from Agatha, thank you! Noise level low, no rush to leave, all in all an experience I hope to repeat soon.

My favorite is their beat salad its so fresh and unlike any other beat salad! They are known for their ginormous biscuit which is just heavenly delicious and savory. This place gets busy so reservation is a must! And the food is def amazing. *** The only thing that made me cringe about this place is that on your bill there is like 15% (not sure of the exact amount but + -) for their extra staff service fee. (Not part of standard tip for the waiters) do i need to pay for your rent and bathroom cleaning fee too w my food? Shouldnt that be pre arranged by the restaurant management team so that we dont have to pay for their staff on the side on top of our 25 dollar salads? Strange way to make customers pay

I wanted to try the lobster rolls and I was blown away by how amazing both rolls were . They cost a whopping $58 each, so definitely more of a splurge spot, but worth every bite. Our waiter recommended the biscuit and we also tried the cornbread. Both were amazing but if you could choose one, I would definitely say go with the biscuit.

We had a private event there in their semi private dining area and we wouldn't change a thing! Working with the staff leading up to the event was very seamless. Everyone was very on top of things! The space is cute and even though it was semi private, it felt 100% private. They even set up a little bar in there. The food was excellent! Half of the party was from out of town and absolutely adored the lobster rolls, but my favorite things were the apps and drinks! They were also very accommodating for allergies. I would definitely use them again for a private party and recommend you do so too!

Be the first to ReplyThis has quickly become one of my favorites in Boston.
The seafood is amazing! The service is top notch. The timing impeccable making for a great meal. The location is great and the atmosphere is great. The raw bar is fantastic ; some of the best shucked oysters I have had and the selection was fantastic. The Tuna crudo is not to be missed. Best bite I have had in a while. The oyster sliders are fantastic, super crispy and delicate fried oysters in a great slider. Overall I highly recommend.

Just went here for the first time and I will absolutely be coming back. Very cool vibes whether you are eating at a table or sitting at the bar. I would highly encourage getting the fried chicken slider - my favorite of the night! Thomas was our server and he was amazing! He was so thorough from taking our order, serving and taking the plates - he is also a pro at checking in at the right times, not too much and not too little. I was celebrating my birthday tonight and Thomas made it so special, I really appreciate how he went out of his way. I got a candle in my dessert and although that seems so small, I haven't done that in so many years and it just made all the difference. Highly recommended!!

The Oysters, Fresh As Can Be. Tasty Too! On Display, They Shuck Em Right In Front Of You. Great For The Ambiance Of Seafood. I Got 3 Different Kind; The "Swell" Ones Were My Fav :). Clam Chowder Was Thick, Creamy & Definitely Had Clams. The Best Part Was The Fried Oyster Slider. So Simply Put Together, The BEST Slider I've Ever Had. Service Was Ok, Could Use A Little More Attentiveness. All In All, A Great Experience. Coming Back Here Every Time I Visit Boston.
Be the first to ReplyBeet salad was ok.
Not enough goat cheese. Beets were not prepared very well...didn't think beets could be served al dente. I had a pasta dish with clams and sausage...I can't remember the name. It was just ok. A little too oily for me. Lacked flavor. Others at my table said their dishes were just ok. Said the hake lacked seasoning. Staff was friendly and helpful in what to order. Restaurant itself was very clean and a nice space.
Be the first to ReplyDined at Row 34 as a party of 3.
This was my 2nd time visiting and overall, it was a fair experience. Great service, pleasant ambiance, with okay food that may be just a touch overpriced in my opinion. The variety in the raw bar selection was just as good as the first time I visited. The oysters were fresh and flavorful. The only downside was that one of the members of our party found a squirming worm/larva of some sort in one of the oysters just before she was about to eat it, which was obviously a surprise. However, our server was quick to address the issue and bring back a new oyster and she took it off our final bill so we were grateful to her for the quick help and efficiency in addressing the issue! Thank you to her!Other food we had:- Oysters: 9.5/10- Salmon Crudo: 9/10 - amazing; the puffed wild rice was a wonderful textural component, the fish was super fresh, and the leche de tigre was sharp and simply delicious- Lager Steamed Mussels: 6/10 - have had better mussel dishes- Housemade Mafaldine: 6/10 - lackluster overall- Baked Hake: 9/10 - the beans were fantastic; though the hake lacked much flavor, it was clean and fresh - 242 Fries: 7/10 - not crispy by any means (but how bad could hot potato in any form really be?)

Row 34 bangs, the salmon spread was unreal and the oyster po' boy was amazing. My wife got the warm lobster roll and is obsessed! All the drinks were amazing as well! Highly, HIGHLY, recommend.
Be the first to ReplyBest oysters around.
Great selection. Always fresh. Simple, clean, high-quality seafood. Fluke ceviche tacos and all of the crudos are great. One of the best, most reliable raw bars around. Lots of hard surfaces at the Boston Seaport location so it's noisy but the food makes it worth it.

4.5 starsEverything we tried was solid! Highlights were definitely the crab risotto and the lobster roll. The service was also very attentive. We were sharing all of our dishes, and our server was so nice to give our dishes already split in two different portions. The place has a modern, industrial-chic vibe that fits well with the location.

A quick trip to Boston calls for lobstah, so when a friend who know the scene, recommended Row 34, I made this my first stop in the city. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but found a $20 spot in the attended lot behind the restaurant. Loved the vibe from the second I walked in the door. Casual, but upscale with an open warehouse/fish market feel. Super friendly staff. Attentive service. Amazing food and signature cocktails! Loved the "Thanks for the Clarification"! It paired perfectly with the warm buttered lobster roll!!! My date had the chicken over spatzel, which was great, too. Not that we saved room for it, but our awesome server treated us to a complimentary butterscotch pudding to share. It was delicious! That lobster!!! My mouth is still watering. Yes, $46 for a sandwich is borderline ridiculous, but I'd do it again in a second!!!

We stopped in for lunch with our 4 year old after the boat show and saw other families with kids, which was a good sign. We were not disappointed, as the service and food were outstanding. The manager who sat us gave my daughter a paper kids menu, which had a crab she could color on the back (crayons provided too), which kept her occupied. Her food came out super fast too, allowing her parents to enjoy a cocktail, oysters, smoked salmon, oyster stew, and the oyster lettuce cups - all fresh and every dish was delicious. Toward the end of the meal, my daughter made it a point to say thank you to the manager by gifting him her drawing of the crab. A big thank you to all the staff for being so welcoming and to the chefs for turning out amazing food. We're all big fans of Row 34.

TL;DR: The Salmon and Tuna Crudos were phenomenally executed with heavenly combinations of flavors and textures. The Seared Skate was solid but left something to be desired, and the Butterscotch pudding was also okay but uninteresting. Off Season cocktail was lovely and refreshing. The service was speedy, knowledgeable, and attentive.George RR Martin-esque review. This review had me right at the 5,000 character limit. Thankfully, no severe trimming was needed.I have a confession: I am not particularly a seafood fan, except for sushi, which I eat like Kirby. There I am, at a bar chatting with a guy visiting from Chicago. He asks me if I have a recommendation for seafood, one of the few categories where I have nothing. Thankfully the bartender stepped in for the rescue with Row 34. After saying to my new Chicagoan friend, "Always trust the bartender!" I decided to try Row 34 for myself!I had the opportunity to try the following:- 1x/each Oysters (10 total)- Salmon Crudo- Tuna Crudo- Skate- Butterscotch Pudding- Espresso- Off SeasonThe oysters were superb! While I am not an oyster connoisseur, these seemed to have some differentiation between them, enough that I'd know which to get if I re-order. I want to give some love to the oysters (except for two) being of very modest size. They were also clean and devoid of sediment. While one contained a tiny piece of cartilage, this oyster was massive, so net/net, I'm not going to make a fuss! The Salmon and Tuna Crudos were both phenomenal! Both dishes are executed and elevated to perfection! The Salmon Crudo had fish of stellar quality! These were cuts of salmon belly, so it was a fattier (thus melt-in-your-mouthier) consistency. The fish delivered an Oscar-winning performance, yet the supporting acts cannot be understated! The jalapeno gave just the right amount of bite with a faint poke of heat. The crisp rice gave a small amount of crunch/crispness that helped contrast the tenderness of the salmon.Meanwhile, the orange pieces offered their own contrast by adding a touch of citrusy sweetness. I liked the use of herbs to add some additional freshness and earthiness. Finally, the avocado leche de tigre was unique and exciting. If I am to name a critique, it is that the dish was a hair (indeed, an immaterial amount) acidic for my taste. Then, enter the Tuna Crudo. Ditto with the Salmon Crudo, the same notes about high-quality fish allowed to shine. Yet, I will still give you the breakdown like we're on Chopped!Despite some similarities, the Tuna Crudo was a wholly new experience! The crisp shallot gives just the right amount of crunch. Meanwhile, when it comes to sauces, the black garlic aïoli and ginger went together like bread and butter, PB&J, Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks... you get the metaphor. They worked together to offer some pleasant sweetness and a wheelbarrow full of savoriness! Finally, the avocado worked well in terms of texture.Moving away from the Raw Bar, I went for the Roasted Skate. This dish was notably more spartan than the Crudos. On the one hand, it was delectable, but the bar was set sky-high, and I was hoping for some a step above just a solid piece of fish. The fish was tender and seared to perfection, giving it a paper-thin crust with a light, toasty flavor. It was seasoned ever so delicately with a perfect spritz of citrus. The fish had a whisper of sweetness, too, that I enjoyed. Finally, bonus points for the medallions that come off almost on their own. Under the fish was something I lack the words to describe, other than a puree of some kind. This one was unique and pleasant. My critique here is regarding the cauliflower and carrots. While roasted in the same fashion as the fish, they felt unrefined and almost as if an afterthought to say, "well, there're veggies on the plate."I had just enough room in my stomach for dessert and went for the Butterscotch Pudding. The idea is good, but in practice is room for improvement. I loved the homemade whipped cream as well as the candied pecan pieces. Though, I felt they were more sugar than pecan. These being on top, they ran out quickly, and I was left with pudding alone. The pudding was flavorful and not too sweet, though it was just pudding in the absence of anything else. Oh, and while pretty, the container used makes it hard to scrape the sides! Words of advice: make the container shorter and wider. If not blending something into pudding, add more candied pecans and whip up top.For a drink, I got an Off Season. It was gently sweet, boozy, and carbonated. Unbelievably refreshing, bright, and citrusy. Good thing I stuck to one; else, I could inhale three of these!Meanwhile, the espresso (with dessert) is excellent coffee, but $4.50 for a tiny, single espresso shot seems excessive. The service was superb. My server was knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. Food came out reasonably fast, also. With a water bottle on the table, refilling to add 37 drops seems a bit much.
